Priscilla, congrats on getting to be a part of Harry's TV journey!!! I literally sighed in relief when I heard Jim say that you would be a part of it cause it means that someone who loves it as much (more tbh) as we do will keep an eye on things!!!
Thank you for the upload! It’s always a treat to see you have some new panel or Q&A for us!!! Now I get to go back through the books with Jim’s casting choices in mind. Murphy as Gabriela from Xena really caught me off guard. Thanks again and good luck with the new show! I am overjoyed to hear you are Jim’s voice on set. I can’t believe I get to say this, but “I’m rather excited and optimistic about the new Dresden Files series!”
I got so confused when Jim started to talk about levels in a LARP, then I realized that even though the cider was swedish, the LARP:ing did not have to be.
Thanks for posting the convention appearances Priscilla. I always enjoy them; even hearing the old stories retold. Is it fair game to ask yet if the TV series in development is another adaptation of old material or all new?
I'm not exactly sure what my NDA permits me to say, so I'm going to err on the side of caution and refrain from commenting altogether. Sorry! Though I suppose it wouldn't be inappropriate for me to say I'm excited about the team? :D
Okay, he addressed this question at ConnectiCon (see the video on my channel), and he responded: "Right now, the plan is that we'll be presenting more or less the same story, but in slightly different order, because the early books are much harder for them to set up. Because honestly they're not as well written, because I didn't know as much back then. So we'll be doing a parallel reality of Dresden rather than a remake of the books, which is going to let me do a lot of things to YOU GUYS. Specifically, I can mess with your expectations for the books and I can change them in the show, and that will be fun. And they're just going to have to be, "You're just messing with your readers again, aren't you?" "Yes." "This scene is going to cost us 125 thousand dollars, no!" That's the kind of conversation I expect to be having."
OH COOL. My D&D group meets every Tuesday, we play 5E. We have alternating DM's and Campaigns, so one week we do Out of the Abyss, the next week we do Lost Mines of Phandelver.
@@elikorn8777 - No he hasn't been published yet. Jim said he has written five novels and the latest is probably good enough to be published but hasn't yet. Goes on to predict that his next one will probably be the one that gets him there. So fingers crossed and all that!
