In Prague I was able to test the latest version of the Somnium VR1 headset. In the video I share with you the latest changes and my conclusion. @voodoodevr-en Hello, having used the BSB and now the VR1, do you feel more immersed in the BSB because of its Oled colors? which headset felt more immersive to you of the 2? thanks!
@voodoodevr-en, thank you so much for taking the time during your vacation to checkout the VR1. I've been following the VR1 development from day one and I plan to purchase the fully loaded model. I truly. appreciate your honest opinion about the VR1 and I look forward to more feedback from you on the VR1. Enjoy your vacation.
Hey. Great video. It was really nice of you to use your personal time to test this out and give us your feedback. I'm glad to see that Arthur was able to arrange time for you coming there on a short notice. It's amazing to hear that Somnium's team improved VR1 so much. I hope the production ramps up smoothly and quickly and we'll see VR1 in our hands as soon as possible.
Nice feedback! Did you notice any difference in comfort between the standard unit (with ET) and the full version (including HT/MR) regarding the extra weight of the full version?
When will this actually be available? According to the only timeline I can find, it should be already but obviously, it is not. I've decided that this is likely my next headset to move up from the Varjo Aero, but just can't find much information.
@@RigidAudio Had the same thought. Then I realized he's got the back ridiculously low on his head. So low in fact that the pads don't sit right on him. The strap mounting points look to be identical to what's on my index and my bd770s fit just fine with that so... fingers crossed?
There is on big elepfant in the room... Great visuals or not, this cant be comfortable very long periods. I would really like to see more lighter headset like bsb.
@voodoodevr-en Thank you for the update. I've been watching this headset since Steve (VR Flight Sim Guy) claimed the visuals (sharpness/clarity) exceeded even the Pimax Crystal and posted that through the lense video. Was that your experience as well or did it look roughly the same? Since you tried a version with only eye tracking, I'm curious to know how that compared to the fully equipped transparent one in terms of how it felt on your head and moving it around with how far it sticks out from your face. How does the inertia of the two versions compare to the Crystal with all its bulk? Good to hear the comfort improved over the Crystal. Looking forward to seeing the final version get reviewed.
Just watched the crystal light review and it weighs over 100g more than the base model of the VR1...and people were saying this was a fat headset. Pimax marketing at it again
The headset is 6 month late to be finalized. Even 3 weeks ago they said the would open orders in 3 weeks, which didn't happen. These ppl at somnium are liars and will never release the headset. I ordered a Crystal light.
Hm, I'm still waiting for Pimax 12K... 2 years already? So you ordered Pimax and are talking about 6 month late or 3 weeks. Quite funny to read. Btw I have a Pimax 8KX and a Quest 3. So I know Pimax and just tired it's shitty software and lies about the fov in the crystal.
who cares if they are late if that means the headset has less problems? if you bought a crystal light, you are not a potential customer for that headset so you are just trying to do purchase validation for your HMD.
@@vyacheslav_potapenko If you guys do not understand what blockchain is, and how digital ownership works, does not mean that it is something bad. Looks pretty good. Thanks Thomas.

not really

In VOODOO DE, the sound of laughter represents the quality of the product.
That's awesome I can't Wait
Plus I love BeatSaber and I looks great!
Seems the side straps without integrated audio force you to use in ear buds, not over the ear headphones 😢
The CEO has been using it with over-ear headphones no problem. He has posted plenty of picture of it working.
oh... :/ yeah. my plan was to use my beloved beyerdynamic studio headphones. hmmm... let's see.

Pimax marketing at it again
That's because the strap on this is insufficient and it has no speakers. Add a proper strap and speakers then weigh it again.
3:45 be carefull on your nose right side is in danger :)
Almost 2K Euros ...yikes!
Without tax
This thing seems to be more bulky than the Crystal Pimax . No way better can wear this than 30min!
Yeah, after using my Quest 3 on wireless I just won't be able to return to a wired headset... like ever again.

It was supposed to be delivered in Q4 2022, so it's a lot more than 6 months late.
I wouldn't trust anything from the company that was selling virtual land
how it related with the fact that VR1 headset created by leading F16 simulator creator?
