    On the chalk board… the 221/2 degree should be drawn lower than the 45 degree… to help visual understanding, if the 90 is highest degree-🤷🏾‍♂️ but thanks for the understanding

    Is there a formula for figuring out the take off of 22.5 degree black iron sw butt weld fitting? I know that for a 45 degree you can multiply it by .625 or split it 3 times and add the last and 3rd back number. Is there a simply way to figure 22.5s?

      That seems more like a fitter question. They use butt weld fittings. We don't weld on our side. So I'm not aware of the thirds formula you mentioned. All I know is 2.61 is your constant for finding your travel piece. And than you subtract your take off. Thanks for the question!
