Nice vid. Good to see the lift of the shadows happen with the tire shot. 10:07 reminded me that I'd like to monochrome a few images. I also like that you touch on your composition and definitely the lens choices. A nice vid for beginners and intermediates. I haven't used lightroom because I'm a video guy, but I'm definitely checking out those presets to see if I can cop the data for resolve.
Your headline stopped me cold… Hard to go any further. Why it’s necessary to color grade? If you have to explain that to somebody, they’re not ready to color grade. They know absolutely nothing about video production if they don’t know why without you having to explain it to them.
So if they don't how how will anyone know how to do something or why to do it? When you started did you know how, the first time you hit the shutter did you know how tone curves worked. Nope, neither did I so I am not making that video for the people who know, its for those who dont know. thanks
