One of the first masters of lure making I saw online who encouraged me to star making lures miself. Videos are educational and relaxing to, and I enjoy waching them every now and then trying to learn something new and improve my own lures. I wish you lots of new videos and ideas.
Another silent fan of your work here, I really enjoy your fantastic abilities to make superb items in home conditions, your videos are a real joy to watch, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a job in TV industry. Thank You!
Paul you are amazing. I've been watching your videos for years now. I got into making lures myself with a huge thanks to you and solar fall. I truly hope you start pumping out more videos.
Thank I am glad you enjoy them, it can get a bit mind numbing watching the same few second video over and over again but mor often than not it pays off, so thanks
just bought my first lure / spinning rod for sea beach and rock fishing. Can't wait to get a chance to go. In the mean time I'll be in the man cave seeing what I can make. loving the videos thanks for sharing your knowledge. Simon
Hi Paul - great how to vid. I started tying my own mackerel lures at the start of the summer as a result of your excellent tuition. I've caught loads this summer and perfected a pattern that is deadly for where I fish. Thank you! 😀🐟
Thanks Paul, you have given me another tool for lure making. Gotta try the net for the scale finish. I used your screen on aluminum technique and it worked great! With winter coming, cant wait to try making some new lures!
I'm not much of a commenter, but I've been with you, and enjoyed several years. At the chance of sounding like an ex, I'll end there. Awesome job over the years, and unlike an ex, I look forward to many more!
Hi Paul, I'm Eric Englund from Reno NV USA, if your ever out my way I can take you to do some fishing you'll only get here. I love your videos and watching what each one is about. You are truly a master craftsman! Eric
You've got skillz for sure. I've been following your channel for quite a while now, and have told many of my fishing buddies to check you out. You certainly don't disappoint. Cheers!
Paul, a true professional!! Sooo much talent! I look forward to your videos!! Keep up the wonderful work!!! winter is about here and time to make some lures of my own. thanks for the inspiration!!
thanks, i only really improve when i get a chance to practice, but when i come back to airbrushing after a break it takes me a while to get back into it, i think i have just got to the point that i am no longer afraid of the bloody thing
That's very Nobel of you! lol! This video reminded me that you are actually the first person I subscribed to on RUclips. It's thank to your channel that I am now a RUclips Junkie.
You're a clever fella! Totally amazing lures. I'd love to have a go at doing this. I just wish I had the time. I've tied my own flies for years, but this is something else. I wonder if my other half will be happy with me converting the spare room....!
Like your presentation -short and to the point.. hate drawn-out overkill vids. I have been a lure make since the early 1970's and still turning them out. Wish I could find a way to post a pic of my work here for you to critique, but I see none available. Anyway, nice job, and I need to get back to the shop to see if the latest twelve top coats have dried. Happy trails, good luck and good fishing. (Snyper Custom Rod-Lure-Knife).
what paint and airbrush setup do you use (really just brand of paint). Im looking into painting my own lures once I sculpt them and I have several wooden blanks just laying around
Hello, what should I pay attention to when making temptations? How should the temptation to make him swim like a normal fish. I don't know why the temptation I made was like dragging a dead fish when it was taken off. There was no fish swimming at all. thank you very much
It is one of those lures I keep thinking about, and I think it is because it is a lure that is stamped out of metal by the million but it still feels a very personal lure, but i am not sure when I will get round to it though, thanks
I have done it in the past, it does give a great look, I used it over foil as an experiment but never made a video, I think there is one the makelure site. Thanks
It is a bambi 15ltr oilless but i would not recommend them, i had a terrible time dealing with them. any oilless small compressor will do, the bigger the tank the longer between the pump kicking in
It is a Flat cap and my wife bought for me near where i used to live it was ridiculously expensive, but it is constant reminder of that time www.ardalanish.com/shop/clothing/flat-caps/
Hello Paul, once again receive my greetings from Peru... As usual you did an incredible work ... congratulations and thank you for sharing your tips. This time I learn something new from you... using an Acrylic Marker ...I'm not sure whether I can get those markers here in our market, but I'm going to look for some markers in Amazon. I'm not sure what brand to choose... I tried to see the one you were using, but I only saw the tip of the marker...hahaha... thanks again and have a safe fishing...
This is a great video, and I will try painting one of my lures like this. Thanks. Also if you don't mind me asking how do you design your lures on the computer so that you can print them. I usually just sketch them by hand. Thanks
It depends this lure I have never drawn I just carved it I made a few at once so they are all little different. The CAD software I use normally for more complicated lures or if I need to draw plans other people to use. The software is draft-sight, its advantage is were I need to play round designs to fit things into a body but it is not essential
Is Envirotex Lite good for a top cover? I want to get into lure making instead just buying premade stuff which doesn't always fits what I really need ;)
Awesome ;) Now I only need to figure out where to get such fine metal net to paint fish scale and I'm good to go (i would like to get myself some hexagonal pattern). Cheers!

Another great video. Here in Pennsylvania, we are head toward winter and ice, a great time for me to try out some of your techniques. Thanks Paul.
Over here we just get damp and cold in the winter instead damp and warm in the summer, good luck
Paul, thank you so much for making these videos. They're honestly so entertaining and very relaxing. Thanks :)
Thanks

A video per week will be great.....looking forward to them....

I always feel like the acrylic pen is too heavy handed when it's going on in these videos, but the way you soften it makes it really work. Good job.
Keep up the good work. Love the attention to detail
Thanks, I am working away on the next one
Good Stuff! I'm really glad you're going to be able to put out more videos on a regular basis.
Tight Lines and Fun Times!
I will be editing until my fingers hurt

It is a Flat cap and my wife bought for me near where i used to live it was ridiculously expensive, but it is constant reminder of that time www.ardalanish.com/shop/clothing/flat-caps/
Thank you very much Paul. Also for adding the link to the flat caps.
Cheers.
Brilliant lure mate, you should set up an online eBay shop and sell them, you could even personalise them for people
It is always time, the more lures I make the less videos
Sir, you are awesome! :)

Why do you prefer epoxy over varnish?
you should try to make your own fishing pole
Paul, what is the name of the software to import the draw in the computer?

Thank you Paul ;)
