WG always does this with new ships they want these ships to be so invincible and over powered during early access that it attracts people to want to spend money at it.. a few months down the line when demand and novelty drops it will get nerfed and its citadel elevated
Ofc, they also want people to buy them right now to dominate Tier IX/X. Buying a tech tree ship is absolutely insane but apparently some still do (set aside content creators maybe)
This clearly didn't apply to the IJN CLs...
@I_NAMELESS_I - JGSDF Must not have for the British Battlecruisers either, because during early access man where those things fire magnets for me. Would get caught on fire with them more than any other ship I use. Now I hardly get fires and slap almost everything out of existence with St. Vincent.
@@i_nameless_i-jgsdf WG is in a tick tock pattern with new TTs rn. Shitter line on the tick, busted line on the tock, french supercruisers were underwhelming at best, british BCs were really REALLY strong, IJN CLs are turbo stinkers, american hybrids actually powercreep the monty line into oblivion. And it looks like they’re going to keep it up because the pan american CLs look kinda poopy

I am 100% CERTAIN, NO ONE ASKED FOR THESE SHIPS! Must be the "silent majority" that asked for them. The sad part is "Battle Carriers" are just BETTER then battleships. The bombers are just free damage since AA ain't gonna kill them, you still got those American 6 16inch guns on the front to fight with since the rear turrets have bad angles, and being PART CV your AA is better as well.
Nice to see their armor is weak, but the Citadel requires a Submarine to even hit it so, LOAD THE HE BOYS!
They have less guns, they don't get the US heal and the flight deck is all superstructure making them easy to farm
I ran into a bunch of these in blimp mode yesterday and just farmed them. They seem irrelevant and my guess is nobody will be playing them in a month when the next gimmick is released 😂
they aren t that powerfull, i pfere kearsage above dela, plane are nice for help spotting and some dmg, but they are fragile ( well i don t play cv often so not good at dodging) at best i often only lose 1 plane, but if near 2 ship or AA ship and cv your plane won t lat long enought. kearsage rocket plane are harder to aim but can fire from a bit farther too

This abomination can do 33 knots, with its citadel entirely below water - but they can't give the New Mexico and next US BB's more buffed engine modification to do a decent speed? Why? New Mexico and Colorado actually have to face Nebraska and Delaware if bottom tiered - we really gonna have "fun" grinding them.
dont mind me chugging at you in my Delaware doing basically 38kt with the brisk skill. I might of gotten the ship for only 1k dubs but i would rather they never been added

How do you switch between ship and plane loint of view? For instance you launch planes but want to switch back to fire ship guns. Then get back to the planes
And therein lies the problem. It's easy to do that kind of damage you said. Not commenting on the absolute wrongness of the ship being in the game at all, it has too many pluses. An underwater citadel, the maneuverability, the planes. I just hope the desire for the next new thing doesn't overwhelm people's common sense. Yeah, I know. Not much hope of that. 🙄 The best analogy I can give is that the inclusion of these abominations is very much like World of Tanks when they started introducing those unicorn tanks. Tanks with two barrels and other nonsense outside of the pure fantasy of them. This is the World of warships equivalent.
I think I’ve made my position on these ships very clear over the course of their development. But if you missed those videos. I think they’re ridiculous additions that very few, if any, asked for.

i have also the dela with luck i found the shell miss a lot ( haven t put the module yet), plane take 10 second from take of to be able to be able to bomb., i also took the accelaration module, i found it slow to get to speed.
my question for sea lord : seeing the citadel the only real way to cit that ship is with AP bomber, wish one could do it?

