  • It managed to warm up to 4°F today, so the Helion took a flight.
Unfortunately I landed early due to an overheated battery warning in the Goggles 2.
Has anyone else experienced this when using your G2 goggles in very low temps?

Overheating...in 0° ..That makes no sense ...that makes no sense at all. Very cool footage...Does that thing have sensors.?

      Yes... it senses FEAR. 😆
But seriously... no sensors like your mini Jess.

So my gopro batteries freeze up in the cold. I tried using the USB power on the helion but it was stopped recording a few min into flight. Run into this issue yet?

@CRAGLORD I know mt mini 3 pro batteries HATE the cold....have had batteries go from 35% to 7% in a mater of seconds without warning.

@CRAGLORD in my bench review of the Helion I touch briefly on the USB port and how I lost power while using it. I'm still not sure what the reason is??? As far as using batteries in my gopro, I mostly use the Enduro battery, which is more cold resistant and provides longer run time. I haven't had any issues while using that specific battery.

Yes! I had my goggles 2 battery overheat warning also in cold higher altitude. It was so strange, almost popped up immediately I changed the power cable and grounded that specific battery, hasn’t popped up since…
