Ionic makes me happy too! Thanks to it, and mostly to videos and tutorials like yours I could develop my very first mobile app succesfully, so I'm grateful to you and all ionic community.
13:13 True. I'm currently getting excited from binge watching Ionic tutorials. You can achieve so much so fast with Ionic it's kinda ridiculous - in a good way :D
Du hast das in dem Podcast Programmier bar echt gut erklärt. Hat mir sehr gefallen, dass du mal in deutsch gesprochen hast, bzw. einen Auftritt auf deutsch gehabt hast. Deine Videos sind klasse. Weiter so !
It's funky but I've been doing ionic apps for years n years. Recently with the improvements in pwa support with iOS I've gone pure pwa and it's been amazing being able to take my years old apps and with minimal changes put them out as pwa, removing my dependency on the app stores. Love it
@@galaxies_dev yeahh 🤣 at the time i tried android studio and my laptop wasn't having it, good thing the ionic framework is really light with performance
I'm still not getting the real use case of ionic. Because for a cross platform single codebase project, why should choose ionic over a framework like react native?
I'm not sure the Ionic team even know what "Ionic" is? They need to be able to write a one sentence definition starting with "Ionic is..." and the problem over the past few years is that Ionic has gone into too many different directions. As you mention in your Capacitor 3 video upgrading from 2, to 3, to 4 etc has been a painful experience for those of us who started early with Ionic.
Why does this sound like someone offering "free food" and handing you a plate and a fork. I was excited until learning everything useful is trapped behind a paywall.
Hmm not sure what you mean, but I (and thousands of others) have built epic Ionic apps without paying anything to Ionic. Only enterprise customers usually need those products from the Ionic company.

Thanks for being such a loyal member of the Simonics community :)
Most helpful tutorial, ever. Thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks Simon this is a video that clarifies many things. I really appreciate the diagram you drew.
Happy to help Claudio :)
I really enjoy working with Ionic. I love angular systematic folder structure
It's very helpful ....😃
Thanks Iroshana!

Ja hat Spaß gemacht mit den Jungs im Podcast, und danke dir!
I'm new to ionic .. please can you advise which playlist to watch. I understand there are a few other playlists out there. I want to build an app
I'd recommend you check out my crash course: ionicacademy.com/ionic-crash-course/
@@galaxies_dev I have confirmed my subscription and still waiting for the crash course
Thanks body. Although your drawing is a bit gibberish but your your explanations are really awesome and enough enough.
Yeah definitely not my strongest skill :D
Good question...

Yes releasing them as PWAs makes it really easy and gets rid of the Appstore hassle!
Well, I must say I didn't expect a video in this format, it was very cool! Professor Simon did it again!
your drawings just amazing ;)))
Thank you so much 😀
After so many lectures .. Really Interesting Question. ☺️
Great video
ionic is awesome and fast. literally started app dev with ionic cuz i had potato pc back then
Haha yeah you don't need a high end PC for app dev :)
@@galaxies_dev yeahh 🤣 at the time i tried android studio and my laptop wasn't having it, good thing the ionic framework is really light with performance
Your handwriting is epic, sir. :D
Thank you kindly!

At this point, I probably wouldn't and would React Native instead.
Thanks.
I really appreciate your videos, Simon. Do you intent to talk about monorepo with Ionic someday?
all these tools, ..... i'm starting to reconsider fishing for living, not developing
Why the old intro?
I think this is my default Thursday video intro, isn't it?
Building apps can be as complicated as you want to make it.. I think you demonstrated that Ionic is the most over engineered approach.
I think they are aware of that and will put some work into making clear what it is and means in the future!
LOL. THANK YOU ANYWAY 🙏🌻
Someone said IONIC had been developed in next few years, Can anyone tell me they weren't right?
Wo warst du nur mein Leben lang Simon 😂😂😂
😎
Everything in ionic is so....round.
Why does this sound like someone offering "free food" and handing you a plate and a fork. I was excited until learning everything useful is trapped behind a paywall.

do paneli nie ma nic lepszego od Mansser Osmo
Sure... Ionic is great... Except when your performance is sluggish....and when you want to test on real device... Ionic sucks...
