I am so grateful that Rosamund sent Sophie that letter and convinced her to take this role...Now everyone wants and needs more of Sophie's work... I'm an uber-fan...I'm consuming everything I can put my eyes on... She and Rosamund are just insane talents!!! I hope they have the chance to work on other projects together. Their chemistry is off the charts!!

@@amisedai942 I could guess what she said but also to my ears it sounded like there was an R in what she was saying... Almost like Sersei.

@@amisedai942 I prefer to just hear what the actors say, cos subs are sometimes so far off (not to mention all the times when a scene isfilmed with ertain lines, but then actors get different lines when doing cdr, and their lips totally don't match what they say (or, better yet, their lips are lealed, but the sound is coming nonetheless lol))
Love this, shows the connection of the two women really well. That part where Moiraine told Siuan "on your knees" (yasss to payback!) and there's this small scene where Moiraine was looking smug while she tells Nynaeve that "Siuan Sanche only waits for one woman and it's not you". Those two scenes had me grinning really wide. 🤩😍

Yes! That part where she says that to Siuan had me laughing too. I love her sarcasm and jokes. She’s such a powerful character. What a great actress. 💕
I loved the confidence in Moiraine's voice when she made that statement to Nynaeve. "Siuan Sanche only waits for one woman. And it's not you". Slay Queen.

Moiraine is indeed amazing (though now that I've read a couple chapters abt Siuan, I like her sooo much)
I adore her. I wasnt surprised at all when the scene with siuane came about. Moiraine has mystery and her layers are why I ador her so. She is solid and honestly one of the most genuine characters. I sudder to think what the amirliyn seat has planned for her- I wonder if the amiliyn seat will be replaced and the new seat is the betrayer and someone other then siuane. I can only hope their love holds- something sacred.

Stunning editing job. Well done! The chemistry of these two is delicious. It really humanizes the show. Great music choice too. Just wow.
You have to admire the contrast between the show they put on for others and the way they interact with each other when they are alone. They have everybody believing they are at loggerheads although Moiraine couldn't help herself when she modified the oath that exiled her as she doesn't know if and when she will see Siuan again. Had a lump on my throat at that scene.
Her oath wording was a bit confusing to me as I'd think she should have sworn it to the Seat rather than a person... other than that - yessss and yessss and omg yessss, the contrast is huge! I like how SIuan is at first still in her Seat mode and sort of scolds Moiraine for the performance she pushed them both into, but then we learn Moiraine is short of pretty much being to lead in their duo.
@@MariaPurtMe I think that's the whole point. She wanted to swear the oath to the person rather than The Seat. In effect showing where her loyalty lies.
@@Soulwarrior05 I mean, plotwise, what does that imply... and how did the Hall not object to it, sort of. Because the whole charade was for their eyes and ears, so wouldn't it have made them confused.
@MariaPurt I read an explanation on another site that believes that when Moiraine changes the oath she is speaking quietly so only she and Siuan can hear, then she raises her voice at the end of the vow so the hall can hear her say “or may my creators face turn from me” . So I’m going to suspend belief and go with that explanation 😁
@@daled9510 oh, I like this theory! Works for me! (Cos with how aes sedai oaths and generally words work, she has to manipulate what she's saying, and probably this is how they can go round this oath and let Siuan call her back sooner)

I sort of saw it coming a couple eps before, when Moiraine was sick and calling for her friend... but it was still more than I had hoped for in terms of sass and visual when the ep 6 aired.
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this before starting the tv show but maaaan this give me chills for days, such a powerful editing..and the song, such a perfect match.. need to watch this asap and hopefully by the time I end this first season you will have done some other edits for this beautiful women.. great job you made me even more eager to watch it

Beautiful. Outstanding. You did a great job of not allowing the music/lyrics to take over, allowing it only to add ambiance and you included all my favorite parts.
Slight Spoiler (maybe): As I listen to the book "New Spring" ...when Siuan says, "no life, no love of one's own, nothing but the seat" it hits so much harder now that I understand how much of a free spirit Siuan was in her novice and Accepted days...the urgency of her need for connection in this scene came through without that knowledge but with it...this scene takes on a whole different and deeper meaning. And kudos to both Sophie and Rosamund for their work here...as a non-book reader, I could feel the "need" but now as I get to understand their relationship in the books...it hits like a ton of bricks. ... just my reflections. WOW!

Same. The puffer fish nickname got me big time.🥰👏 Just so you know it's canon that they were together as novice and accepted, but implied they drifted apart by this time in the books. But, the author was under pressure from his publisher to be careful otherwise it might not sell so there is Alot of Between the lines in this story. If they are together now, they have been a couple for 20 years.

