Some dock mates years ago had an older Corsair that absolutely screamed in light and heavy air off Long Beach, CA... enjoy your time with that 🚀!!!
It's so nice to finally see a well produced channel featuring this boat. Since you're such experienced sailors, I look forward to your insight, pros and cons, how you use it, what conditions it's good/ bad for etc. I look forward to your upcoming videos.
Having seen the more recent adverts for Corsair I was so happy to see you guys "boat modeling" for their products! I don't sail yet but always dreamed of weekend sailing around the great lakes and literally pulling up on a beautiful beach! Look forward to seeing you guys take advantage of the shallow draft and redick speeds the 880 offers...!
That a really cool rig to play on. Obviously a weekender and it looks comfortable for that. I cant wait to see where you take it.
I have a 22 foot trailer sailer and been looking for a new floor plan. The interior on that thing is awesome. Thank you for the walkthrough.
Thanks for showing the boat and I see why the company allowed you two to have boat number 2 you are great Ambassador for the boat.
Very Good coverage on the storage part. Thank you so much to both of you guys..👍
This is a great boat! A lot off space and smart interior. lots off safe (and fast) NM guys!
Thanks for posting.
What a well designed Trimaran, way more space a well thought out features than I'd imagined.
👍👍👍
Great tour and a great boat. Looking forward to your adventures.
That boat is so coool, so fast and looks very easy to live on
Awesome boat! Can't wait to see her sailing. Thanks for the tour.
Looking forward to your new adventures. Sailboat portability and its live-in capability will have its advantages & challenges. Enjoy the ride.
Holy cow. I love the 880. Enjoy it!
Thank you for the run through! Very good 😌.
I find the exterior super innovative and unique. I would be interested to know more about your experience with the interior solutions and where you see possible improvement.
This is for sure a boat that I am very interested in!!!
Thank you for sharing your travels and special life 👍🙏
It looks so much simpler to take care of and easy to check out everything.
Really enjoyed the tour. Thanks. A suggestion for sail before icing over Lake Superior or Lake Erie.
Just found your channel an you guys have help me find my new two fav boats, this and the Seawind !!!! I want both!
Minnesota! Come to Leech Lake in Walker, MN! We have a great regatta in August and attract a half dozen Corsairs! From there you could explore Lake of the Woods, Isle Royale on Superior - endless adventure! Enjoy your time on this little rocket!
Loved the vid. Beautiful gal. I meant the boat ; )
Our family sailed one all around the Gulf of Mexico, when I was young. We stored our stuff in the outboard hulls, and it had a ton of room for four people. We always slept on deck unless there was weather about. Some of my very best memories. Thanks for bringing them back to me. Bon Voyage🍾 to you both!🌬
Can't wait to see it for real!
Love the flush cockpit and this boat is rigged! Corsair has come a long way since my 2006 F24. I miss my trimaran and would love this boat. I like the synthetic standing rigging too and that orange aesthetic!
Previously owned an F-28R for many years. The 880 definately has ergonomic improvements (galley, head location, engine config to name a few). Headroom/cabin space is still the tradeoff with a comparable monohull (for extended cruising). The speed is incredible on these boats.
Thanks for posting and sharing. Looks like THE awesome adventure vehicle! ⛵️
can't wait to see how the cooking goes and to see how easy (or hard) it is to fold the boat up and lower the mast! wondering how the boat would handle on the largest lake in the world called the Gulf...lol. there is always a breeze, but usually pretty calm seas. cheers guys
Great boat tour thanks guys!!!
Jetty seems truly content to be back on a boat! She'll be needing a life jacket full time for this set up! Thanks for giving us the tour!
So how comfortable would you feel sailing it to the caribbean or Bahamas for a week or two's cruising? It looks as if it would be no problem.
Seawind have gone the xtra mile, nice fun machine to tide you over. well done.
Awesome! You’ll have so much fun with the 880. Yes some compromises with interior space but not much heeling and great speed especially in light winds! Will you have some kind of dinghy?
Really nice. Out of my price range but a beautiful boat none the less. Thanks for showing.
Excellent daysailer tri. Love it. Jetty does too...!..we are in sync
I love it!. Lake of the Ozarks would be a fun sail.
Lots of razor sharp points and edges in a boat. Great design.
Thanks for the tour, and for telling us what you are doing on that boat and that it is not your new boat you are getting.
Nice boat. My dream. Thanks for the visit. Marc
Great presentation you guys!!
