Actually not, the maid already revenged for herself, thats why she said she unfaithful to the Empress, if you read the novel, you will know one of the main reason why 2nd Prince died (the Empress’s son) is because the maid is the one exchanged his pillow, make him unbreathable and die after. She also the one who suggest to burn all of his belonging (include the pillow which cause his death).
john lemuel santiago i know that. I just want to clear the fact that the tittle said “She never betrayed the queen.” But the fact is, she did. She is the one who take part in the schemes against the queen, one of the main reason why the queen’s son died.
One thing about this show...no one except guards can swim. The first empress, her servant at the end of this, the emperor's grandson (wanyan throws the ball in so she can save him but she cannot swim well enough so guards jump in.) They literally have some shallow pools/small ponds at the palace. They need to teach everyone to float especially if they go on these big boat outings. The kids can ride horses while hunting but would drown in 6 feet of water. It is not exactly "dainty" like they all want to be but jeez, build a 3 foot deep pool for the children to learn to play and somewhat float/swim in. The clothing makes it harder and I know an outfit like that would be an annoyance but I could swim to the bank if I fell where the empress did.
Lianxin drowned on purpose, though. The others, I think such heavy clothes and accessories wouldn't let you swim well, which is why Yanwan miscalculated with the ball incident
At that time in that culture it didn't exist the concept of swimming for fun, specially for aristocrats and even more for noble ladies like the empress who we're taught to behave modestly and not display eccentric behaviour. You can't compare it to nowadays where most of the kids learn to swim from a young age.
Dude!! If you haD to ask if someone is evil.. they are.. maybe not a 10 evil but are intentionally harming Many it’s definitely on the high 8 to 10/10. A truly good virtuous person leaves no doubts without asking another.
Ruyi was so cute when she pouted. Ruyi called b.s. on everything emperor said. But why did she kill herself? They did her wrong and the emperor let her leave the palace.
I just noticed Empress had a different pillow before the Emperor left the room. This one doesn't match her duvet. What happened there lol (Also does anyone have a good ref of said duvet? It's beautiful!)
Jin Yuyan (Noble Consort Jia) was the one who ordered her maid Zhenshu to kill Sulian 1) to cover up the tragedy behind the death of Empress Xiaoxian 2) to put the blame on Noble Consort Chun
She was contemptuous and vile at times. Her motives were very biased in a position where she has sole authority, causing chaos constantly. She cared more about her own status and the status of her clan rather than her position as empress, her husband the emperor and the royal family. Had she not had a bad motive from even before her wedding, perhaps many of the evil schemes that occurred may not have. Karma got her in the end, and she suffered greatly for years as she kept making others suffer.

I just figured it was the hundreds of pounds of wet silk dragging them under.

Maybe it was a requirement....seeing how many people ended up in the drink. 🤷🏽♀️

11:47 Hello, Your Majesty... Lian Xin already gave you the clue...
Someone get makeup in right away and get that hair gel off the side of her head it’s bugging the crap out of me.

當日蓮心落水被嫻妃救起來,如今還是落水而死了......
I’m confused, why did someone kill Sulian?
Jin Yuyan (Noble Consort Jia) was the one who ordered her maid Zhenshu to kill Sulian
1) to cover up the tragedy behind the death of Empress Xiaoxian
2) to put the blame on Noble Consort Chun
I don't get it....she stayed loyal or not? Cause she's begging for forgiveness so I'm confused
She helped to kill one of the empress's princes to seek revenge on her, among other things
So sad

@@myrtlesnow2397 I think they meant the servant. No sane person would feel sad for the Queen.
