Took 2:30 before you started the movie and cut most of the funniest parts ( 29:00 ) waste time

Brian Cox from my home town in Scotland, one of the best character actors in the business.
I like how in the intro, you say they get up to shenanigans, without realizing that, in a roundabout way, they are probably the reason you just used that word. 😂
These guys also did BEERFEST, which I would recommend. Another fun movie.

A buddy of mine walked in a dive bar one night and there was only like 10 people in there, including the bartender… 4 of the people in there were actors that played Farva, Ramathorn, Mac, and Foster… just hanging out…. He said it ended up being g one of the most funny and fun nights ever. Said they were all super nice and a great hang. Took a bunch of pics too. 😂

YOU DIDN'T WATCH THE END CREDIT SCENE! You get to see what happened with the Farva and the school bus.
So, it turns out the majority of the syrup chugging scenes actually had the actors chugging real syrup. They apparently tried using thick iced tea at first and there are supposedly a few shots with iced tea but for the most part it's actual syrup

The movie was filmed in the Hudson Valley. The expressway was the Taconic near Fishkill.
As others have pointed out, don't sleep on the rest of their hits, my two other favorites being Beerfest and Slamnin' Salmon. Love their comedy!
I laughed so hard I almost choked watching this movie for the first time.
They did a sequel to this the other year and they managed to keep the funny.
Some of them actually cameo sort of as the characters in one of the remakes of Dukes of Hazzard.
Long ago, in the before times, some friends and I rented this from Hollywood Video on a lark without knowing anything about it. I've been a huge fan of BL since.

According to Jay Chandrasekhar, he and Erik Stolhanske actually did each drink an entire bottle of real syrup during the diner-fight scene. A bottle of syrup that size contains 300 to 350 grams of sugar, depending on brand and style. He said that within 30 minutes they both had headaches, blurry vision, and tremors. They thought about going to the hospital, but just decided to sleep it off.
All the main guys are know as Broken Lizard... Broken Lizard is an American comedy troupe that comprises Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske. They have MANY great comedy movies that you would LOVE!! Super Troopers 2, Beer Fest, Club Dread, The Slammin' Salmon and even did the 2005 comedy Dukes Of Hazzard. You really should check out more!!

When I was a kid in the 80s/90s we used to refer to an all denim outfit as a Canadian Tuxedo. I've no idea where we heard it but I'm nearly 1000% certain we heard it from the adults
If you liked this kind of stuff, check out The Dukes of Hazard (2005). The guys in this movie directed and are cast in it with Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, and Willie Nelson as main characters.
4:02 the flashlight being on during a day time traffic stop is one of the funniest small of details in the movie. They got flashlight on 😂😂😂

Having spent birth to 25 as a Vermont resident and Maple Syrup fan, I evidently missed out on the syrup chugging.
Also dated the daughter of a retired VSP detective who was also a sergeant in the Marines. He was basically a hard version of Walter Mathau...and would have appreciated this. RIP.
Broken Lizard was the Monty Python of the early 2000's great comedy troupe.
The beginning of this movie is epic!

They were sweaty during the intro because they were hotboxing, meaning the three of them were smoking with the windows up (not something I would do while driving, especially as a teenager).

The guy in the car when they do the meow bit is comedian Jim Gaffigan. Super Troopers 2 is pretty good also you should watch it sometime. All the Broken Lizard movies are golden, Slammin Salmon, Club Dread and Beerfest are all worth watching.

Great background update, I was thinking maybe pivot your setup just a bit so the lights and shelves frame you (as if you need anything else suggesting you are an angel like a halo of light around you) instead of one of the light strings and the door. Great reaction to one of the best comedies of the 21st century! As others have mentioned, Beer Fest is an amazing comedy movie, and they made Super Troopers 2. I haven't had a chance to watch Super Troopers 2, but I can't imagine this team made a bad movie.

Super Troopers is great and I think still the best movie from the Broken Lizard troupe.
Ah this film is a classic. I also recommend "Broken Lizard's Club Dread" - which has a fair bit of the same cast in it, and is also hilarious and parodies slasher films. Not quite in the way that "Scary Movie" series did, however. It does it in its own way.

Not sure if it holds up but when i was in college my friends and i really loved BEERFEST by these same guys. Might need to be in a group of drunk college kids to love it?
