Having a leak behind walls is unfortunate. The only access is through the wall. Had a leak coming down a penetration but didn't know if it was a water line pin hole leak or coming from somewhere else. As you will see it was from somewhere else:( Often we see these types of leaks on urinals. Hope you enjoy keep asking questions and thanks for the support Http://www.joonrhee.net

    Hey I am interested in becoming a apprentice plumber I am 16 and plan on doing an internship so when I turn 18 and do go apply for a union apprenticeship i can have something on my resume. Do you think it would be hard to get that position as an apprentice if I’m very interested in this trade and have a good work ethic and good sense of accountability?

    • @JoonRhee
      @JoonRhee 5 дней назад

      Love that! Are you East Coast or west coast? I don't know what your area has for internships...but I mean you could try to get experience with any type of contractor...I just don't think you can work at under 18 in the trades unless it's a family business. But you are young so don't get beat down if you don't get in right away. You have time. Enjoy being young. Plumbing is always gonna be here my man! Didn't start till I was 30 and lived a whole different life before a career. Would NOT trade that for anything. Traveled. Lived in different states. Had a ton of different jobs and experiences. Do it when you are young my man! Thanks for the great question.

      @JoonRhee 2 месяца назад

      @@argenis911 That's a good question. I've had a few people ask that one but I've never directly answered that. Even if you were to have schooling it might get you a bump on the scale but you would need to start your apprenticeship as a first-year apprentice. All Union apprenticeships for plumbing are 5 years and there is no way to test out of a grade. You would have to negotiate with your contractor a higher wage due to your knowledge base. But no you would start from ground zero as an apprentice.

    i want ask this how hard is it to become a plumber on the body wise are you in pain or do you feel healthy im 30 years old in great shape but i feel like im old for this trade at the same time i need a change in my life tired working job that pay minimum wage.

    • @JoonRhee
      @JoonRhee 2 месяца назад

      @@argenis911 you know that's actually a very common question and I definitely hit on that on a few different videos but I didn't start until I was 31. I would say I was in great shape as well. You still have to maintain that lifestyle because it is stressful and it is not easy to show up to class 2 days a week for 5 years to even try and become a plumber. So the steps in the process that I've shared throughout my channel hopefully give you a little bit more insight to what that looks like long-term. So is it going to be hard on your body for 5 to 8 years? Yeah it will. But if you're smart and if you actually apply yourself and you're actually a good plumber, you'll work your way into a management position which lessons the body use hand over fist. So I wouldn't focus too much on the body aspect as much as you need to apply your mind and actually become someone of Worth in the trade. But overall it is hard and I maintained a healthy lifestyle with a few moments of heavier drinking than normal. Not going to the gym as often, but I still maintained and tried to maintain a healthy balance

    So, I'm not going into plumbing. I'm trying to go into welding instead. But I feel like it will be similar to this, due to similar requirements and stuff. But what should I do if I don't have ANY experience with welding? What should I tell the interviewer or do if he asks me to show what I know? (I'm fresh out of high school, trying to get into welding because it's a very needed job and I have been able to work outside my whole life, so I could be used in this job very well. I have been looking, but everything and everyone talks about interviews only if you have had previous experiences with welding or something like that.) Thank you!

    • @JoonRhee
      @JoonRhee 2 месяца назад

      @@rustles98 right on and good to hear. The only similarities with plumbing and welding is they use pipes and are both a trade. But outside of that they are wildly different for sure. Welding does pay well. I took a stick welding class in the apprenticeship and it's a very dirty job in terms of fumes and what not. But there are a lot of avenues in welding. At least the types of welding. You might wanna look at pipefitting. They use welders. It's just rough on the lungs from what I've heard. Anyway as far as experience my man you're very young so they probably want to hear more that you want to learn and you aren't going to quit. Being young means you have a lot of options and for them they need to see you won't quit. But, you can take classes and try to get experience if they don't accept you this round! Keep us in tune man thanks for sharing!

    Great response to my question. You definitely can’t improve yourself without discipline. It just feels better to have a clean room, car, kitchen, etc. You brought up that quote “decide a goal make the plan throw away the goal follow the plan.” Love that mindset and how it requires discipline. One would need discipline to even carry that out. Really appreciate this answer!
