For me this has been a complete game-changer. My aim has vastly improved. Especially on apex legends. I feel like I have a lot.more control on where I place the reticle. Us controller players need all the help we can get because aiming with your thumb is so limited compared to aiming with a mouse.
What are your settings? I just got a set of precision rings and I'm on 400 yaw and 220 extra yaw right now because the rings make my right stick feel alot slower. Just looking for other opinions
I made one out of high density foam in 5 minutes. The type of foam that goes around a pipe that you can buy at hardware stores or foam stores. I used a dime and cut around it, cut a hole in the middle, popped it on. Works perfect, for $0, Since I already had the foam. Almost any type of foam will work as long as it’s not super soft.
As someone who likes the balance of quick looking and small precise adjustments, these are a game changer. Having switched to the Gamesir G7 after a great GAMER HEAVEN review, these are perfect for the Gamesir G7, as it’s a very responsive controller. Combined with the G7, these rings, and a kontrol freek tall stick, I barely touch my Scuf Instinct Pro anymore.
Why not just put the precision rings on the Scuf Instinct Pro instead of using the 2 rear button, wired, budget bracket G7? Nothing wrong if you prefer the G7, just it's a $40 gamepad and the Instinct Pro is a $230 wireless pro controller.

I'm coming from a ps4 that I loved, havent owned a Xbox in over 10 years but I'm really glad with my purchase it will definitely do its job until I get a ps5. Series S is awesome!

Out of curiosity I’m going to give these a shot either way. I always noticed a difference in tension in the sticks back from the PS3 days. I always liked the tension on the PS3 sticks, but obviously just adjusted to the subsequent ones. So let’s see how it goes

You definitely need to up your sensitivity up by one or two and there’s obviously resistance your thumb has to get used to, but overall it worked surprisingly well. I still need more time with them of course, but I did some rounds of Aim Lab stuff and my scores were significantly increased. Time will tell.

In tracking my progress on AimLab I definitely saw an improvement and I believe it translated to Warzone. However, there is an adjustment period; it’s like lifting weights for your thumb muscles so I would suggest taking a break for a day or two as not overstrain the muscle. You also need to up for sensitivity by 1-3 to fully experience it. Overall I like them, but I do find the thumb strain a bit annoying. I hope that’ll go away over time as I get used it.
On certain games it’s impossible to turn or look up fast enough on max sens with medium tension rings. Ima give the soft one a chance to see if those help
depends on the game and how the games sense work. for example on a game like fortnite having your sense around 50-65 with the hard tension works very well.

Ive played thousands and thousands of hours of competetive shooters and I feel like i need to try these. Despite always having high accuracy and being high elo. I have an issue that i never see anyone ever talk about. That being, periodically or occasionally when im aiming at someone, i tend to over-aim or rather have like a tic or impulde that shoots my crosshair across my screen and it makes me feel like a lunatic. Ive alwayd been looking for a problem to solve this, and despite putting an insand amount of time into strictly training my aim and accuracy in different ways and having an accuracy in the .01%. This has always been a persistent problem and I have never known how to fix the issue. Hopefully these can do me some justice by slowing down these "tics" i have lol

I'll say this right off the rip. They are absolutely amazing! I'm disabled and my hands shake really bad! Bad! Depending on what games I play, I'll switch to the medium rings, but most of the time, I use the softest. I have the freaks and the rings, and if you're having problems with COD, MLB The Show, basically fine tuning your aim, they rock!
Ive got them because at some point i developed a bad habbit of kinda 'flicking' the stick, which makes my character kinda do an extra step forwards, then back, or bounce a little? Hard to explain...but these stop that by I guess absorbing that extra 'bit'.??? 😅

Aren't these trash and basically just artificially make it so you can't hit the edge of your deadzone (thus your max input is slower than 100%). If you reduce your max deadzone with these on, they perform the same as having no ring on, but with a smaller range of motion.

just a warning to anyone with hand issues, these things 100% give you hand fantigue while youre learning to use them. you will be training youjrself not to jerk your sticks left n right, but to do that, you will be pushing against that tension the netire time. youll know its working when you want to tkae them off. up your sensitivity more and more until you need the tension
Couldn't this in theory be done with magnet's in hall effect gamepads? Why not have a switch with 3 setting of strength, force needed to push the thumb stick's against? Wouldn't that achieve the same effect without ya controller looking like its got burst coloured condoms on the thumb sticks?
what people forget to mention is you're actually supposed to use the extended sticks WITH the rings.. its a completely different feeling as the rings are much easier to push against. without a stick extension these rings dont do much other than lower the sensitivity. 8/8 with black ring is the same as 3/3 without a ring for example.

@@GamerHeavenOfficial I think he just means that a ring will introduce restricted movement and more tension, so upping the sensitivity in-game restores the type of movement you were used to before installing the ring.
In all seriousness I’ve never used those before. May or may not get them. I panic under aim, and over aim. But usually I hen I’m calm I do fine. In a way I feel like it would harm my flicks but improve my over flicking tendencies.

Honestly I’ve used these things and i found it annoying along with the lifted attached control stick my aim has always been good so I wouldn’t recommend it if your aim is pretty precise on a regular control stick

These things are basically useless .....you can use a higher sensitivity but you cant micro adjust your shots ..It basically equals to high sensitivity with a high deadzone ..You can simply just in game change to low sensitivity and low deadzone .
Low sensitivity in most FPS games = RIP Precision rings are a good way to help you bump up your sens settings and genuinely improve your game. But I have found only the softer rings really work for me, and the harder ones are just a tad too restrictive. But there are definitely people who do a lot of trial and error and can use the harder ones. I think most casual players just won't like the feel of them at all.

Yea I use purple rings and had max sens. Had to go into my controllers settings app and change the deadzone and surprisingly was better
