I actually had a lot of trouble connecting with the lead 😅 you always manage to teach me new things! Thanks Billy!
Glad to help out, simple tips are always the best. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Tough conditions Billy glad to see you got a few out.
Me too, thanks Brother 😁👌
Super fishing Billy, you always come up with the goods. Love to catch a ray that size 🐟🇳🇴
Thanks Chris, your day will come brother! See you on the beach 😁👌
Fantastic job Billy
Thanks Brother 😁👌
well done buddy. got to love the summer weather eh 🤣
Funny guy🤣 thanks Brother 😁👌
Congratulation, that is a nice fish. Take care my friend👍
Thanks Brother, same to you 😁👌
Entertaining video Billy as always. On your dingle dangles, an alternative suggestion when its hard and stratchy to start, the fish are biting finicky go for a much smaller bait.
Still stick with the dangle rig overall trace set up, though change the sinker line to sliding via a swivel on main body now converting it to a version of our UK short sliding trace rig.
Use smaller strong wire circle 3/0, 150lb dacron line for dangle body with plain loop tyed on end for lead to clip too. Lose the beads and use standard non floatation foam on dacron to build around a much smaller compact bait.
Now you have a South African dingle dangle scratching rig, still capable of hooking and landing big fish. Was shown this version by competition shore anglers in Namibia, to catch large double kg white steenbras at range feeding on top the sandbank, that were ignoring our bigger baits, and biting very tentative.
By the way im Not trying to teach you how to eat eggs, l know you study their methods of fishing, and have adapted thier good points into improving ours. Done same myself for years, took my first Norway shore double cod, on a non return slider brought back from Namibia and a whole mackerel bait back in 2007.
Hi David. Thank you for the import, the purpose of my bait is to stop the small fish from getting on the hook ! I was there to catch the biggest fish I could. Thanks brother glad you enjoyed the video 😁👌
Nice one billy, love your vids 👌 rods look nice mate, need to see them in the next video 👍
Thanks Brother, the rods are ABU SOVEREIGN XP. But they don't make them anymore 😁👌
Billy, I absolutely love these big 'BAAHDOOSCH' bait videos. Great work brother
My too John, if they keep fishing for a long time, and get the job done! Thanks Brother 😁👌

Lovely video billy, Appreciate the effort you put in for are viewing and the good fun for yourself lad always but stay safe tight lines and you and one other person has convinced me to switch to multipliers now got my first penn 525 mag 4 last week absolutely in love with it love from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Hi Jordan. Glad you liked it, and hope the 525 treats you well. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Yesssss ❤ billyfishing vid with bait ! 😊 all hail the 525 etc 😅
Damn! I forgot again 🤣 all hail the 525. Thanks Brother 😁👌
another excellent video , thanks Billy :) and a great tip about tackling the deep water to avoid the lead coming back to you. I was only discussing the same thing here last month after trying many things to avoid this , i even thought of designing a lead that would propel your weight away from you when it hit the water but this doesnt seem a possibility (yet) Sorry i missed you in Stavanger and Haugesund last time (hopefully one day i get to meet the great man himself ) Tight lines Billy and remember "your skins waterproof " 🤣🤣
Hi bud. Glad you liked it! Yes I struggled with the lead weight regaining the distance you cast in the early years in Norway. When I fist marks of 200 metres and more, it could take 10 or 15 minutes just to get the lead to bite. But then I woke up 🤣 simple things usually work the best. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Man I've really gotten *hooked* to your videos, and I've also learned something. Usually I yeet my lures 250m out into the ocean, instead of just keeping it simple, and staying within the 15-20m depth range. Gonna try this on tomorrows fishing session!
Sometimes I will fish as deep as 50m but that's not very often! Normally if the water is very deep, I will fish bait instead. And even then it is slow going! Thanks Brother 😁👌
Billy, you never cease to amaze me. You keep going when many of us lesser mortals would have given up. Thanks for a great video 👍🏾👍🏾
What can I say, Garrie! I love my fishing 😅 thanks Brother 😁👌
Love the bait sessions . Click click click nice ray ❤ I think you should start selling those hats , i want one
Hi Eimear! Thank you so much for joining up, if you really want one of these hats I will send you a link, much cheaper than buying it from me 🤣 see you on the beach 😁👌

