Thanks for the Upload. Never saw or heard of this. But if it has Leslie Neilson and a young Linda Harrison I'm in. The dreamy late sixties/early seventies Letterman song is a bonus.

I love this theme song, shame the series was short lived. I'm a big fan of the Lettermen too.

That montage is just great! Thanks to some homemade DVD's I got online I am almost finished seeing all 41 episodes of "Bracken's World" - as some may know they started using this for the theme song for the partial (15 episodes) 1970 second season.

A shame Eleanor Parker, a great lady of filmdom, was underutilized forcing her to negotiate / request her "out" from the series. What grace and beauty she exhibited and personified.
As others have commented, the vocals and score are beautiful.
Watching the faces of each of the regulars really draws in the viewer IMO.
"Hats off" to sylvete323c for compiling this nostalgic clip that's a testament not only to the series, but its stars as well.
As filmed and acted, Peter Haskell's approach to and mannerisms towards Laraine Stevens are so hot, hot, hot. Her hair looks so shiny and smooth and soft.
. . . It appears Dennis Cole and Linda Harrison are having a lovely day at the beach (or, a backlot beach), and then he does something to significantly upset her. Words of advice: If a man has bathing-suit attired Linda Harrison's undivided attention DO NOT BLOW IT; if you do, you are the world's biggest fool.
. . . Steven Oliver might have rethought his sideburns.
For the trivia / behind-the-scenes minded, a few tidbits related to 20th Century Fox: here's Dennis Cole, fresh from the studio's "Felony Squad" series for ABC; the above mentioned Steven Oliver, familiar from ABC's juggernaut, "Peyton Place"; Linda Harrison, who prior to playing starlet Paulette Douglas, had completed her standout, luminous role in "The Planet of the Apes" that played the year prior (1968).
For my money, losing Eleanor Parker and Dennis Cole for the second season may have contributed to it being aborted mid-season.
As to the legitimate, genuine desire from so many of us for Blu-Ray / DVD launch of the "Bracken's World" series, now that Disney's bought 20th I'd say "forget it; not gonna happen."

A beautiful song and what a show. Should have been given a better chance. One of Jeanne Cooper's best roles before becoming our wonderful Katherine Chancellor.

Back in the years there were so "many worlds" to choose or explore...so many ways of life ... how could you feel that nowadays ?

pelegri henri ~ You expressed so well how I feel about that era. It was golden, the best, like a dream that came and went, and I wish to live it in a time loop for 50 years.

I watched it every Friday night, the concept was good, the theme lovely, but the acting was just mediocre and the show never quite took off. I get a kick from the 1969-1970 fashions and hairstyles.