I now have the Nebraska, my second CV-ish, (Immelmann being the first.)
The Nebraska, along with the Immelmann, will never leave port.
Nebraska is N of Kansas and W of Iowa, so it helps with my American BB geographical collection, connecting Kansas to Iowa, since I have not been fortunate enough to get the Missouri. Eventually I will get the Louisiana, next to Texas. :)
Except Nebraska is a hybrid BATTLESHIP, not aircraft carrier. When will you learn hybrids play just like regular battleships?
@@nicholasd.6515 Hybrid means it is also a CV. So, to answer your question, I know it but I'm never going to experience it due to the CV part of hybrid. I don't play CVs, period.
Problem whit all the plane module skills is that you need to give up more usefull stuff for a bb. Seems we need hybrid captain skills. Imagin being able to put ur cv captain on the hybrid bb.
I was a tier 7 dd and came in second. The person playing this sat in the back and he said he was an aircraft carrier. He scored second to last. How would you play it predominantly? Like a cv or a bb?
like kearsage a BB ( more a front one like french one i woudl say, not really missing the rear turret), launch plane betwen a main gun reload, try not stay in open water to long ( passing behind island when launching plane for exemple)
Playing these like CV is as ridiculous as playing the Dutch Cruisers only using their air strikes. These things are like 90% BB and 10% CV.
arrr this ship do damage from everywhere and cannot counter play with those plane ,every 2 minutes this is unfair!!!
What next? Make a hybrid-fantasy ship that also is a SUBMARINE! Launch airplanes, shoot a few salvos from guns, submerge and travel at 36 knots under water! Then shoot endless, homing torpedoes!

Very odd, a mix of pre war ideas with 3" DP guns and A-1 Skyraider aircraft. I await a new ship with a pulse lazer main battery with trebuchet depthcharge launchers.
But hybrid BBs, hybrid CA, hybrid DD I guess that only leaves a hybrid SS. So will the IJN I-400 be far away?

KindDavid has starred in several randoms the he fell into while mates and I were div. Each time we would single him out to protect from reds and escort, because he is so kind. And David. If KindDavid is red, we allow him to sink us or try to keep our team from doing so to him.

"Caliber" refers to the bore diameter of a gun. Iowa's guns are 16-inch caliber. The length of a gun barrel can be expressed in multiples of the bore diameter, and those 16-inch Mk 7 guns have barrels 800 inches long, so the Iowa's guns are 50 calibers long. Her secondary guns are 5"/38s, so their barrels are 38*5 = 190 inches long. It's a little confusing because the old nomenclature, "a sixteen-inch gun of fifty calibers in length" has been shorted to "A sixteen-inch fifty caliber gun". The advantage of using calibers to express the barrel length is that it tells you (approximately) what muzzle velocity (and thus, range and armor penetration) you can expect from the gun, regardless of how big it is. In this case, you can easily see that the 16" guns are high-velocity weapons for long range shooting and armored targets, while the 5" secondaries are relatively low-velocity guns with "floaty" ballistics and poor armor penetration.
What I want to know is, when are they gonna fix Mod Station?
The range finders (the dumbo ears) on the rear turret would 100% impact the flight deck structure when you turn it to the sides. A rare fail from the glorious art department…

I like how they finally added the Skyraiders. The skyraiders should be the top planes on midway but instead they put the shitty failed predecessor to the Skyraiders (BTD Destroyer) above them.

I love kearsarge more than these because of more guns that means more alpha and the delay in the rocket attacks make spotting easy just like sniping I use them a lot to snipe CVs and if it happens to be in my gun range then okay shoot.
So we get this paper abominations but still no sign of Furious in her half carrier configuration with an 18 inch gun. That ship should just be silly enough people forgive it being put in the game.

Ok some of us have the PREMIUM Kearsarge which: (1) has Zero Fighter Planes; (2) Zero Plane Engine Boost; and (3) Zero Air-Strike Depth Charge. I would like all that coal i spent on Kearsarge back. 😠
For the first time ever, Delaware was my first bundle when i logged in, so 1k dubs for a t9 was to good to pass. Its not a terrible ship imo, the planes die fast, but the free spotting is busted

I just got her out of a Bundle as well, the planes are not too OP tbh and you can still do really decent damage. As someone who is a big Iowa enthusiast (Delaware is basically an Iowa with planes) I gotta say that she belongs to my favorite ships in the game already! I rarely make use of her planes as I prefer playing her just like I play the Iowa!

