There is an easier way to restore reputation. Step 1: find enemy station, destroy any hostile ship around it. Step 2: build a lot of cheap ships without shields, park them in 40 km range around the station. Step 3: sell them to the enemies of the station and destroy them immediately. Repeat step 3 until you can trade.
how do you sell the enemies of the station
I did destroyers and it goes really quickly and only used their enemies I had over +20 rep with me.
I have a problem. Exept the Bucanears i ally to all the other faction so.... how i do this method. Second the Bucanears dosnt have criminals near their stations

There is an audio cue when a criminal deploys. Easiest way to recognise this is to go to a friendly station and start scanning it. You'll hear a little EE-OOOO sound, and then the station manager may announce "illegal wares/ data on drone" or "stop that criminal !"
This doesn't work for pirate factions as they don't prosecute criminals. Best way is to trade with these.
If you want to edit this video: set turrets only attack your target, or even disable or they will keep hitting the enemy faction!
Excellent Video. Another option is to not do any of the *LONG missions for any faction* then you can stay Friends with most of the "Normal" Factions in the Universe.
However, most people will not do this because they will do the missions, make very little money only to get a Negative Rep with that faction's enemy because of some crazy long mission.
Some of the missions requires you to find parts that are very very rare only to get paid penuts at the end of the mission.
you dont have too worry about -30 if you wipe them out ;)

If you want to patch something, how about putting the sign for quest giver to the names of people on the station that give quests?
Having to speak to people only to find out they have none (sometimes despite them being mentioned on the map) is frustrating.
Going by said map would mean you constantly have to remember different names which can get really annoying with for example Teladi names.
Why not give them an exclamation mark on top of their head when one walks close? Or that yellow sign that is shown on the map.
Shot a bunch of smaller, S-sized Xenon near a ZYA station, when I had the base -15 reputation.
It really wasn't many, I was in my Katana and I killed like 3 Xenon Ms or so.
Instantly gave me +13 reputation.
Now not every sector borders a Xenon sector, but when the encounters system far outside of the sector center spawns in Xenon, just lure them chasing you close to an enemy station (afaik something like within 50 kilometers is already enough) and kill them, that gets them to register the kills in your favor. It probably also works out with Kha'ak.
Is there a way to get the factions to fight each other once a game is already started? No one is really fighting in mine at all other than xen
If there was no update with the 5.0 version All kind restore reputation should not work by -30 Rereputation. -30 is a point of no return but with -29 and higher it works

I don't know if you use mods, but is there any way to build a fleet without needing stations? I like doing deadair scripts and the headhunter mod so I can get credits per kill etc, but trying to save for destroyers to have them get annihilated by first K they see...
Or should I not be using fleets with multiple destroyers, only like 1 and all other ships following them in specific roles, like frigates set to attack fighters and bombers to bombard etc
I don't know if you use dynamic war mod etc, but I wanna play that as a merc is the goal, but that means anything I can't "move" like a station isn't an option.
Find a station where a K is attacking it or even kite a K to within range of the station and destroy it. Each are worth +10 rep.
Is that only if you're at war with them? I've killed many K and I destroyers around stations and still took a while to get to 20+ rep. I wound up using mining ships for that. But I was never at war with these factions.
@@p5eudo883 You're always at war with Xenons but unless they've changed things recently it worked for me back when I posted it. Sucks if they did. Was a blast kiting K's, some times several at a time. Haven't played X4 for months though.
I usually camp by xenon sector gates. If there are no xenon left in your X universe. They still spawn at edge of sectors. Some Factions are just not going to play nice.

I had no idea that is possible. I once messed up my configuration and my lasertowers started to shoot down Terran ship in masses and i did not recognize it for hours. I had to change the reputation in the safe file to the original value.
Hi brother. Nice VIdeos. I currently have -14 REP with Agrom Federation, i made some missions for this and i kill some criminals near his stations but not change in REP.
It will take some time, don't get discouraged 💪 you will get better rep, but the further you are away from +-0, it will take longer
Excellent tip about using a freighter once the rep is good enough that they won't fire on traders.
For any faction where the rep is good enough that you can actually trade with them, you can farm reputation with a repeat order: Use a small, fast, cheap ship, and give it a repeat order to buy ideally a single Energy Cell from the target faction's factory, and sell it to a different factory of the target faction. In the order, be sure to set the buy price to max and the sell price to min - sure you will take a loss, but it's a single Energy Cell. If you can't find a route to trade an Energy Cell, obviously find some other ware, the important thing is that it ideally never stall due to lack of supply or demand so it keeps working while you are doing other things. And I seem to notice that trading at an actual trade station doesn't seem to give faction, so I suggest avoiding trade stations and sticking to factories or ship yards (unless you are satisfied that I am actually wrong about that).
Couriers also count as freighters and have fixed weapons so you can use them for this violent policing technique if the hostile faction rep is > -25.

I'll probably be using this method to boost my rep with HOP soon. I was going to farm them (piracy) for L and XL ships, but wow did they get powerful in my save. Kinda hard to cap a destroyer that has 6 more and a carrier around it. But I might just work on destroying their empire with cunning rather than brute force. Decisions decisions...

Honestly Egosoft should just implement reperations. Kinda like it is in reality. "Oh you want peace? Well pay us this amount of money and we'll accept this."

If my memory serves me right, then if you fly not on a military ship, but on a explorer or miner, then the faction will not attack you.
they will, it's just that for non-combat ships the threshold is higher. Collins even mention this when he suggests using a freighter if the reputation allows.

My question is why remove the negative rating? When they see a fully kitted Erlking, Asgard, Raptor, and a Syn coming at them all they do is run. Especially the Xenon K and HOP destroyers.
In my universe the HOP doesn’t exist, and soon the Argon will share the same fate. 🙃

Fallen Families is super easy to get... just make about 15 large miners and youll get there fast

About Syndicate Vigor, I don't find criminals, so I'm trying building a station to trade with them

Developers disabled this mechanic for pirate factions. So if you have finished vigor questline and you are still unable to take vigor missions, you can only fight them.
There is a mod that allows you to bribe a owner of a pirate station and fix reputation with a desire faction. Money solves some problems ;)
Pissed off the FAF and they have no stations. Can't fix that one lol
