Facial hair? Wtf? Koreans have a high standard of beauty, they really take care of how they look & that's fine with me. I wish all men would take more time to look after their skin tbh. I have nothing against facial hair but I do against men having to adhere to looking manly to be manly. I'm a guy myself & have a daily routine for my skin, I eat healthily, face masks, toner, moisturiser, suntan lotion to protect my skin even in winter & I will say that apart from the odd pimple if I stray from healthy eating, that my skin is pretty clean & flawless. I think the problem lays with society's expectations of man & women which needs to change. There are pretty men out there that should totally welcome it instead of trying to "look manly" with facial hair & whatnot. I also have no problems with manly looking men at all as long as they're not toxic with it.
LOL so some BTS members do grow facial hair but they shave it off. Seeing as they’re IDOLS, they’re supposed to look spotless. There’s been times where they let it show but that’s when they’re not filming or doing photo shoots. Try not to start this make up topic. Lets not ignore the fact that every person artist or actor wear make up to some extent. KPOP just happens to emphasize on it because they’re supposed to look good but that doesn’t take away from their masculinity. ALSO South Korea is big on skin care, so they take care of their skin a lot.
Most Asian men usually shave their beards regularly, like every three days. Some men may keep a certain length of beard, but they may be considered to be engaged in physical labor jobs because the service industry or other white-collar jobs generally require men to shave their beards (while women may be required to wear makeup). (At least in China

As long as a man looks clean regardless if they have facial hair or not, i find a man sexy 🙂 But for south korea, most men (from what i observed) prefer to shave their facial hairs. And its good because they have more self awareness and take extra effort to care for their face and keep themselves clean. 😊
Pertaining to facial in the Korean standards... it's rare, they are not big on facial hair. Especially if you are a Kpop Idol. More than that, alot of Asian men tend to not be too hairy...

You guys should really check out Jimin's Set Me Free Pt 2 MV! I'm East Asian and I think culturally, we tend to find clean shaven men more attractive. You don't really see young men with beards that much. You might see it more in older male actors. As for the make up, it's part of the Asian idol culture. They all generally have at least some make up on for any MVs, performances, photo shoots, "official" public appearances, etc. As fans, we often see them without any makeup on from like pics on social media, live streams, or content in more relaxed settings.
There are Korean guys who do have facial hair but they take care of their skin with me being korean American trust me our skin aren't flawless we do get pimples like everyone else.
It's ridiculous to compare group that has achievements reaching even beyond music and doing so much, having so much songs (all members write, produce, compose) of all kind of genres and so on with others.. Especially with group that doesn't even do their music.. overhyped, streaming farms..
Clean shaven and hairless are part of the beauty standards in most of Asian country but ARMYs go nuts for the members unshaven facial hairs too so I think it's mostly personal taste... The guys do have facial hairs but most of the time they kept a clean shaven style from top to toe during their official activities and promotions. They even went as far as wearing masks and whatnot if they have stubbed chins or such... kekekeke... BTW, other idols sometimes opted for a bearded or mustached looks so there you have it...
Some of the members have grown out there mustaches and they don't shave when they're on vacations like V one of the members but for things like shows or content they have to shave for makeup also surprisingly everyone grows hair
True heard this too. Granted there are those in SKorea that look down on this but these people are basing their beauty standards on the West, in particular the US. And even in those cases they take care of their skin wayyyy more than in the West lol.
I don’t mind a bit of neatly groomed shorter facial hair, if it looks good on the man, but Jimin is perfect without it. If you have great skin, you might as well show it off. It is a K-pop industry norm to be completely fuzz-free, with some makeup when in front of cameras. I think genetically many Korean men may have less facial hair, so it makes sense. I personally don’t like a lot of facial hair, but on some men a little looks great.

Famous korean men usually shave. At least until a certain age. I think it´s part of the ´clean` appearance. Other korean men have facial hair like in any other country :)
South Koreans like clean face, no hair. Skin care for both male and female is must and is expected regular monthly visits to skin clinics. Along with nightly cleaning and masks before bed.😊

This is very much cultural thing. In general facial hair is seen as dirty and in some social circles… poor. Clean face and clean clothes (even when you don’t have a lot of means) it can open doors for you.
I love everything about PARK JIMIN 💜 Main dancer, lead vocalist, contemporary dance mayor, multiple awards winner, trending king worldwide, IT boy, owner of the #1 brand reputation, match and science ace, top class student, record breaker, LV frontman, black belt in taekwondo, 8 years of Kendo, king of K-pop, the only one Idol in the industry with the highest dancing award. He is a brilliant for real , i am so proud of him and all his achievements. 💜💜
My husband has had a beard ever since we have been married 45 years ago. In general, I do not think facial hair on Asians looks good. There are always exceptions.
it’s the beauty standard in Korea like idols/actors u barely see them with facial hair and when they do have it on they get hated on bc it’s seen as unclean also imo i don’t really like it when guys have facial hair idk why it’s just not that attractive to me 🚶♀️
The facial hair matter you mentioned: it's not about ARMY's taste whattttt It's korean standards, korean beauty standards. Men should have a clean shave to appear more professional and such. ARMY's have no say. Personally, I would love for them to grow a beard, if they wanted to. But some of them have even gotten laser surgery in the past to get rid of facial hair. It's korean standards. And also I think the majority of koreans are naturally not as hairy as westerners in general. I believe most koreans can't grow a full beard, perhaps it's genetical, perhaps it's because they start from so young always doing a clean shave, idk tbh. Many western men anyway can't grow a full beard either, so yeah.

Reaction guide bts
I personally don't mind beards, my husband has one. I think the lack of facial hair is an Asian culture thing....but I'm not 100% sure
OBVIOUSLY BTS is heads and shoulders over BP! It’s ridiculous to even have to ask that question, LOL!!!
This is very much cultural thing. In general facial hair is seen as dirty and in some social circles… poor. Clean face and clean clothes (even when you don’t have a lot of means) it can open doors for you.
V grow his beard sometimes he’s also a member of bts and he actually posts selcas with his beard
If you haven’t seen any Asians with beards then you really haven’t seen many Asians 🥴
personally i like men without facial hair
Fazem de " set me free:
I don’t mind facial hair but in Korea it’s seen as “rugged” and that’s not the beauty standard there
its funny to me how y’all act like bts is just a group you can compare to anybody 😂😂
I hate facial hair. I hate body hair except for like hair hair. Everyone has preferences but i always hate body hair and facial hair. 😅
facial hair is considered dirty and un clean... a lot of guys grow it bur they just shave it cause of the stigma
There are always exceptions.
it’s the beauty standard in Korea like idols/actors u barely see them with facial hair and when they do have it on they get hated on bc it’s seen as unclean also imo i don’t really like it when guys have facial hair idk why it’s just not that attractive to me 🚶♀️
The facial hair matter you mentioned: it's not about ARMY's taste whattttt
It's korean standards, korean beauty standards.
99% of idols shave. They do grow hair, but don't keep it.
