Hello my dark lovelies! Hereโs another really dark composition called โRed Deathโ created as a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe and his beautiful and haunting The Masque of the Red Death.
Helplessness in the face of inevitable is a tough pill to swallow. Your mind is trapped as a bird in a cage, trying to escape the prison of suffocating thoughts. What happens to bravery when you know that your unescapable friend is coming?The moment is approaching when all your sins will be washed off by blood, and no amount of last minute piety will save you from the Red Reaper.

And I personally think that Prospero was very greedy for living but there was no point on holding his palace because Red Death already made its way to him.
His biggest mistake was to announce the Ball.
I can imagine the scene where masked man dressed ghoulishly arrived.
At last, "Darkness and Decay and the Red Death" made its way to him.

Never heard about it but it seems wonderful from the way you describe it...

I have read everything Poe has written. I simply love him. My personal favorite is the Fall of the house of Usher.
I believe I would spare the revelers in Prospero's Castle. But the Red Death spares no one. You see he, along with his followers, Darkness and Decay, hold illimitable dominion over all.
By the way I love the piece you have composed. It creates the atmosphere of agony when the clock strikes and all dancing and music stops, up to the moment when they are all dead and the castle is deserted. Only the wind whistles in that hollow shell now.

This melody must be one of top favourites, it's so deep, and multilayered. It feels like it crawls under your skin and devourers you from within, like some hellish flame. And I agree, Edgar Poe is fantastic!

This is the melody of dark and beautiful serenity. The calm and dark sounds of this Gothic piano are very good. Even better this skull with a red cloak. I'm loving the soundtracks on this channel, I usually listen while I read books.

I prefer the animated version, the face of the Red Death is almost calming... until the eyes light up๐ So gorgeously moody. My favorite Poe story is William Wilson, but Red Death has some of his best imagery IMO.
