I never knew that this "world" of miniature steam and diesel locomotives existed to the extent it does. This is so cool. I bet it is great fun to have these small trains and get to run them on their own tracks and at these meets.
If something exists, there's a hobby surrounding it... people have been building these things as long as the real ones have been around, there are many live steam models (not necessarily trains) in existence that are well on their way to approaching 200 years old
Frank, that was great to see you fire up your 765. You guys and gals did a great job that beautiful Thursday , end of September. Thanks for putting it all together. Good luck with your engine, so you’ll have all winter to detail it all up. Dave
I hope there is longer footage of this meet coming in the future. I've hear Brian's pacific with a few cars, but not all 11! That would have to be quite the sound!
How’s the progress on the 844 coming along? When it is finished you should send a picture of it to the union pacific steam team to see what they think of it? it would be cool to see your model along side the real 844!
The pilot truck was just completed and I got the last footage of it this week. I will start working on the script for that when I return from the Eagle Point Long Train Meet in Tennessee on Sunday.
Everything in this scale is a kit or scratch built unless you are able to cut very big checks for RTR equipment. A car kit may cost $400-$900…a RTR car may cost $2,000-$3,000 each.
@@TheSteamChannel WOW but they are awesome 👌👏😎 though, would love to go to those but are they in the US 🇺🇸, unfortunately 😕 can't cross the border at this time, legal matter, but I would really injoy myself at one of these shows, thankyou for the information about the trains.
You can't buy them pre-built unless you get a machine shop to do it for you, and as was previously stated, that will cost well over $100,000... you could build it yourself for way cheaper if you know a live steam club with machining tools

Berkshires are among some of the most aesthetically pleasing steam locomotives ever.
:)
Thanks for sharing!!! Great video as always, the railroad looks even nicer than the pictures.
Soo happy to see some one Built a 765 Berkshire!! She’s my Favorite Steam Locomotive of all time!!

Probably one of the coolest things about a live steam railroad group is some of them are next to an active railroad track
Nice upload today .Enjoyed it thanks for sharing it.
Thank you very much for replying to my comment. I have a new video out now. Hope you like and share.
Fabulous…

Wonderful video :)
It'll be cool to see a video 765 meets the mini me 765.
Awesome 👍👍👍👍
A “Berkshire” reunion.
Featuring half of an operating berk.

Yes, there is another video from the meet. I got him going up the grade in back with all 11.

Hi
I enjoyed it
Is there a live steam shay locomotive?
Allen models sells a kit for one
Yes there is
Anyone gonna explain that 765's tender was B&M tender?
How would I go about selling my almost finished 1.6”?
Tell me I am interested
Squidward is the narrator
How do the Berkshire locos compare to the Mountain and Northern classes?
Google search bud...
not quite that simple... also yeah, google exists
@@jamesm6638 that's the main reason for my first reply I didn't want to type a wall of text.....
Can they buy these trains 🚆 or do they come in a kit?

Now I'm not an engineer, but that berk sounds way out of wack. Might need some valve adjustment,
I know diesel replace the steam locomotives 🚂, but steam had a heart beat, diesel doesn't, RIP steam locomotives, you are sadly 😢😞 missed.
hi i want to buy a daylight 4449 pre built locomotive where can i get it?
Talk to Jesse Banning of Little engines/Banning locomotive works, he's doing one already so doing another would be simple enough
You need find a higher paying job since those locomotives are expensive
The first question to be asked is: can you afford to cut a check for $100,000.

I was wondering how much one of these locos cost. Wow!
Technically it's not 765 because the tender is wrong.
765 would be 765 even if it had big boy’s tender behind it…
@@TheSteamChannel fair.
You buy those mini trains from a company or they are hand made?
you can build it yourself or get a machine shop to build it for you
Self made , the company will never make such beauty compant ,they are commercial
