Unplug all cords and power and wait 30 seconds before plugging in the modem, wait for modem to start up then start up router. Also I have had this issue as well, and was my web browser that was causing it to slow down because I had ad blocker plugin. I download firefox and accessed the admin router page and it loaded back to normal quick speed.
