That’s a great story! Growing up on Hershey’s and even taking a tour of the factory must have been an exciting experience. It’s fascinating how certain brands like Hershey’s can become such a nostalgic and default choice, even when we enjoy exploring other options like dark M&M’s. Hershey’s definitely holds a special place for many, especially with its history and connection to childhood memories!
I have had chocolate from around the world and possibly I may be a little biased because I live 45 minutes from Hershey Pennsylvania but Hershey's chocolate is the greatest everyday chocolate in the world.
Fun fact Hersheys does not make their own chocolate anymore, that is done by another outside supplier, Hershey remelts the chocolate at their plants. Hesheys original 19 east plant was closed several years ago partly razed and converted to offices. Hershey then expanded the Hershey West plant in its place, installing highly automated lines and reducing jobs.
I grew up on Hershey's. In the sixties as a schoolboy I took a tour of the factory. I am aware there is better chocolate, I love dark M&M's, but Hershey's is my default.
I went on a tour of the Hershey factory back in the mid 90's. They had a tram that reminded me of the lab tour in the first Jurassic Park movie. You sat sideways on the tram with a bar across your lap as it rolled past large windows looking into the factory. At the end of the tour they were passing out their newest candy bars to everyone, cookies and cream.
Hershey bars used to be big for a dime. Now half the size for 2 bucks. The share size is the old size for 3 bucks. It can't cost them more than 2 cents a bar to make. I bet the CEO has a nice mansion.
I heard about five years ago they had closed the bug factory in Pennsylvania. I hope they have reopened. We were there about twenty years ago and as soon as we parked the car in their parking lot we could smell the wonderful chocolate smell coming from the stacks.
It's definitely Pure Imagination. I definitely love the way the Hershey Chocolate System works its magic 24/7😅😂🎉❤. I definitely always would choose sugar free and stevia based super healthy dark chocolate. Especially when I choose 5th Avenue and Reese's bars.
Hershey has cut so many corners in production over the years its not the same product the founders created. The iconic foil wrapped bars are gone along with the taste.
Every 6 mos. My parents loaded the camper up and east we went to hershyville, ive seen just about every inch of that place over the decades, and its probly changed since the mid 60s 70s era
Can you imagine being surrounded by that much chocolate every day? What would be your dream job in a chocolate factory-tasting or creating new flavors? 🍫
Hershey's uses a different process than other producers The chocolate base is a mix of a proprietary blend of standard chocolate choco powder and something they call chocolate liquor It is this 3 ingredient process that distinguishes Hershey's from all the other chocolate makers
Some of this footage had to have been filmed back in the 60’s or 70’s, anyone notice how much larger and thicker the bars were compared to the tiny thin Hershey bars now?
Ok, 1 million tons per day, equals 2 billion pounds per day. The USS Gerald R. Ford displaces 100,000 tons. So the factory is producing 10 aircraft carriers of chocolate PER DAY? That's quite a bit of chocolate..🤔
I quit buying Herseys years ago when they started making there products in Mexico. I called their number and a lady Lied about it and said they make candy in Different places but it's Top Secret. If I were from that town I would be Ashamed
I'm sure European chocolates are superior, I've heard they are also valued for freshness. However I'm just an American peasant with peasant tastes so I prefer Hershey to most expensive chocolates.
6:55 Except they removed the lil white cardboard pieces from the Reese's cup packaging in their Halloween candy bags 🎃 = Reese's mangled melted squished deformed cup massacre! ☠🦇 The lil cardboard pieces are there for a reason. 🍫 Stop ruining good things by tryna save money! You're sacrificing quality. 🫵😡
It's crazy how many ingredients they use for peanut butter. I make my own peanut butter. I use peanuts, and salt. Oh, and it tastes amazing. Why all the sugar and vegetable oil? Stop poisoning everybody!
Its great to see this however most of the mega factory that you see as far as Hershey is gone! Most of Hershey's products are made in Mexico not Hershey. Reese's planet where it has been from the start is still there. The main Hershey plant has been torn down. There is another plant over by Reese's which at last was the automated which makes the kisses. The other parts of this show Guittard Chocolate factory. Great story if it was current and not deceiving.
What kind of research did this guy do? There is NOT a mega plant in Hershey. They have plants all over the World with very little to almost none actually manufactured in Hershey any more. I turned the video off after that. If you can't even get that right, there's probably little else that is right in this video.
Yes, Milton Hershey did not set out to copy expensive European chocolate. His mission was to make affordable chocolate. You can choose which you want to buy.