This is why I stop playing after 6year there to many planes in this game and it not fun anymore trying out war thunder naval for now
ONE minor thing that bug me with that ship is : the rear turret even beeing smaller and less gun , take as long at the triple gun one... make no real sense
Sadly, with the recent waterline giving us an opportunity to see what is coming this year, i can solely say that i will quit the game this year.
Funniest part is that i'm not an old player, i started playing only 18 months ago, but i'm already bored to see where the game is heading.
I feel like everything they do (or want to do) i attract more and more people playing the game and spending money, without realizing that every choice they take does the exact opposite.
I hate absolutely everything that is going to be added, hybrid ships, radar+smoke dds, more supershit T11s, more bullshit subs .... thanks but... no thanks.
They are killing their own game, which we all enjoyed at some point, but now i feel like almost everyone is just at the verge to quit.
I'm waiting for them to do what they did with WoT and add premium ammo (I played that game since closed beta and quit just after they introduced the ammo), it wouldn't surprise me.
I am also a new player 10months ish but I am still a big fan of the game. I am also free to play so I just ignore the premium stuff.
@@gow1044 I got your point, i'm also a freemium user but ignoring premium stuff is not relevant here.
We know that smoke+radar dds, hybrids ships, more T11s, more subs, are coming into the game for free. Yes at first they are premium, during the early access, but after that they are all available for everyone, including us, freemium users.
My point is, we cant ignore stuff that is coming to the game (even if you don't have them). Look at T11s or subs, you can't just ignore they are here during a battle because they have, most of the time, a huge impact on gameplay (i'm thinking about T11 CVs like united states, or annapolis, or any subs) because they are very powerfull in good hands.
May be today we can ignore this, but what will happen in a few months ? We can't tell and that's what i'm feared of.
Just closing our eyes is not enough, because it will have a direct impact on your gameplay, do you see what i mean ?
Imagine you play a destroyer, anyone of them today. Then imagine this in 6 months, when new destroyers will be added with smoke+radar, what will happen ? Well, they will kick your ass, while you can't do anything because they can see you and you can't see them. That honestly doesn't seem fair nor fun to me... and since they will be even more powerfull, why would anyone bother playing any older dds ?
This was just an example of what i meant before, i hope you get my point.
Again, i'm the same as you, i'm a freemium user and kept ignoring this kind of stuff, but i think we won't be able to ignore it anymore in the very near future..

Fires may suck, but so does flooding. I would have taken rudder shift to make dodging easier. I notice you didn't take vigilance plus either a couple of ones (like fire and one other) or AA/ASW. Concealment (IMO) isn't that good for a BB.
IT SHOULD NOT HAVE IOWA GUNS. It should have North Carolina guns. Thats the only problem I have with it.
T8 Nebraska has the NC guns and hull, T9 Delaware has Iowa guns and hull and T10 Louisiana has the Montana guns and hull. Like it or not the line is at least logical when compared to the fast American BB line.
@@waynelawrence5220 not when you have bombing planes that almost set a fire every drop. There should be a minor price to pay for the ability to launch consistantly damaging planes.
@@joshtheking1772 Well that's why you have fewer guns than the corresponding sister ships in the other tech line. I'm not saying its right but that's one way WG decided to balance this new line. Everybody is going to have an opinion but to me it would not make sense to put NC guns on an Iowa or Montana hull.

I love my abomination tech tree line. delaware has been pretty fun for me, played consecutively for 12 hours yesterday. best part came when i qued with a malta, lousiana and a kearsarge on my team. ♥
I do draw the line. I will not play these abominations even if they gave me one free. All the coins I get in game just go for credits. I do not like these stupid unreal monsters. I dont want to even see them in game. On the plus side in a cruiser I had the joy of sinking two kearsarges in a single game yesterday....Im not so good they were just dumb.
