Cassie, this foundation was made for you! I've never seen a foundation look so good on you especially on and around your nose! Don't worry about transfer! It's not like you're going to be touching and rubbing your face everywhere! Their Double Wear foundation has been my holy grail literally for the past 22 years! I once tried Mac's Studio Fix foundation but nah! Can't compare! Recently I've found that it may be time to try something new because I'm older now and my lines seem more pronounced with the foundation. 😭 but I will DEFINITELY stick to Estee Lauder's line! I can sweat and cry all day long and their foundation will not streak nor fade! Lastly, whatever you're using on your skin, keep it up! It's looking sooo GOOD!
LOVE this foundation, worth the splurge! Always get compliments on my skin when I wear it, and I am very dry! I like to use a brush then sponge to save on product!
I love this foundation!! It’s my perfect summer shade but I have combo skin, it works very well. I understand your nostalgia, I also loved the EL double wear light, it was perfect all year round.
Hey Cassie, I think this foundation looks fantastic on you at the beginning and the end of the day. Maybe a setting spray would help with the transfer. Could you add something like that to the weekly wear test. Test these foundations with a setting spray too. Have a great week 🤘
I’m on my second bottle. My skin is dry in some parts with and oily T-zone. I do have to blot once or twice throughout the day just to remove some shine from certain parts of my face. I don’t mind because it looks good on the skin, and I can apply it quickly. The transfer is really bad. When I wear a mask, there’s a lot of transfer, but the foundation on my face doesn’t get disturbed if that makes sense. It still looks good, and there’re no lines or marks of the foundation that wiped away.
Right? I use the Double Wear and even though I can have a sweaty face, like when I spend a whole day at an amusement park on a very hot day, and the foundation does NOT streak, budge nor shift in any way shape or form! More than worth the $ for it!
I have both this one and Double Wear. I wear this one only in the summer when I'm in the sun because of the SPF. But, I find a LOT of transfer. And I hate that. So, I always go back to Double Wear. Hands down, Double Wear has never let me down and I always go back to it.
I have gone from dry skin to oily skin over the course of a year and I get breakouts now too- it's so bloody frustrating as all my light coverage, dewy foundations are pretty useless and I'm having to find new products. SO annoying! I hope that you, HD, Fig, G-man and Muti are doing well
Looks good after initial application. Maybe test it again using the Caliray primer and a good setting powder or spray. That might help with the transfer...
Hi Cassie! I liked how it looked on you to be honest...I can never everrrrr not powder over any foundation...I'm older but still quite oily. Which really has helped in terms of wrinkles...so that's something! I always laugh when a shade range of 28 colours is criticised ...back in the 70s we had THREE! Light..Medium...Dark.all of which were... beige lol. Its really wonderful having the choice we do these days...I don't take it for granted. I'm loving seeing your relationship with Dan growing...seriously..its just lovely. ...Lindy in Australia
Hi Cassie and Dan!! Happy Thanksgiving to you both and your families💞💞Love you all and Big hugs to your sweet Galileo and Figaro. Enjoy!! Always thankful for wonderful friends like you.
I believe the Double Wear line would be a better choice for you, from the EL company, than the Hydra Rescue. Radiant, glowing, probably not the best for your skin type. Looks great, but the wearability not very good for an oilier skin. I hope you can pass this down to your mom, and not waste $$!
It looks good on you!! Do you wear setting powder? I think if you use that it will get less shiny and stays put longer. Do you know how it compares to the double wear? I’m a big fan of the double wear! Also, you rock blue (first shirt!) and love the matching nails 💅🏻
I wore double wear for many years. Switched to Double Wear light but that got discontinued. I'm 50 soon and need something less heavy than double wear so am currently using the one in this video. It feels MUCH lighter on the skin than double wear (DW feels like a heavy mask by comparison). It is much more hydrating than DW (DW tends to feel rather dry). The coverage is finer/less than DW and it comes off more easily...it got a bit patchy where I had a nap. It's very shiny though and setting spray didn't really help. I might try powder when it arrives
It looks so much better on you than it looked on my face! 😄 I have combo skin and it didn’t look nice on the dry patches🥺 the foundation overall was too “heavy” for me as I was expecting something lighter for the summer time
It does look so nice on you after initial application!! You don’t mention but I’m assuming you powdered but it still didn’t help with the transfer issue? Maybe reserve it for a shorter event? I feel like I tried a sample of this when it was released but also didn’t care for it enough to purchase. Love your reviews, Cassie!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Dan!!
I am almost 50 and this was a decent formula but the heavy fragrance that is in ALL their foundations always burns my eyes and so I cannot wear any of Estée Lauder's foundations. Was hoping this one didn't have such a fragrance but it didn't so had to return unfortunately.
You’re lucky your mum got you into high end make up. Mine used Maybelline so I was so loyal to that as a teen until I ventured out into other brands (as shockingly what suited mum didn’t suit me 😂)
In agreement with you regarding the Caliray primer. Last week's wear test (I believe it was that video) she asked for suggestions so I tossed that one out. I had just seen a review and Cassie came to mind. Really hope she reviews it. It might just be what she's looking for... 🤷♀️
@@tammiemartinez6485 yes, it is a bit pricy in my neck of the woods but worth it if the reviews are good. I am very oily with pores that could have mack trucks drive through them lol
@@samm6114 Yes, pretty pricey but like you said. Worth it if it works. I think you may have replied to my request in that last video because someone who did said the exact thing as you, lol. My pores aren't that bad and I have more of an combo skin type (oily T zone) so I can use something else but I'd really like to see her review it for herself and for those subs who deal with the same. That's why I put in that request. I really do think it could be beneficial for her and her subs...
@@tammiemartinez6485 yes, I think we may have "spoke" before lol too funny. Hey, That is cool. The world needs more friends. I do love make up videos even if I don't wear a lot. @@cutehollygolightly I still have no idea what foundation I want 😅 For me, it’s kinda hard justifying buying a $50 foundation when I rarely wear makeup anymore but the L’Oréal is soooo hard to figure out my shade ugh
I'm a mixer and mix this with the double wear for the best of both worlds 🥰 The double wear light is also one I mix it with. Thanks to RUclips, I have a 4 racks of foundation so I tend to mix alot 😅

one of my favooooorites!!! I use this one in colder months and the square packaged one when it’s super hot !!! Estée Lauder just nails it

I don't like Este Lauder, but, in the 90s they had a face powder that had good coverage, and btw, looks great on you Cassie 🙂

Ive already tried this one. Its fine but needs to be set really well with powder because it lifts with sweat.

This is my favorite foundation. LOVE it
Best review , love your honesty, you've saved me a fortune 😊
You got me hooked on the soft matte foundation but now I’m not sure they make it anymore :/ this one is a little too dewy for my liking

Whatever mascara you were using is a NO as well. It transfered off your bottom lashes every day.
Such a good honest review. Thank you 🎉❤

Thanks for trying . They still test on animals so it’s a definite no from me.
