- Going Engineer on 2fort is seen as one of the most boring and stalemate-y things you can do in TF2. Let's see if we can change that by putting our sentries in spots that no one should be putting a sentry in.

In my experience, yes. Yes it does.
As an XBox 360 player, I can confirm that these sentry spots are the current meta in 2Fort.
Sniblet same, but I use the console version for practice and/or confidence boost.
The orange box on console is perfect for if you’re wanting v.1 of tf2 without all the updates and is practically the base game on release. I can confirm this because that was the only way i could ever play tf2 because i don’t have the money for a high grade gaming pc.
Confirmed it also works on the wii

Ze new meta: The Shark pit.
You have one pyroshark in the waters of 2fort, and a degreaser pyro on the land above. When players come near, the degreaser pyro shoves the player into the pit. Then, the player has to fight the shark. If they win, they get to go free. If they lose, they die.
Captain Obvious stock pyro is better, more airblasts
or use Backburner for more force.

I have, it's bloody hilarious, although the most INTERESTING part is definitely the ninjaneering it takes to get you TP exit there, so you can bring your sentry through... And I also like to bring my team through that teleporter, so we can steal their Intel from right under their nose, take them by surprise, and cap the Intel XD

Because your FOV was literally tunnel vision. Hope you get that sorted out, have similar problems with settings not saving or resetting on me too. Except, it's not with the FOV slider but the actual graphic settings.

It's because people expect the sentries to be there.
You put them in stupid spots, and people walk into them without realizing.
You put them in expected places, and the enemy knows it'll be there so they build up ubers, bring demomen, etc.

I put a sentry in a really bad spot on harvest and killed like 5 scouts with it
The one place I had most success with engineer was standing completely still next to a dispenser and a MINI SENTRY, NOT A LVL 2 OR 3, on battlements in a random corner, and I got like 10 kills from the same two guys who were trying to kill the 3 snipers and the medic also on the battlements. Oh yeah and placing any sentry in the middle of the water is really good, but again mini sentries work better because they're harder to see and are expendable, but you guys all already know that.
TF2 is dumb. This is why. Dumb + dumb = dumber

When you were on fire and talking about how you were dead, I expected a random pyro with the ghost head and fireman's hat (I forget the names of the cosmetics) to come from out of nowhere and extinguish you.

Whole red spawn was surrounded by blu sentrys.
We won because they placed the sentrys on useless but yet annoying spots.
They also had a good sniper i took down as beggers bazooka soldier. The sniper started to rage and went soldier without succes and he left.

I"ve put sentries in half these places and rarely does anyone notice them. I Feel stupid from their stupidity now ;-;
OUt of curiousity why should we not put sentries in some of these spots? ANd where would you suggest instead...
The spot overlooking the courtyard, by the door near the spawn, of either base is one of the better spots to place a sentry as it's covering three or so areas where the other team HAVE to go through. Other than that, anywhere else is just covering one area... or is right next to the objective where it's going to get boring very quick.
Although, placing sentries in other areas is a good idea if one or two sentries are already in that first area I mentioned. Multiple sentries in the same exact spot don't do much good as they'll all likely get killed in a single Uber push and it's better to cover other areas another sentry doesn't have covered already.

The first spot you put the sentry out side of spawn is one of the most meda spots for a sentry it's so funn to watch someone try to run down straight and die before he even gets to the stairs ps love you videos

Something I enjoyed years ago, and now I'm trying to get back into TF2, was building level 3 sentry, dispenser, and teleporter on Harvest, what you then do is jump from the top tower and if you do it just right you can get a teleporter receiver there, this was back before I even knew how to sentry jump. Then, what you do is you just take your little pack of sentry and dispenser and set up a nice little base just behind the ridge of the roof. It didn't always work, but when it did man was it a glorious little nest.
