I did it and loved every moment. One day I was a kid out surfing watching F-111s fly past, then before I knew it I was in an F-111 flying past. Now I’m back out surfing watching F-35 fly past wishing I could do it all again. Dream and don’t stop.

What motivation is there for young people to sign up to die for rich old peoples bank balances and egos? Recruitment rates are dropping in Western countries worldwide. And this kind of marketing is disgenious when 99% of the recruits won't even get near a jet.

Very cool ad. Don’t exclude Australia’s main demographic in your desire to include every fringe group of society. It’s too glaring. Balance it out. I might just add, I’ll never forget a conversation I had with a friend of mine back in high school who was Chinese born. Even though he was an Australian citizen he said to me openly that if Australia and China went to war he’d fight for China. ASIO and the AFP are going to have their hands full with all these divided loyalties that come with “diversity”. Mark my word. But nobody wants to talk about that.

Australia's main demographic was not excluded as that's the majority of RAAF personnel seen. The balance was in showing it's open to any demographic.

I don't know why you tailor your recruitment ads just around being a pilot and just show casing aviation roles, yeah it's cool and all but 9 out of 10 people will never be able to be a pilot and will end up in some crappy desk job.

Yeah not much variety but we only really have 3 fighters and the F-35 is the most advanced so it makes sense they only used it, but F-18s would of been a nice touch

That future is way ahead and might not even come since well, picking scout drones that might carry bombs other than choosing an aircraft with an extremely advanced computer that carries tons of missiles and bombs with high speeds and a person with tactical thinking, the choice is obvious

the f-35 is an extremely smart and stealthy fighter, only one variant is made to vtol and that's for the us marine corps, the f-35 itself can fire missiles literally behind the plane, and has a lot of smart systems

This ad is sad... Only 1% of those who apply to become a pilot, make it as a fighter pilot. The rest fly wide bodied aircraft and the other failed pilots move to air traffic control and other shit jobs. This is the reality.