Your videos are amazing, every frame brings indescribable emotions

I have been there,You would be amazed at the taste of the peanut butter cup right off the production line.
2:20 Hershey's Secret Ingredients are Milk Fat, Lecithin, Polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR)
I like how they showed how peanut 🥜 butter is made! I love ❤ peanut 🥜 butter!

Delicious. I like it.
I remember 3 Mile Island nuclear incident.
I wasn't allowed to eat Hershey's chocolate until further notice from my dad

Sugar free? Why even bother? Eat salad, squirrel boy.

See the ladies sorting the Reese's reminds me of the tv show Lucy lol
Can you imagine being surrounded by that much chocolate every day? What would be your dream job in a chocolate factory-tasting or creating new flavors? 🍫
Excellent production process
President Carter was a peanut farmer
A chocolate lovers dream... not if you're from Belgium. But I do love watching how it's made.
Belgium chocolate!!! The best!!!
Haha, fair point-Belgian chocolate does set a high bar! Do you think Hershey’s could ever compete with the Belgian classics in your heart? 🍫😊

Watch out Hershey’s, a RUclipsr is coming for ya! 😂😂😂😂
uploaded 1 day ago, showing video clips from within the factory which is 25 years old.
The video is amazing right
chocolate
SPEAKING OF, WE NEED MORE PEANUT BUTTER CHRISTINE.
Some of this footage had to have been filmed back in the 60’s or 70’s, anyone notice how much larger and thicker the bars were compared to the tiny thin Hershey bars now?
Reese’s pieces do not have any peanut butter in them
They are filled with panuch

Dark chocolate is soooo much better than milk chocolate

So much of this video in not Hershey's. What they do have is stock video that was shot in the 1970's.
I'm sure European chocolates are superior, I've heard they are also valued for freshness. However I'm just an American peasant with peasant tastes so I prefer Hershey to most expensive chocolates.
The only Hershey that is tolerable to me is special dark
The brown liquid peanut sludge looks like dog vomit. Sorry. 😊😊
No sugar there, only High-fructose corn syrup.
Request and suggest
To produce high quality of diabetic chocolate for diabetic people
Your sales and fame will cover to the world
Bittersweet contains almost no sugar. Widely available in grocery stores. Not a Hershey product.
Most businesses have casual Friday. Does Hershey's have Willy Wonka cosplay day day?
"millions of tons per day"..... I don't think so.

Hershy is made in Mexico now, not USA.
I volunteer to eat the defective bars that have those horrible rough edges and uneven surfaces.
Sugar,,, need diabetes gimme more 😃
Sure is some clickbait thumbnail

Sorry but Hershey’s chocolate doesn’t taste tangy lol
just about any European chocolate is better than anything that Hershey's makes
Granted BUT it was made so the average person can afford it. Still pretty good
😂So what is “European “ chocolate made from? Pinto beans?
@@Mike-tu7uw if you're that dumb then you don't really deserve an explanation

@@teamskeet2006 Nice cop out answer. In other words you don’t know what you’re talking about 😂.
What they make is not chocolate.
The regular stuff, no it’s not, I agree with you. But they make the Golden Almond bar which is more like the quality it had a hundred years ago.
Then don’t eat it asshole.
I hate eating chocolate...it tastes sweet and a bit bitter, very hard to eat.
kkk
