Since the the area where they lived is heavy rains most of the time, did they invent some sort of their own version of the umbrella? In middle east, asia, and europe, everyone had some sort of umbrellas either from the sun or to protect from water. I've never heard of Mayan umbrellas
I read somewhere that they used sap from the rubber tree with some other plants to make waterproofing for clothes. So no umbrellas, but maybe rain ponchos.