Hey Junky. Yeah the weather has improved a bit now. That's hope the fishing does too, thanks Brother 😁👌

Thanks Croc Norris, it's not too bad you get used to it after a while. Rediscovering light switches, is a real eye opener 🤣
@@Billyfishing_watch 😂😂😂, I’m sure
My favorite thing about Billyfishing is the filming/editing. I always feel like I'm right there with you getting soaked and reeling in some big denizen of the deep. Good Stuff!
Thank you so much! My vicarious fishead friend. Glad you liked it Brother 😁👌
Привет! Ты настоящий мужик! У нас в Мурманске (Россия) рыба гораздо меньше! Спасибо за видео! И за твои советы.
Anytime my Russian brother! I hope the fishing improves for you 😁👌
Howya the Billyfella? Hope you're well mate. It's always a good day when you upload! Some cracking fish my man, as ever
Thanks Brother, you can't beat some nice big rays😁👌
woow !
Thanks Brother 😁👌
Putting in the hours in the pissing rain, that's worth a like!
You know it brother! Much appreciated 😁👌
Cracking thornbacks😀great effort in miserable weather!😀well done,Billy!!!👍🎣🎣🎣xx
Thanks so much Angela! Long as the fishing is good who cares about the weather 😁👌
Yet another stunning video from you billy ..
But I didn't expect anything else.. you have always given people information about why you have used different rigs for the areas you are fishing. And what species you are targeting...
For this alone it's ten out of ten...to many times have people show videos of themselves catching fish but don't explain what baits and rigs were used ..???
Anyway billy keep safe and well mate.
Thank you so much Wayne! Video should have a point, instead of just action. Much appreciated Brother 😁👌
Great video Billy as usual 👍
Much appreciated! Mikeh 😁👌
A 40lb thornback is huge , nice video again billy 🎣
Hi Arch, can you imagine the size of that fish! The guy that caught it, most have thought it was a common skate! Thanks Brother 😁👌
@@Billyfishing_watch the norwegian record for thornback ray is 10,75 kg, about 25ibs
Awesome video Billy.
Thanks Brother 😁👌
Hello billy I love your videos could you do a trip to the Shetland islands sometime
If I can raise the cash,Sure! What can I catch there except cod?
@@Billyfishing_watch you can catch loads of saithe and pollack, haddock, whiting, flatfish like plaice and lemon sole and halibut and skate loads of species it’s better to fish by boat for a lot of it though probably depends on where in Shetland you are though
And lots of mackerel at some times of the year it’s a lot better fishing from spring to the end of October start of November I would say
@LeeAnderson-e5p fantastic variety, bottom fish from the shore! Thanks Brother 👌
@@Billyfishing_watch I’ve never catched a haddock or whiting or skate from shore but I’ve catched plenty of saithe and pollack and flatfish I’m sure somewhere in Shetland there would be though
Weather man never knows the weather😂😂😂
Nope! 🤣 Thanks Brother 😁👌
🗣️Billy Raaaaay Ålesund!!!💪🏻😎🤙🏻
Thanks Michael, much appreciated Brother 😁👌
Nice big old thornie mate! But listen, I've got some bad news for you Billy... not sure how to break it to you but, Mystic Meg is very very dead. It must have been a surprise to her too, she didn't see it coming.. 😬😅🤙🏻
Damn! Who am I going to get my weather report from now 🤣 thanks Pete 😁👌
@Billyfishing_watch you could just try making it up, pretty sure that's what the bloody meteorologists do! 😅🤙🏻
Nice. Good spot. Do you find all the places by you're self? Or do you get some of some other?
Hi Pim! I find 99.9% of the spots myself, this year a friend put me on some lemon sole. But that is the first time! Glad you liked it Brother 😁👌
t'envois du courage de France ^^
Thanks my French brother, see you on the beach 😁👌
Piggskate! Are their wings edible like our local varieties here in New Jersey?
Yes they are Brother, thanks bud 😁👌

What shed?
@@Billyfishing_watch the one behind you with the holes in the roof where your weight went through, it was a joke
Sometimes you see what I don't! I did not notice it 😅 thanks brother 😁👌
