The reporter's comment that it is easy to get a gun in the USA is inaccurate. Only a person who can pass a background investigation and show that they are legible to obtain a gun can do so in the vast majority of gun acquisitions. In this particular case the shooter did not obtain the gun personally. The gun was obtained legally by his father. However the shooter had no unlawful activity on his known record so he could have obtained a gun if he met the age requirement in his state. As far as the Secret Service they are part of Home Land Security which is also in charge of enforcing immigration laws on the border of this country. I do hope they do a better job of protecting our national officials than they do with the border.

Well if SS can't see a buildiny in line of sight 120 yards away and triple check it, that is their responsibility, that building and and around the area should be marked well in advance. Then she said but but 1 officer per 1000 people. This can be true. But there were not 1000 roofs. There was one roof ill say it again in direct line of sight. I see two snipers one the adjacent roof to his, why was one of them not diverted there. That is down to the SS to say.....
This guy was given no help. He was simply one of many plans that are thwarted, that was not as it had a good chance of success with the right pieces on the board where they were. It can not be incompetence as that building was in direct line of sight, any building, even further out would be manned, or in line of sight of PD, or some other auxiliary to the SS. That was a very serious attempt, not a stunt. The fact that the SS did not see that building, the fact when the area was thoroughly reconnoitred it was not seen as a place of high risk, no can not be incompetence. Trump needs to get rid of the SS, and go private, he is being RFK'd. Stop the rallies.