Amazing edit. As someone who have never read the books I was surprised to see that Moraine and Siuan are together and I'm so happy about it. We need more of them in the future.
It's canon. They were "pillow friends" as novice and accepted, but publicly distanced themselves when they set out on their self appointed mission 20 years before. I don't mind them extending that relationship at all. Siuan and her pufferfish are adorable 🥰💕

@@amisedai942 It is not canon. They were not lovers in the main series, and it is highly debatable they were in the prequel. The WoT Companion, approved by the author, flat out states that Moraine is not gay.

Hey girl Im gonna give you an advice, dont waste your time on any comments that you see complaining about amazon "destroying" the source material or anything with the words "woke" "agenda" or that gives you any homophobic vibes, avoid them at all costs, dont even reply, they are not fans wanting to discuss the adaptation (why here anyway? you're clearly a show-only viewer and this is fan edit) they are just hateful trolls that want people not watch the show, Ive seen them even trying to give big spoilers away just to ruin the experience for other people ( I even recognize some names from other wheel of time related videos, spamming the same sh*t over and over) these trolls are only a minority though (but a very loud and annoying one) the vast majority of the fandom is full of cool people very welcoming to new fans.

sooo, was Mr Jordan also a homophobic bigot? Of course not. he just wrote two characters that had grown up together. now they experimented as youths due to being in a high pressure setting with only women around and rampant hormones, but Jordan says (in book and out) that the characters are not and never were romantically involved with each other so don't use 'pillow friends' as ammo, it falls flat.

Minor? The author wrote a whole book especially for her at the end. A whole book! Just for her. The woman sacrificed pretty much everything for her mission... which was, you know. kind of important.

@@rkinczel not sure what the books vs tv show has to do with a fanvid, but okay. After reading the books I see no issue with Moiraine and Siuan actually having had a secret relationship. They can both be bi (many women are, it's different compared to how men view same gender relationship), which now they apparently are seeing they will both be in a relationship with men later. And plotwise it ruins nothing. Because it is a secret relationship. And in the books SIaun is suuuper worred abt Moiraine and convinces aes sedais to send someone to check on Moiraine when she doesn't send messages for long.
Relationship between two men is completely unnecessary in this series. It just spoiled the mood, especially when it had to be rosamund herself with another woman. That's just not okay for me.. That's my opinion though.
I have been seeing many comments about how emotional people are over Moiraine's oath being like a secret marriage. This is horrific, the show is presenting this as emotionally profound; sad and loving, but it's not! She takes a magical oath sealed with the powerful Oath Rod to OBEY Siuan. This is not romance, this is slavery! A slavery so absolute that Moiraine's very soul will be consumed by darkness if she disobeys Siuan. This is Evil.
Yap, that was scary. And strange why she'd swear to obey a person rather than the seat. But perhaps that will be the point later, cos Siuan can release her from this oath secretly? And if she swore to the seat, the next seat could command her?

@@MariaPurtMe Exactly. Its not slavery. Oath rod takes oaths literally. Moiraine swore that she wont return to tower until invited back by Siuan. If she swore to Amyrlin position if Siuan is deposed and replaces new Amyrlin could force Moiraine to return.

@@MariaPurtMe Exactly. As a book reader i can tell you this, when Aes Sedai speak, listen carefully. Their oaths prevent them from lying, but they know how to dance around truth. If they say "I will see if i can heal him" instead of " I will heal him" one binds them to heal, other doesn't.
Oath that Moiraine gave is literal. Listen carefully to its exact wording.
The end of RJs vision was over episode 4, this was just more mockery. I dont want moraine with a authoritarian despot anyways. I have a better idea how about thom merrilyn?

It would be like Amazon remaking the Wizard of Oz and making Lion and Scarecrow love interests.
You say that like it would be a bad thing. But have you seen what they did to Azimov's Foundation? They not just made some friends into lovers, they legit turned the 'strength is irrelevant, wisdom is all' into 'hey, let's fight'. And the funniest thing of all, the only bit of the series I actually didn't hate was the one they... created from ground zero. It had nothing to do with the books. Anything that was taken from the books, was twisted beyond recognition to the contrary of what the books were about (they were abt humanity having a pattern of behaviour, and how it is dangerous and impossible to predict one person's actions... and made it into a story about two chosen women with superpowers wtf). It's like hmmm, think of aes sedai not looking for a dragon reborn, but just hunting himher to kill and killing anyone who can be it.
So yeah, making friends into lovers is nothing in comparison.
