I agree, I discovered SoM w/ "Numenorean" (check REGRET)if you like "Gaerea" definetely give them a try. But absolutely agree, whenever I need more black metal specially, I'll just head to the website and check whatever ios coming out, quality is their signature.

Fado meets black metal, melancholy meets anger. It’s somehow good to see Black Metal no longer needs boring satanic symbolism and wannabe nihilism for telling a good story in its lyrics. I heard Gaerea too has nihilistic lyrics, i didn't read them. But it's evident that their idols are Mgla, the band with the most nihilistic lyrics in whole metal

I mean, technically, most black metal is fado, since there is no specific music component to it, rather the lyrical content being melancholy and sad. I don’t think that’s what these guys had in mind when writing though.

Absolutely amazing! It's hard to win people over to more extreme metal sometimes, but I feel like I could introduce a more open-minded friend or two to this and they'd at least be like "I get it" when it comes to trying to prove that metal doesn't just convey anger or aggression, etc. There's beauty to be found in even the loudest music, and Gaerea continue to prove it!

Gaerea are modern day super heroes, saving us with killer music yet remaining a total mystery to everyone except inner circle people. They must sleep well at night.
Once again, Gaerea showcases its raw talent and creativity within the extreme scene. It goes hand in hand with their ability to evoke powerful emotions at the individuals. All new tracks elicit very strong feelings. A brilliant masterpiece!

The moods you create in each of your songs and the multiple moods within each song take us on a journey of sound and thought. This is something beyond what black metal ever thought it would be. Brilliant music. I am loving everything about this.

Another masterpiece!! This is going to be another epic album. Season of Mist please please re-release Gaerea's first two albums. I've been going" Indiana Jones" trying to find used copies. Can't wait. Pre-ordered a while back and upgrading sound system at home cause this album is going to need it.
