Talented young Ladies having some fun #Slipknot!
On 03/20/20 *BAND-MAID* was booked to be the opening act at *KNOTFEST* but due to COVID-19 the event was canceled but *BAND-MAID* had a free streaming concert for their fans and started the show with *Duality (Slipknot Cover)* before performing their concert below is the setlist of this concert.

Band Maid was supposed to play Knotfest March of last year, but Covid, so they did a live RUclips broadcast using an iPhone , they opened with this cover. It was awesome to watch the whole show.
I'd love to see Slipknot open for Band-Maid.
Slipknot are nice guys. And they even have their masks for psycho social distancing :)
Lovebites opening for Band Maid then for an closing have Miyako and Midori join Kanami for a jam session with MISA and Akane pounding out the rhythm section. EPIC

Duality: Four ladies rocking hard and having a blast. // Different: 5 ladies rockig even harder and having a blast! ( MISA's bass is visceral.) You gotta love how five young ladies can share their talent, message and love around the world.
"Different" is the theme song of the anime "Log Horizon 3rd Season" currently being broadcast in Japan. The lyrics are based on that worldview. One day, tens of thousands of people are trapped in the world while playing an internet game. There are monsters and indigenous people in the world. It is a story of fighting for happiness, aiming for peace and order in the world and coexistence with indigenous people. Trapped gamers will be resurrected when they die, and they will not die, but each time they die they will lose some memory. The story is in progress. BAND MAID This is the first anime theme song.
Slipknot then Different! Yeah, baby! Different is the opening for the third season of Log Horizon, btw! Miku used a lot of themes from the anime for the lyrics, very cool, Po!
It’s easy to get lost in the musical talent of this band. But they do have very meaningful and poetic lyrics. And they tend to spin things a positive direction even though the songs may be about bad things. Off the top of my head, I think there is only one song that they keep in a darker more somber place and that’s The Dragon Cries. There are a lot of bands out there ... popular bands ... that wish they could write songs like Bandmaid can. The scary thing is that Bandmaid is only getting better and better and have not even hit their ceiling yet. 🤟🏻
I don't know if they even have a ceiling. They just keep growing, becoming more powerful in their music-magic, the mages of J-Rock...
Different is a masterpiece. They wrote an anime song that stands alone as a rock single. They know part of their fan base is a niche crowd who listens to metal and loves anime. I am guilty of this.

While Band-Maid is the reigning Rock Queen of Japan (ofcourse imo), Nemophila a recently formed supergroup of veterans, handsdown takes the crown for Metal. You’ve got to check out their latest release “Dissension” official MV
They’re 🔥 I’m sure you’ll like them, just come prepared coz they really bring the heat.

Nemophila was excellent from the first, and just gets better as they work together.
And they have so much fun with metal! Few bands have that consistently delightful quality I get from Band-Maid, but Nemophila is right up there.

This was just them screwing around, theres some really fun sound checks of them covering other bands too.
Nobody is standing in your shoes and everybody is experiencing emotions, scars, hapiness and situations in a different way. If these people are important to you or show empathy towards you, they are in an bad mood or state of mind, it´s important! If they are just random people, people who are trying to command or telling you what´s wrong or not, just ignore it and move on!
Band-Maid is also transporting this message a lot: Don´t care what other people say, do it your own way, be yourself, paint your own picture etc., that´s why i love them so much!
This song was for an anime and it´s about videogames in this series, so they describe the "respawn" after you died and you´ve got a second chance so to speak...

What makes a Band GREAT is that they have a-lot of respect, knowledge and influence of many other good famous bands, I'm sure we know lol.
Hey Jen, another great review. What else should I expect from you? "Different" is one of my favorite Band-Maid songs because of their message and all the change ups - and as usual - they Rock!
Different: Imagine heros/heroines and beasts/monsters good and bad running and flying and fighting.
That is the Log Horizon anime this frenetic pace and intense kind of commitment is describing.
One of the characters in this season is obviously based on Miku - appearance, outfit, everything. She seems terribly helpless and vulnerable... until dangerous bad things approach and then suddenly they are just fucking dead.
Band-Maid put a lot into this new theme song, and the show's writers obviously appreciate them.

Speaking of empathy vs apathy from a philosophical standpoint and how you will not let someone get you to the apathy level again, there is an ancient philosophy called Stoicism that has helped me not be affected by things I don't have control over. I reccomend that you look into it, it may help you.

Yep. The very first flying V that Zemaitis produced. I understand they asked if she would be interested in one, she said yes, and it was built for her in their custom shop before seeing full production. She debuted the Zemaitis, built for her, before her signature "Flappy Pigeon" model came out.
The first use was actually from the Shibuya Line Cube Concert on Feb 14, 2020 (which was released as DVD/Blu-Ray). This is the MFGV22 (usually A or CS models are Japan made) NAMM 2020 version and she was the first one in Japan to use it.
After the concert they announced that the guitar is now on sale and there was a photo of Miku using it that night.

WOW!! "Different" certainly struck a chord with you. As the song say's "unlock your potential".... That resonates for me.
That was raw (Your reaction)... I was uncomfortable... yet I could not look away..lol. I've subbed now, but I'm a Band-Maid follower on YT., so you'll probably only see me comment on your Band-Maid reactions.
As for your "Fake" comments. I totally 100% agree. It seems like you have been through some "shit" in your life (as have A LOT of other people, myself included), but for me, Music always gets me through. I hope it helps you as well. Keep on trucking......
OOoooOoh even being a low-fi concert, I really loved the rawness from where this cover came from... If I remember correctly they started off with this and there where some problems with Saiki's microphone in the first song... but it was really great to watch it... before all those streaming platforms starting to pop out... I got to watch it again one of these days..
As for "Different" is what it is, a awesome song... mosh-pit material! "Move your ass and live, if you want something, go get it..." ... Miku knows what's she talking about.