Wow, what a cool boat! Enjoy and safe sailing :)
Loved the tour :)
Great stuff guys
Thanks for the very interesting video. Subscribed.
🙌🙌🙌
nice fast boat!! you will enjoy a different sail!!i live in san diego. it will be fun to sail along the west coast as well!!
You should have that trimaran here in Jupiter, FL now. I did a MA2 flight looking for sharks off Jupiter yesterday. It is beautiful. We are at the JupterReefClub this week. I would like to see your trimaran when you get back to Jupiter. LMK. Safe travels.
The trimaran offers great speed, but man, living in a hallway would be a challenge. That is a really narrow living space. Good on you guys!
Looking forward to the new adventure.
I have a Sirroco Explorer 15 which I'm adding a dodger. Windows. Lots of extras. Makes a huge difference. Big boat features in a day sailor.
That boat would be perfect for the San Juan Islands in Washington State!! All you really need is a couple of crab traps and a good boat pole for bottom fishing for rockfish (season runs March through Oct). Chinook Salmon season in the Sound starts in July or August but it's heavily regulated so check before you fish.
Consider Lake Powell as you come across the US. That boat would look cool with the sandstone canyons and buttes behind it.
Love your new home! Travel safe and stay healthy Billy, Sierra and Jetty!
Very cool little boat!
pretty thought out little boat!!
Nice looking boat. If you're heading cross country, plan a stop in Colorado this summer. We have several large lakes/reservoirs for sailing. I spend my summers in the mountains and winters in the Bahamas.
Nice boat enjoy that fast Tri
Looks like they gave you all the toys!
Great covid restrictions boat, great channel concepts, great couple.
I have a must see destination recommendation .
Lake powell In southern Utah and Arizona. I keep my boat there for the last three years and still 80% to explore! I don't think I Will ever see it all it has more shore line than the entire west coast of the US. Not to many sail boats on the lake not sure why but the Corsair looks perfect for it. Avoid July and August for the tourists and the heat.
Check it out! Hope to see you there.
Come to San Diego! Great waters to explore here and lots of sea life to see!
Coming up the East coast, got to check out the chesapeake bay, Choptank river and a few of the river side towns, tons of rivers and cuts to check out 🤙
Beautiful boat!
That would be great boat for Block Island in the summer!!
Very cool boat!
Thats a wicked machine!
very similar to the Ian Farrier design- with some nice upgrades. Really awesome ride! Maybe consider a lazy cradle for the main.
Definitely come to the west coast!! Love the Corsair btw
After COVID to the West. Too many unpredictable restrictions right now.
Thank you Awesome 😎
Cool tri! If traveling thru Midwest next spring try Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes.
Nice small boat with all on and inside!
Now that is sweet good to see you back in a sailboat. We iove ya. 009
Cool boat , . Do u have an idea as to wave height safety n wind speeds. Also propane? Storage. The water heater works off the generator..
Great fior the fla keys n Bahamas ,or too rough there crossing. Arizona lakes ,Reno NV , etc. all great places
Have fun
I like the boat a lot. You can get to your cruising grounds much faster and go into shallower anchorages. That is a HUGE safety factor. You can out run, hide from, or otherwise dodge storms. I am a big fan of Corsair, but under no circumstances am I going to sleep in that aft cabin. You brave, "comfortable in confined space" folks might want to sleep there, but for me, that is storage. Unless the deck hatch is open, it has inadequate ventilation. And, in some remote or even nonremote anchorage, in the middle of the night, a pirate (OK, a run of the mill nautical criminal) can board your board your boat and trap you in that cabin. The best place to sleep is in the main cabin in the berth with the table down and second best is the V-berth. I had a Pierson 26 for years which had a very similar layout, but a bit wider in the beam because it was a monohull, so I know. The next thing to do is to remove that worthless main cabin starboard setee and build up a cabinet for food and kitchen supplies or even a flat workspace. Remember, this is, regardless of what the brochures say, a two person boat! You can bring two adult sized friends for a day sail to a nearby marina or maybe even anchor out for a short weekend, but if you are going to do some fun extended coastal/FL Keys/Bahamas cruising, it is a two person boat! Put your light weight, small, rowable dingy on one of the trampolines. On the other side put a paddle board or kayak. Mostly have fun.
Nice little fun weekend warrior.
