Take the gas line off of the carb. Point it into a jar. Turn the key and gas should be spurting out of the line like when a heart pumps blood out of an artery.
@@danielpierce4460 It did but I also generally went through everything else while I was at it but the old fuel pump was not pumping fuel. The new pump got her going.
If have an extra tank laying around , could go ahead and gravity feed the carb to see if it is good or needs cleaned
