- Thank you for 20:34 of your time. In this video I restore the HP ProBook 4510s with Core 2 duo CPU and 512MB ATI GPU, released in 2009. It's not some powerful laptop but still not to finish in trash.

I don't believe all of these components works 100% correctly, especially the keyboard , it is usually has some malfunction in specific keys, and the RAM sockets, so I can't trust the reality of this video.
It's 4AM here and I am watching this guy's old videos since last 3 hours continuously.

Epic restoration. Just some feedback: I don't think you should spoil the final result at the beginning like at 00:30. Probably makes a better impact if it's shown at the end.

Watching this video makes me miss my laptop..I had this exact model..I played a my games from crysis to prince of persia forgotten sands..at the time it was a good laptop
As usual, your work is excellent. My only disagreement would be with installing 4GB rather than 8GB RAM when you had the machine open at the time. Love your video!!!
Unless you get the extra ram essentially for free, or you intend to use such an old laptop as a daily driver, I wouldn’t bother.
One suggestion fix the touchpad if it possible and not cause much cost and take this laptop to maximize upgrade like ram 480gb SSD and in cpu you will play gta5 easily at playable FPS and for ur works you got one sub

You seem to always use Kingston type SSD hard drives. I've come to expect this from all of your restoration videos. I really enjoy watching these. I have an ASUS G73JH laying in pieces in a box under my bed. Seeing you work on this makes me want to put it back together.
Mostly Kingston, but sometimes am using other brands, Kingston is cheaper and great for the value, this 120GB i got it for 18 euros, about 20 usd

Thank you :D actually this model has no good CPU support, i only have Core 2 Duo T7200 which is the same performance as the CPU on the laptop
Cat and Andrew Higher end T series or P series C2D CPUs are available in some countries for pennies / cents. Though I don’t blame you for not upgrading it, putting a P8600 in a laptop like this can make a difference if one _really_ wants to use such an old laptop as a daily driver.
I HAVE HP PROBOOK 4510s 13years and now its still working but sound of call meeting is low so i use ear phone but it still works nice 👍🏻👍🏻

In Gta Sanandreas,if you open frame limiter you get only 25fps if you want to play with normal fps status you should off frame limiter but it makes a lat of bugs and glitches.

You can get intel T9600 CPU for cheap these days. It is a substantial upgrade. And since this laptop still uses socketed CPU, you can do it without soldering.

I have hp pavilion dv3000 and this when he dint restore it it was worse than my laptop but then after he restroed its better than mine ... Good job

Next time try to use CloudReady, aka Chrome OS. It can run android apps,is a very very lightweight os, perfect for old laptops!

Andrew you can try elementary OS ! It is very light and beautiful! It would work great on this laptop.
Elementary OS just received a huge update to 5.1 it’s the friendliest Linux out there. Definitely good for these old systems, passing onto relatives etc.

Nice video. I have one of these laying in my drawer. I never actually liked this model for its super noisy fan. Mine is like a vacuum cleaner even when running an empty win7 after reinstalling. I hoped you will mention that and try to tune it up to give me some inspiration :D

Hi Andrew, my laptop’s hinges area nuts are broken(which are fixed inside the plastic body). Please suggest a good glue which can hold the hinges load.. i tried some glue but it didn’t hold the hinges more than a week..
Great work! You encouraged me to restore my own laptop. I have a hp pavilion dv6700 as i researched motherboard support 4gb ram max. You mentioned one of your videos that max ram doesn't matter. If it supports 8gb ram i will restore and use it. What do you think?
you can do that but keep in mind the cost. I was thinking about the same until I found out that 8GB DDR2 would cost more than real value of the laptop is :D

Cool video, like the channel. Why not try and find a replacement touchpad? That would have finished it off nicely. Also as mentioned by another viewer, a light weight Linux disto would be perfect for this laptop.

I have hp probook 4710s and I have disame problem with touch pad. I upgraded procesor to intel core i5 with 8gb ram and 500gb ssd

My grandpa bought this same laptop at a garage sale, but it has vista sticker, but i installed windows 7.
In 2020, Windows 7 will no longer receive security updates. Might be time to upgrade to Win 10, or better yet, a Linux distro.