Really cool boat! I love trimarans, especially smaller ones cause it virtually eliminates the tipping over aspect of small boats. I’ll race ya with my ODay daysailer if we find ourselves on the same Water lol! I’ll give y’all a run for your money 😂
Nice boat, a lot of thought was put into the design. How long does it take to set up for sailing after trailering?
Nice quick tri and you definitely need to blast over to Catalina Isl. when in SoCal. If you need another experienced multi deck hand to pull the strings ping me!
An excellent tour! Still looks a bit small for oceanic voyages.
Cool boat!
Love it
What powers the water heater? Is the stove a propane small bottle set up? Does it have shoreside power as well? How much water does it hold? Black water?
Perhaps this will be in a future tour. Thanks
Nice setup
Jetty wants one. 360 view and lots to bark at. I want one too, nice machine!!
Having just purchased a Dometic drawer fridge as an icebox replacement, I'd be interested in how it works out for you. Best wishes from Canada.
Aw to be young, that looks like it's going to be fun.
I recommend Grand Lake Colorado. One of my favorite places in the world. Beautiful lake and Mountains. It is cold though and high altitude so not sure if you guys will make it over there. But would be cool to see! Also have you guys thought about doing a sailing race? I have been learning at my club and it has been a lot of fun. Would be interesting to see you guys give it a try. The oldsters definitely school me every time but I'm getting better haha
It would be great to know how much headroom it has. I am curious if the the rear hatch is left open and a wave comes over the stern, will water flood the aft cabin?
Looks like fun!
Cheers from Juneau Alaska,
Greg Chaney
Verryyy nice boad! I really like it!
Can you fold the sides of the Boad while you are in the water?
A Video of that would be cool!
So.calif.is great lots of surfing beaches clear up to san Francisco!! You have to watch for great whites 🥶 lots to see take I 10 happy travels. Jeff
Oh my I think I found my next boat you two did a great job describing the boat I can't wait to see it boogie. Code Red out
Nice boat and tour. I have an F-22, so the 880 is very nice and much larger comparatively.
You Are super lucky to get to spend time it and with your truck camper, that's a great set up.
what powers the water heater and the stove? refridge is 12 volt? what do you have for batteries.
Enjoy it, I am sure you will..Doug
I say you go to Lake Mead outside Las Vegas. You can sail right up to Hoover Dam and use it as a backdrop.
Then the other end of the lake there is a whole area of fire red rock formation comes right down to the shore.
And beyond that is a section of sheer rock high cliffs on both sides of the lake/river. The desert scenery of
every kind along the lake would be a whole world away from where we normally see you all. And this sure is
the time of year for it. I think that trimaran might melt if you take it there in the summer. Wicked hot And no wind.
Sailed my 18 ft Hobie Cat there for about 6 years. That was 32 years ago. Fair winds you guys.
Doggy looks stoked!
Yall should stop by the New Orleans area for home cooked cajun food and great winds on Lake Ponchartrain ! We live on the north shore across from Phil's Marina Cafe, have room to pull the trihull up behind the house if u want . I know yall are gonna have fun with that bad boy !!!
Will it handle 6+ foot waves for the Bahamas . Also Arizona lake page .. nice western lakes , Mexico etc
Bigger than I thought and lots of light, it's cute. peace
That's C-R-A-Z-E-E !!!
That is really a nice boat. I'm thinking that's the perfect boat for The Loop. (can you walk around deck with the floats in up position?)
(what is draft with dagger board up/ down?) (what is mast clearance for bridges?)
THANKS from Heart of Dixie Alabama ❤
awesome little boat, better still, you have a trailer for it
If y'all get out this way up near las vegas theres lake mead its pretty big a little low on water but still enough to sail on. East of Phoenix is roosevelt lake it too is pretty large. Alot of sailboats use the salt river for recreation sailing. Then of course theres the pacific ocean lol about 300 miles west of tucson to san diego.
Where is the battery? How many batteries can it take? What type battery. Were there any solar panels? Are you heading to the Dry Tortugas? How big is the water & fuel tanks?
The rigging seems pretty much standard for a Corsair tri, I love the quick release outboard steering link, I'm definitely stealing that for mine! Does that toilet lock in the deployed position? If not, I'd be afraid of launching the occupant as soon as you dig into a decent wave! These are going to be some fun times ahead!
The head has a piston on the base it is mounted to so that along with the small amount of friction of the base keeps it secured when in or out.
Good for competitions
This takes the ‘Dutch oven’ to a whole new level.
Great boat. How do you plan to go from east coast to west coast? Panama or is there another water way?
