Oh these hmong polygamous marriages stories, especially these so called "nom" ones.....xeeb txob thiab meem txom tiag tiag li os! I rarely hear about polygamous families who have great relationships with one another. It's very rare to hear one who is. What I don't understand too is why do hmong keep saying that it's the deceased parent(s) blessing to the children for them to get that life insurance $ or sunshine $. Ummm, if I paid that life insurance with my own $ then when my parents die, I'm just getting the return. If they died and left me what belonged to them, whatever it may be, a small fortune, gold jewelry, land, etc, then I would consider that a blessing. Whatever is left of the sunshine $ after covering the cost of the funerals, I will consider that a blessing from all the families and friends who chipped in.

What a big happy family. You seek what you sow. RIP to the first wife.

Hmong people and their Nom days. Smh. I suppose everyone is a Nom. So much Noms and that's why we lost the war!

I'm glad the hmong don't have a country because most of these "nom" are egotistical and mean spirited, maybe, I daresay, evil too. It's not like those old "noms" worked their way up to earn a certain level in the hmong "military or government". A lot are just given a status/title because they are somewhat educated or related to another "nom." Hmong noms are comical to me. We won't hear much about them anymore because most are dead and those left don't have many years left.

My fil married three wives, so I understand this well. He is dead, and the three wives and children no longer have any relationship.
