Join me and @thepeakybiker on an epic journey as we conquer the UK's hardest road, Hardknott Pass on our motorcycles. This steep and winding road will test your riding skills and nerve, but the breath taking views are worth it!

That part when you are coming down the other side of Hardnott was perfection, slow motion, atmospheric music and that crossfade between cameras was epic. Thoroughly felt how euphoric it was ❤️🙌🏻

Nice one Mate. I've been riding bikes for over 50 years and, I do Hardknot and Wrynose on every bike I've owned, everything from a little Suzuki gt 125, to my present BMW R1250RS which is the easiest bike I've owned to do those two passes on👍. It's my opinion that if you can ride Hardnot both ways then, you can ride any tarmac road in Europe 😀🏍. Keep up the good work and, enjoy yourselve.

Fantastic gentlemen... a great achievement. Drinks at end, well deserved. I've got a one corner epic for you to try out.... up from Stirling the Wallace's monument, continue on till you see the sign on the left for Logie Kirk... take that road, pass the kirk on your right and continue on your way. I need to tell you..when you get there, get over to the right to give yourself a better go at this left hander. Well, at least you have a heads up....I didn't..... hee hee.

You've made a really great film here. Great edit. We've ridden many of those roads and I can remember calling by the Honister Pass slate mine for lunch on a hot sunny day. There's kind of a tragic story behind Honister slate mine. The guy who re- opened it, died when his helicopter crashed very near to where you were. Think his wife still runs the place.

What I've learned about hardknott pass is that anxiety can make you rush the process. Through rushing to finish it. You're actually taking more risk. Fight the urge to rush. Take it slow and smell the roses.

It was the gearing that let you down. You were in 3rd gear when 2nd gear could have been better. I couldn't ride that road in 3rd gear. 😂😂😂
Nicely done! I did all five passes in the same day back in May 23. There was a bit more traffic on Hardknott, but I managed to get a clear run at the worst bits. The camera does not give any idea of just how steep the slopes are. Going down, in the same direction as you, it felt like falling off a cliff almost. I didn't enjoy Hardknott much, the rest of the passes were amazing... but like you said "we've done it now".... and in my case, I don't think I need to challenge myself again on that pass thank you.

I did this ride about 5 years ago and found it to be both a challenge and fun. I was riding a 1200 bandit 1997 great fun . Thanks guys 👍👍👍👍

That took me on a trip down memory lane and back to about 1976. Five of us in a fully loaded Morris Marina packed to the hilt with camping gear, boot full, roof rack full, small trailer full. We got stuck on one of the switchbacks as you did. Clutch burnt out and we started slip sliding screaming back down the way we came. God only knows how Dad kept the trailer going in the right direction. We all lived. 😂

I've done Hardknott and Wrynose on my Blackbird a few times now. It looked like you were slipping the clutch and looking at your front wheel rather than looking where you wanted to go. Next time you ride it, it'll be a doddle.

Great road done it before. 👍🏼 Love to see your honesty and keep the bit in where you start to over think and stall. Loads of RUclipsrs would have cut that out to show them looking perfect all the time. 👍🏼👊

Interesting ride. Hats off for the courage. I didn't thumb this one up as I don't like swearing nowadays. The channel is getting better and better, and for anyone who sees blogging and vlogging as a potential business/side hustle - they might consider not swearing if possible. Tough love from me for the growth of this channel.
(It's a toss-up between being `authentic' which is extremely important, at the risk of putting some people off. Soften up a few words now and then maybe. It could invite a few more subs.)

If you think that road is difficult I don't think you should try Stelvio Pass.I couldn't honestly see the difficulty personally

I’m not sure if you have seen my picos vid part two I take my gsa on the trans European trail and did drop it. That was a knarley road. Prob is I overthink then it goes pear shaped. 2 of the best passes in England but like all the european twisties and mountain passes much better on a smaller lighter bike

Interesting place for your XT, must be much easier to work rather than stretching over though I'd be interested to know what you did with the wiring.
The wiring just goes under the fairing and to the battery buddy. I prefer it above the dash but need that space for my camera 👍🏻👍🏻

A grand day out mate, we did hardknot last year on the old cbf1000 but the other way and it was epic. Hope I can get back up there again this year on the GS.
