Brian is one of the strongest human being who ever lived. He touches the human limit in many ways. Biceps, triceps, grip, back, weight... but AW has some specifics he doesn't have. You can try to simulate those angles on the gym, but the better way to do it is practicing and time is against him.
@@GuzQuebec Strongman transfers over pretty well to arm wrestling though. When you really think about it there many strongman events that require you to be strong in similar positions to arm wrestling. I don’t think it will take as long as people think. One of his best events was stones for example which I would think would transfer over to the table pretty well. Many of the carries are putting your hands and wrists in similar position to arm wrestling as well. Obviously pressing would transfer over really well in press and he’s already got tons of back and side pressure I’m sure
@@GuzQuebec I don’t think most strongmen have cared to go Into arm wrestling. When you’re that strong all around it doesn’t make sense to go into a sport where you have to be strong in very specific movements. At that point you’re putting so much strength to waste. Now that arm wrestling is becoming more mainstream I bet we start to see it more and more often. In my opinion strength athletes likes Brian coming into the sport are going to set a much higher ceiling. I can only speak on my experience going from strongman to arm wrestling and holding my own right away with people who had been arm wrestling specific for years. Obviously much different at the highest level but there is a lot of carry over. Skill matters of course and he can work on that pretty quickly with the great trainers and mentors that are available to him. Even so skill can only do so much to stop raw force. Take Levan and Devon for example
Give it more time man. Don’t want to rush him. If he just chills out he can be top of the elite in a couple of years far less risk and foolishness. Don’t Francis Ngannou him
Derek didn't want Brian to do that to him here press him. So said 3 years lol And of course for now they are going to keep it low key when the camera is a rolling. When it comes to comments about Brian's true ability right now.
Of course, but look at Ermes vs Levan. Everything is important, but as soon as you stop someone, you need strength to hold. Something Devon didn't had for an example
The thing with brian is , when he sets his mind to something he almost makes it an absolute science to learn as much and correctly ss he can. If brian keeps going into the arm wrestling world, he will become a force that we might have never seen before ..
your right ... if brian pulls the oponents hand over the middle and the move into press feels natural to him I would let him train it. if brian has a secure press position with his weight and triceps strength Im not so sure there are many people out there who can hold on to that for longer than 5 seconds
I think he's strong ,but he needs to be careful pulling great heavyweight people at this moment. He needs to concentrate on techniques, or he could have some serious long-term injuries to contend with .like Devan and Michael Todd .he needs 1 on one coaching with 1 coach only if he wishes to be a contender. All this going from one person to another is not leaving room for his own style .god bless 💪 💪 💪 💪 💪 💪
These guys aint ever faced a well trained, 4 X WSM as well as one of the strongest men to walk the planet...hes gonna be breaking peoples arms off when he starts
Come on, i think brian has a shot agaisnt levan in a few years, but these commentors need to know this clip doesnt show us much in terms of brians power agaisnt derek. Alot of people say how practice pulls mean nothing, does this not apply here as well? Especially considering this is an experienced armwrestler here, (although, one that cant compete with the elites...) vs someone whos only a few months in. The goal is to motivate brian so he can eventually reach a point where he can beat levan. In practice pulls i dont even look at an armwrestlers face to guage their strength, we cant assume based on dereks face alone that he was going 100% as some people believe in these comments
Levans lower body is way under developed, actually his hip size is cartoonishly small. He's got soft chest and a lot of belly fat. Shaw meanwhile is muscular everywhere and 50lbs heavier with that weight being more muscle mass anyway. Not even comparable, shaw beats the breaks off him.
strongmen don't have strong biceps/brachialis coz they don't need them in strongmen events. so his backpressure won't be stronger. remember 'strongman' is a title not a description. of course they're strong but powerlifting is a better measure of strength not lifting planks for 25 metres
Good question, it’s so he doesn’t become a one trick pony and he has a good base to build off of, in my opinion this a good way to learn your style in arm wrestling. Remember Brian is still new he needs a good foundation of basic techniques in the different styles of arm wrestling.
The delusions of grandeur is crazy with y’all if you think brian can beat levan. Brian could train for years and STILL wouldn’t have a chance to beat levan.
@khabeesschool9919 Strong isn't completely the right word for arm wrestling. You have to have the skill for sure and raw strength is also valuable. What catches weight lifters out is tendon and ligament integrity. No point having 1000hp if the driveshaft is rated at 250hp. Weightlifting is using wrist straps on a bar. Strongman is picking up a huge irregular stone up to your chest and walking with it as far as you can go. It will take Brian couple years to gain the strength and skills to start chipping at the big boys.
shaw is progressing so fast
He is!
In overall body strength he has to be the strongest arm wrestler ever
Because he's not normal human💀💀🙏
His open arm style looks WAY better than Leonidas. Haha. Brian is the man!
Facts. He tries doing a open hook hold. Ridiculous!!!
Agreed
his bicep strength must be insane already
By the size, it can get even better

there were times when it looked like Derek was at or close to 100% and Brian looked kinda comfortable.
Yessss, exactly! Derek will be a good training partner for Brian's first match tho
few pulls in he said he only had a few more % to give, and you could see it on his face
Brian is gaining lots of lean muscle on his arms. They are more vascular than ever before.
He need to train with Ermes to get great at back pressure, ma frennn🇮🇹

veri stronge beck pressure, ma fren💪🏻👍🏻🇮🇹
If Brian adds a bigger and stronger bicep + back pressure. He might be top 1 here in USA in a COUPLE OF MONTHS🔥

Samuelsson?
Yes and Derek is the next big thing with so much potential
Can wait to see Brian stand next to Levon.
Levon Saginashratt?

shaw is the new larry now
seeing someone as big as Brian in that open arm position is so trippy esp since im mostly used to seeing Devon like that
Brian is going to be so fun to watch. Excited for the next arm wrestling star. He would be unbeatable like prime Breznk!
Brian is a bit bigger but they’re pretty close. Will be fun to see them pull each other one day
Levan has some competition
Brian needs that albow integrity to start pressing like Kamil.
A Konkreet Albow

is it possible for you and konkreete guy to stop posting titles that screams about nonsense?
Wonder what his grip will feel like to his opponents lol He has one of the strongest on the planet
Yess hahaa
Derek should have applied the straps there. Is MUCH different and open arm pull with and without straps
He needs more table time, going light and feeling how to move efficiently, oh and exploding hand would be sweet!
I done care what anyone says. Brian is going to be a destroyer.
All Brian needs to really work is just technique. He already has a developed wrist, forearm, tri/bi, shoulder, chest, and serrates🤷🏽♂️
Brian should train more with other pro Armwrestlers
Derek can't be Brian's first opponent, right?😂

Levan might be the strongest arm wrestler, but in every other aspect shaw is probably twice as strong as levan.
He won't be if he keeps training with his arm that open. It's so annoying no one is teaching him the very basics. Like being tight to your body.

Shaw just tooo tall for that table😂.
I had a lot of people telling me Brian needs YEARS of training and still won't be able to beat Levan. OMG they are delusional.
I really hope he makes it, but come on, they’re all easing him in. It’ll take years before he sniffs the top of the heap.
The only thing Brian doesnt have is grip strength. If he can train that up along with forearm strength then he could be a force
What are you talking about? He has more grip strength than Vitaly.
Why do you say that? He has one of the strongest grips in the world lol. He loves training it as well.
It's really not about grip strength. I just don't think he knows how to transition that well yet. He's not attacking Derek's fingers.
Nah, his problem is he just has too small of a frame.
