Norby's trot, as you described it, is the epitome of a pro, to me. Good vibes from this guy.

You guys are obviously entitled to your opinion but this sounds like some out-of-touch nonsense if you ask me.
Home run tests and bat flips and K-struts etc are not only normal now but encouraged because they fire up fans and are great on social media which helps spread the game's popularity.
To each their own but imo you guys are on the wrong side of the argument and much of the baseball world agrees. It's ok to be passionate on the field.
I can't believe we're still having this convo in 2024

@@aaronchapman3 It's true, there's a difference of opinion. I'm old and we never countenanced that. I only pitched through college, so I'm no expert on modern MLB sensibilities. A guy hitting a homer to win a game - ok. Hitting a meaningless shot with your team down 5-1 in the 8th? No. Examples. It's subjective, sure, and so is the medicine a player used to get for disrespect. It's different now, largely because sensibilities have changed, but also because pitchers are wimps. Our guys let players like Bellinger hang over the plate, wearing all their armor. Give me Pedro or Gibby or Nolan, who took their territory. But, that's the mark of champions. Luckily, in their place, we have so much better stuff like dancing .245 hitters, lots of jewelry, neat dugout props, and cool stats! 🎉🎉🎉

@@thomasjoseph3488I guess it's just a matter of opinion but youth always wins out in the long run 🤷 it's inevitable.

@@aaronchapman3 That's for sure. If baseball has much of a youth following coming up behind. You know the average fan age is troubling.

Shaun's right imo... Conine's promotion is more of a legacy move than a roster decision but I'm still gonna enjoy it while it lasts. I doubt there's any chance he's on the roster next year though.

As a latecomer to Marlins fandom, I don't have the emotional connection to Griffin. Still, I love underdog success stories and hope he bursts on the scene, forcing the Marlins into tough decisions.

Some of y'all may be over-hyping Norby already. It has been a nice week though, I'll give you that.
He feels forced into the lineup though as a third baseman and leadoff hitter.
Shaun's point about Norby's OBP is eye-opening, and not in a good way.

Peter the Marlins need to win. The owner needs to invest to the product on the field. Petet said the owner hasn’t told him no about anything. Spend the money. Show us. Don’t just talk

Matter of fact I liked Jazz' eurostep and flash.
