I helped my buddy build one in his backyard in 9th grade, his parents bought all the wood. About 6 feet tall by 15 feet
They say you can't skate and they do a 50-50 stal as your doing a 540 above there head lol
I built one during quarantine with my dad and brothers and now our friends come over more so.....
One of my brothers friends was selling one for 200$
skaters: notorious for trespassing and hopping fences just to skate
also skaters: create skateparks the public isnt allowed to skate

I had a friend who would go to Woodward every summer 10 years ago. I’m not sure how much it cost, but when he went there, he said he had to work every day, then would be able to BMX there when he was done with work.
I plan to go work there just so I can ride the parks
so... child labor?
There’s a program where you wash dishes or clean the eating areas and you get to go for a discounted price (maybe even free, idk) lol

Haha..i bunch of us from southern Virginia drove up there in the late 80's around September and nobody was there..some of the ramps had chains/lock but the one thing I remember most is that it was masonite on the outdoor ramps so it was thick with moisture and slow. Lol good times.
I grew up about 45 mins from there and went for a weekend (Fri night-sun afternoon) in like 97/98ish. Even back then the less than 48 hours was like $400 I think.

i live about 16 minutes from ca training facility and it's actually open every week, but the big problem with the park is the fact that it's three runs that join up in one big quarter, so falls happen pretty frequently

You definitely let out the Dutch Olympic training facility. It’s only for the Dutch Olympic team, but the park is is just amazing.

I think the Thrasher footage has black and white style because back in the day Transworld Skateboarding was all glossy and colorful, but Thrasher only had glossy covers. The pages were like newspaper print.

Cali training facility is a couple hundred feet from my house. you can get in for $25 every fri sat and sunday i believe. still havent gone because alga is about 2 miles away and free

I’m in the airforce currently out at Sheppard AFB in Texas I just got back into skating and honestly for a outdoor wooden park it’s pretty solid most bases actually have skate parks that are really good

This was a good list. Instead of listing Woodward, CA training facility, etc. I would have talked about other Pro's private parks, like Shane O'Neill, Leticia Buffoni, or maybe even the "alleged" park that's hidden in a Brooklyn warehouse.
I live walking distance from Malto's private park in KC. Kind of a bummer knowing there's a dope ass indoor park right down the street from my house and I'll never skate it.

I just was skateboarding in surprise az about two weeks ago. I had just got back into skateboarding after stopping for a about 15 years. I've been skateboarding for most of my life, but lived a strict, sheltered life. Didn't have no TV and just a few skateboarding books and magazines. I was wondering why are these guys so good today!? Then a guy kept me introducing it as his name and said hi I'm Steve. I didn't realize it was Steve Berra and the Leander Sanders the skate 🐐 goat!!!! Dammm it. It was a pretty awesome day. They were so cool and humble...you wouldn't even know they were famous pros. I wanted to ask for an autograph but I chickened out. It was inspiring though even though my little buddy got a picture with them LOL

There's the Scouts skatepark in Mount Hope, West Virginia which is huge.
Only open to Scouts, it's really dumb since the Scouts are only in town like once a year. It goes unskated most of the year.

Woodward is for kids which is a bummer. If you’re an adult you can only go there one weekend out of the year where you can skate all the parks. If you do the weekend getaways they only let you skate the indoor stuff

im counting the brooklyn banks as a park not neccesarily an exclusive one but still
