Another tip. When you teleporting to the base to heal, no need to wait until your hp fully restored, just click the recall button when your hp already at 70%+, the animation of recall also takes time, that's can cut the time for coming back and help the team fight
This guide comes at a good time. The day before yesterday i bought hoopa's license and i was playing it for a while, i had used it a couple of times before, i must say hoopa is very different from the other supports in the game, it is as if you have a greater responsibility compared to other mons of the same role. Your guide has helped me understand and give me an idea of more or less what i should do and what i should be aware of during the game. hoopa is a mon difficult to play, though it's potential is bigger than that of the more traditional healers, and i quite like it.
Cursed incense does effect Hoopa, just less than other healers. Goal zone and home heals are effects by cursed incense, so you technically have to sit there longer
Hoopa is my favorite supporter but I've been avoiding to play them since it's definitely requires more game knowledge than the other supporters. So I'm very happy to see this video from you, thank you
Hoopa is only ever good if your teammates know how to work with him, I sometimes have to forcefully make teammates take the portals so they realize their purpose. Some people never take the lane switching portals and prefer to walk all the way to bot or top lane. In short, I get white hair when I play him sometimes.
Also a tip I find very useful and fun is to place a sheddinja doll right as you place your portal, by the time the cooldown is over you'll be teleported home. It's very useful in sticky situations or when scoring
I think it's cus ppl in solo q womt think their teammate would be smart enough to put portal in a good place. So if u play hoopa u gotta have 110% alert all the time
Let me finish that title for you “-Unless your teammates are playing Hoopa as 70% of the time, they have no idea how most of his moves work on a more technical level”
Hoopa is one of the harders, or even the harder character to play with, because of the gameplay, but majoritarian because of the teammate unable to understand that Portal=Heal@@serpentine8229
Thank you for making this video. I have never seen a good random hoopa player. They will 100% use their ult at 2:30. Never use portals for the healing. Never use their portals to help rotation. When I see one, I automatically assume that this will be a 4v5.
it is affected by curse incense, the healing in base is considerably reduced , it brings hoopa back to the time when heals were being put into effect after a while of being in the base ...
your healing numbers won't suffer but in stacks you will find yourself spamming portals over and over because in a sense your healing isn't as fight resetting as it should be, I don't disagree with you on the entire point bu you said hoopa is unaffected.. it atucally is affected and healing is brely half of what a hoopa does, going against a hoopa is annoying becuase it does way more.hoopa is probz the 3rd best support right now behind blissey and comfey but mewtwo y has cursed every thing inside of the game, just waiting on a nerf that will probably hit it in a month or so. @@UniteClimbing
As much as I love muscle band, I find that cooldown items on Hoopa are a far better use alongside exp share. I pair Exp Share with Energy Amp and Shell Bell along with max cooldown emblems and max special attack emblems and the cooldown is lowered tremendously. Im able to create many more hyperspace holes to save the team and more Unites throughout with Amp. I sacrifice doing significant damage myself for my rescue/portal moves to be used far more often, which is basically what Hoopa is good for anyway.
Thanks for the guide G. I have been looking at different pokemon and trying to learn about them so I don't become a one trick pony only using Charizard. My future videos thank you.
Am I the only person who likes playing trick/SB? Portal is obviously better and a more traditional support, but if you have clueless teammates, you feel useless. If you’re paired with an all rounder, you just melt people with rapid fire scarf. And the stuns and heals from shadow ball are nice too. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve had a lot more success with trick in solo q.
Amazing guide, thank you! What are some other scenarios you can use Hoopa unite in at the end of the game if you're team is already gathered at the central area? Should you still just keep it to maybe help teammates who are respawning / use the stuns? Or do you ever do anything like sending teammates off to backcap and then take the portal back?
@@UniteClimbing Yeah, builds and techniques. Mindset as this supporter. Move combos and early/late game mindsets. I played hoopa on a free trial week and knocked out it's achievements. I haven't played it since
Please could you make one of these for zacian. I know many people dont like using him but I've always found his game play fun. I feel as if im not using him to his full potential.
I just use the portal to help my teammates hide mid fight so then while the enemy is low my teammates are full hp and then I use phantom force for a surprise attack
And the reason is, Blissey needs a solid team play. Machamp can go hard solo. He can steal any objective easily too. He is all around a better solo Q choice.
7:07 I wish I had teammates that would actually take the portal and all go to bottom lane to stop them from scoring. 8:39 I would start screaming if that mewto never took the berrie
Amazing tips but heres the thing TEAMMATES KEEP THINKING HOOPA IS A ATTACKER LIKE HELP I CANT KILL A WHOLE TEAM ON MY OWN (these are my teamates to say the least)
my friend likes to use that build to save my ass when i'm playing gardie and the movement speed buff with shields is so nice when you're a squishy with no mobility
Another tip.

Great tip
Another tip, if you hold the camera and move it slightly just before taking the portal, u can still have vision entire time u are in the home base.
Oh truly? I'll have to test this I've never heard of that. Thanks

Nice! I hope it's helpful. Super complex character so stick at it!!

100% agree

Yeah this will happen. But as the game ages, people will become smarter (especially with more Hoopa use)

@skyracerz5074 no, you can put it in good places and I can watch them walk right around it, not even any enemies nearby we hoopa players all seen it
As a Hoopa main, I ALWAYS forget to steal the berries until the first goal zones are already destroyed 😅😅
It has slipped my mind so mamy times
isn`t so hard forget this little button....
I am so glad I'm not the only one. Takes some getting used to even when you main them

“-Unless your teammates are playing Hoopa as 70% of the time, they have no idea how most of his moves work on a more technical level”
This is true, and I will add that the more it is played, the more people will understand 👍
@@UniteClimbing I hope so. Because every time I get a Hoopa on my team, I subconsciously think
“Does he actually know how to play the character?”

Inder hoopa is nuts sometimes unkillable
I am solo q hoopa player with 70 win rate and stop playing it . Again start playing but losing continuous so wait for this to find my mistake
Great tips I was mind blown
Most important tip, play with teammates who know how hyperspace hole works

Trick is a very underrated move. But portal is too good. I use trick in a planned duo sometimes
7:07 got into the portal in pattern and got to the super jump in pattern jump in bottom in a pattern? Extremely Satisfied 😌

I am using trick and phatom force in solo queue works decent against mewtwo i can phatom force Mewtwo and push it back
Trick and phantom force is cool with the healing but the portals will always be best to practise
