As much as I like the interpretation of "a tortured Soul", the lyrics in The Soul electric seem to indicate that Soul, despite not being the main tormentor, still has blood on his hands.
After all, we seem to forget that Heart and Brain answer to him....

It makes sense, at least to me, that Soul would probably be the most prone to mania.
It feels very, relatable, in a way that's difficult to describe...

The purple one is called the Heart, the 'emotional side' of the Soul(The red one) that was split from them just like the blue one who is called the Mind(The logical part)! I'd recommend listening to the album the song is from if you wanna know more about them ^^ The album is called Chonny's Charming Chaos Compendium by Chonny Jash and it's pretty cool!

Surprised there’s not an MMMM reference, honestly-
i love the idea that the loop has happened so many times that Soul is just sick of the repetitiveness of Heart and Mind's constant bickering, so instead of being part of the trio, he becomes more villainous to add some spice to the loop (while of course still maintaining his role to some degree as the peacemaker between the two)
I was just laying down, and I was like, I need to check the mucka bluka animation again. And instead, I WAS FACED WITH THIS MASTERPIECE!

Soul’s design reminds me of ENA ( a character from a show called ENA by Joel g) and I love it so freaking much!
I don’t know if it’s intentional, but I love how souls right eye has the the little offshoot from it, which I think is meant to be eyelashes, but it mirrors how Heart only cries from their right eye too
On a rewatch I'm noticing all the clever details, like on the "you fall inside a hole" part where the background switches from blood vessels to a clock to red stormy clouds. And the black and white squares around 1:02 as reference to his music video effects. It's overflowing with passion and I can see all the effort and care you put in

this animation is just so dang on point with soul's song!! i especially love the beginning bit where soul is singing over mind and heart in the background, the little hunches they do as soul floats by adds so much depth to chonny jash's singing!! i also just love the grimly determined look soul gives them in the last shot, it really gets across how he didn't want it to come to this, but he will do what he has to do. i keep coming back to this!!
