    You don't need to cut any part of the trim, be patient and it'll fit, push the end with a flat head screwdriver and the light itself flexes and eventually will slot in !

      I tried man, that's how I broke one of the lights the first time around though. They're pretty cheap and weak. But hey, obviously you found a way! Thanks for letting everyone know!

    Thanks you for taking the time to do the video. You made my day, I just installed my set of 4 lights but what I used to make it fit was an flat metal file and you have to shave at least 1mm to make it fit perfect.

      This video is very old when these units were first being made. Most units did not fit well. A lot has changed in 5 or so years!

      If they don’t fit though, I’d recommend returning them and ordering a new set first. (From someone else).
      This video is old. The batches from China back then were very inconsistent. They have gotten much better!
      You shouldn’t need to shave anymore.

    I have x3 f25 2013 and doesn’t have lights at all at the door panel but as I saw the same model has so depending from the version you buy . So my question is if I open holes is there any possibility to find cabling inside?

    Hi man,
    I got a pair of those and after about 5 months of use, the projected logo on the ground is not clear anymore. Very unclear colors and blurry. Have you got any problem similar to this ?
    //Jerson

    • @SaraiGarage
      @SaraiGarage  4 года назад +1

      El Jersito Mine are not blurry but there are like 2-5 “holes” in the BMW logo film that’s on top of the bulb now causing small black spots in the projection. These are just cheap Chinese bulbs. You might have got a bad batch. Just swap them out with some new ones. Like I said in the video I’d be happy to get 1-2 years out of them. Even then $16 every year or two is not bad. It’s just annoying having to spend time to redo the job. Wish BMW would make bulbs like this themselves that would last longer. I wish you and your BMW the best! 🙏🏾🙌🏾

    the original part available from BMW will fit, what else do you expect from an aftermarket part.

    • @SaraiGarage
      @SaraiGarage  3 года назад

      I agree.
      It is what it is. I’m not mad. I ordered another set and they were too small this time.
      It sucks but for $4 a door you can’t beat it.
      Much better than BMW $30-$50 per door!

    Mate where do you get the bmw logo from?

    • @SaraiGarage
      @SaraiGarage  3 года назад +1

      From Amazon. I added some links in the description! Be careful where you buy them from! Some will give you error lights. The ones in the description are the ones I bought and are error-code free!

    does it work in the 325i?

    • @SaraiGarage
      @SaraiGarage  3 года назад +1

      Yes, if your lights are in the doors it will work. Just make sure you get the correct size on amazon. It may be a little smaller on the cars vs X-series SUV's.
      Double check but the general installation process is the same.

    A screwdriver with one tiny wrap of electrical tap on its tip will work better. Tape if you’re worried about not being able to see rim of light to remove) otherwise a screwdriver is fine. Buying this plastic kit...waste of money.
