1. I think it’s the switches that make the trains derail. 2. You can straighten the road. You just need to click on “straighten spline” on the track menu. The road spline is in the “spline” section in the “objects” menu. 3. You can change the haze in the options settings when you click on the game icon on your desktop. Just lower the “good weather fog” in surveyor, and driver in the menu. This is NOT in the game, but in the menu before you play. 4. The railroad crossings in this game are in the objects menu. 5. You can change from realistic mode to DCC mode in the settings when viewing routes. You can also enable and disable autopiloting on trains. Here’s something that I’d hate to brag about: I actually managed to get UTC, TRS2004, TRS2006, TRS2009WBE, TRS2010EE, and TRS2012. I got Trainz 2012 off of steam, 2009 and 2010 in a 2-pack, and an extremely dated 3 CD-ROM disk collection named Trainz: The Complete Collection. The 3-pack contains 2006, 2004, and UTC. I don’t plan on getting 2019 or A New Era, because I like it simple.
If a switch is switched right, but the switch isn’t turned left, and one of your trains crashed. The switches need to be switched the opposite way, so I recommend you check your switches.
3:55 That's because Ultimate Trainz Collection never came with free roaming camera. That wasn't a thing until Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 became a thing. The closest thing you can get to watching a train go by at a static perspective would be pressing F2 to view the junction at a static display, and pressing 3 for some camera views which may have a static perspective.

I wish that the mobile version of trainz had as wide of a selection of engines and rolling stock as this. But at least it has a single steam locomotive
Side note: at 9:24, if you look, one of the vans/boxcars is at an angle over the points. The reason your train derailed was because the points were set away from the mainline, and that van/boxcar was on the points, turning away from the mainline, while still coupled to the other wagons Th Santa fe train at 9:27 also derailed because the points were set against the train and at a relatively sharp turn

Hey man, I really enjoyed this review. This version of the game seems to be really really buggy compared to the newer ones that have been released recently. I think you'd be happy with Trainz: A New Era. I subscribed to your channel.
Cool, the main reason why I like Trainz is because most if not all trains are real and it's a fun game, also if you want steam engines you should get the newer titles like Trainz 12 and TANE(Trainz A New Era) or download some trains in the DLS or any other Trainz train site (there's not really that much for UTC)
@@susanablas5281This was disproven actually. I have Ultimate Trainz Collection with add-ons on it, and I can very well say that it does support steam engines.
I think I first heard of trainz at the age of 3 or 4 maybe from watching the videos of the game on RUclips but my first game as a little boy was train driver journeys which is the same thing as trainz but for mobile devices even though at the time we had trainz driver for mobile devices as well
I actually have a bunch of steam engines downloaded on my copy of Trainz Ultimate Edition. I tried installing a Thomas character but it didn’t install right.
I love Trainz Simulator. I got the android port around the age of 9, back when I was still naive and didn't know better, I have always dreamed on getting Thomas The Tank Engine one day when I played the game. But alas, I didn't, because achieve my dream. because Thomas was a apk by Thomas fans. I later got Trainz: a new era when I was 12, and I manged to retrieve my dream I've always wanted by downloading an apk on Sodor Island 3D when the old site still had a few engines. I checked out the app store to see if they had Trainz Simulator, but alas x2, they were all deleted except for that one crappy spinoff Trainz Trouble. Hopefully NV3 games finish their new Trainz android port for all of the phone/tablet stores, and hopefully they will add in more steam trains than before. It is an underrated train driving sandbox game that deserves more love.
