My dad owns a fortuner, but here i gotta give it to the pajero when it comes to offroading. The fortuner's suspension is precise and it makes the onroad driving experience pleasant and smooth, but the pajero has independent suspensions which is purely built for off roading, though the fortuner too has it's own benchmark at it's segment, but it's defenitely the pajero that stands out of the two when it comes to offroad.
The Endeavour was not big as you always say. It is just long because of the wheel at the back but not as big, tall and wide as the Fortuner and Pajero.
Does India get a different model Pajero to other countries? That is the weirdest looking Paj that I've ever seen. I have the DiD NT model and it's a knockout by comparison. All over a fun review though.
If you really need to go to jungle and need SUV that you can relayed on, ford endeavor is the best bet next is pajero just because pajero is older. Ford suspension and engine is build like a rock, true is not as comfortable as fortuner or xtrail, but you can be assure that it will not broke a tie rod or couple if you go hard mudding. The 4x4 low range is excellent. I have been going through jungle with fortuner and endeavor, this i can tell you that if you got stuck in mud in fortuner, don't push as hard as if you are in endeavor. Fortuner broke it tie rod in the process and it is as good as dead if you are in the jungle..we end up staying for 2 days just to get the spear parts while it was fetch by endeavor. Even the toyota guys from the dealer cannot say anything..

Power train is solid built and is a beast with that V6 4.0 under the hood. Nissan has had serious quality issues since 2005, specially with anything that has CVT. Don't ask how I know.

ok so your saying that the fortuner is not better than the pajero, now.. the fortuner is based on the hilux, which arguably the most reliable pickup in the world, and what was it supposed to do.. the whole road seemed fine.. even the muddy section, the ford some how got off the track maybe because your not supposed to go off roading fast, because you loose control. from what i saw it was a normal country road, so of course the nissan would have made it..
Toyota makes the best off road vehicles hands down, ask any Afghan or even American special forces on how Hilux and Land Cruisers out run the Hummer H1! Sure you can buy more luxury but a Toyota will always get you home.
