I-95 in Miami is the absolute scariest drive you can have.I used to live down there and luckily this was not a highway I had to drive often. When I go down there to visit family even if I come down 95 I switch to the turnpike or the Sawgrass expressway. And then that stretch with the poles separating the Express lanes is the worst of the worst.
It annoys me when someone is slowly gliding in front of me with hesitation with no turn signal. I’ve used turn signals for years but now once someone puts their signals the cars will speed up. I have to look at the driver and stick my arm out.
I have driven in just about every major city in the USA, but South Florida has the worst drivers by far! I live in Lauderdale and commute to work down in Miami 5x a week. Just one trip from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, you can expect your average commute to be like this: 1. People know they are supposed to be in the far right lane of US-1 for at least a half mile in order to get on the 595; however, people will drive up to the last possible section of road and aggressively try to get in and cheat those who have waited patiently, or they will just pull up at the end and expect you to let them in. 2. You can expect a backup of traffic as soon as you get on I-95. 3. If they are signaling, that means they are just using their signal as lights to go with the beat of their music. If they aren't signaling, watch out!!! That means they will cut in front of you at any moment! 4. Semi-trucks and other slower vehicles will occupy the supposedly faster left lane of the road, further congesting the interstate. 5. There will be at least one, but typically more crashes between exit 22-16. 6. Exit 16's exit ramp will have a line of traffic at least one mile long and one of the two exit lanes will be blocked by an accident and emergency personnel. 7. Between exits 16 and 14, traffic is at a crawl. Yet, people will weave in and out a dozen times and still only be two cars ahead of where they would have been had they just stayed in their original lane. 8. Those coming off the Florida Turnpike will expect you to let them go from the far right lanes all the way to the far left in bumper to bumper traffic so they can take the express lanes. Most likely, one or both of the express lanes are already closed due to an accident, yet they take the express anyway and then they will go over the plastic poles and either cause or nearly cause another accident in the process. 9. There will be a stalled vehicle blocking a lane somewhere between exit 10 and exit 6. 10. Throughout the trip, motorcycles will split lanes and drive the line swerving in-between slow or stopped vehicles. 11. Exit 3 is much like the beginning. Everyone knows to be in the right two lanes for about 1.5 miles to get on 836, but lots will go in the regular lanes then aggressively cut you at the exit point. 12. You finally arrive near the work destination and realize you have to endure this all over again on the way home in just 8 hours.
I think the worst drivers in the us are all in NJ, I live in NY, and California too can’t drive at all. I drive on 1-95 all the time in NJ and CT they’re both pretty hard sections of the route
Actually many New Yorkers & New Jerseyans (who are now Floridians) are why Florida has some of the worst drivers. They have brought their horrible driving habits with them
NJ Turnpike near Newark Airport and passing through NYC going north is probably the worst and I've driven freeways all over the country. I've been from Maine to Atlanta on I-95, and nothing comes close to NJ Turnpike, except maybe the Capitol Beltway in DC, but I'm used to it now. As far as Florida goes, this part of Miami I-95 looks bad. I've driven on Florida Turnpike and I-75 and also the toll road going to Tampa - none as bad as this.
That's how it goes in NYC. I use my turn signal only after I've observed that it's safe to do so and taking it. In order words I use my signal to let you know I'm turning, I don't use it to ask for permission.
@@SL-pg4dhSame on the beltway in DC. I signal and change lanes at the same time. If you are too timid, you'll miss your exit bc people won't let you in.
I'll ask you what my friends ask me when I'm there about traffic and driving..." your first time in Southern Florida?".....you think it's bad in a car ...trying doing local deliveries there in a tractor trailer. I'm just a hick from farm town Michigan USA..if I can do it anyone can.
You’re not lying. I’ve been almost everywhere in the US. Miami is the absolute worst. They have no regard for human life. The worst city I’ve driven in bar none.
FINALLY, SOMEBODY GETS IT!!!!!👍👏💯 I have been saying this for decades that Miami, better yet South Florida has THE WORST drivers in the U.S.!!! It gets EVEN BETTER!!! Ever since the Brightline passenger train began operation, we've had accidents with this train like you would not believe!!!! Over 70 train strikes so far, I shit you not!!!! Vehicle and pedestrian strikes, why in the blue hell are we having so many accidents with this passenger train?! I-95 and the Palmetto Expressway is INSANE!!! You could not pay me to drive on those expressways, they have gotten too dangerous!!! You could not pay me just to commute into Miami PERIOD!!!!............end of story!!!! I am planning on moving into north Florida, near the Florida/Georgia state line. I am ready for the country living, I am finished with the city life!!!
The first time I drove over there I slowed other drivers down they where all pissed at me for not speeding lol it's a mad house in that city. The cops wouldn't even pull you over for speeding they would just flash the lights at you an shut them off to tell you to slow down. It's fast paced in Miami without a doubt. They got other things to worry about then speeding lol. Miami is wild at night tho be careful man. I'm sure you know all this tho lol
It's hard living in Miami. Like people not from Miami don't understand that it is a fast paced struggle in Miami. There ain't no other place in Florida that has that kind of lifestyle. Miami tries really hard to be like NYC or LA, and it will never be like it so they try to. I had to get out of there. At age 21 I moved out and never looked back. Now I can expect to live longer and save a lot of money.
How were you slowing other drivers down? Were you not going with the flow of traffic? That’s a rule of thumb, anywhere you go, if you don’t want people passing you left and right.
I take I-95 from exit 42 to exit 4 back and forth to work everyday because I'm too cheap to pay the turnpike tolls and it's really not that bad after a couple of weeks of getting used to it, but when it rains I never know of I'll make it home😂. Thankfully, the crazyness is contained within dade county.
Ohhh, definitely not Miami. Been there. Colorado is beyond measure as have the worst drivers in the Nation. Colorado drivers don’t use the turn until they start turning. They will risk life and limb just to get one car length ahead. You’ll be behind a car driving slow in the mountains, and when a passing lane comes, they will not move to the right, and speed up to keep others from passing, then return to their slow speed when the passing lane ends. Everyone tailgates. Even at 75 MPH. That’s why they lead the Nation in rear end collisions. Semi gravel trucks done sweep gravel off the sides and ends of the their trucks, so broken windshields are common on the Interstate highway. Don’t be surprised to see on pass you at 80 MPH, tarp flapping, gravel flying everywhere. Even better, gasoline tanker trucks will lead the way to get you well above 75 MPH on any major highway in Colorado. Parking is another one. Those parking divider lines mean nothing. You’ll think half the population have Handicap mirror tags, and you’ll see them miraculously healed, sprinting to the store. It’s a great day if you don’t see road rage. Colorado leads the nation in that category too. Speed limits in Construction Zones are for decoration, and means “drive faster, with caution” of course. Road construction signage is God awful. Colorado leads the nation in construction zone accidents too. I’ll stop there to keep things short…
This is so funny because it's true. It may not be "the most congested part of I95 but between Miami and Fort Lauderdale it is certainly the deadliest stretch of I95. No signals because the drivers use you as human shields to get on and off the interstate. Posted speed 65. 80mph is normal through Broward. This man is being funny but also very serious. This is great!!

It is pretty missed it much there live in Kendall, Florida for long time a ago 1996-2007 so changed a lot of drive traffics more than before? Almost here in Canada 🇨🇦
Central and South Florida has the worst drivers period. Not just Miami. It's a damn Florida problem, people need to slow their asses down. Politicians should come up with severe tough laws to hold reckless drivers accountable for their endangerment to others, and maybe that way they'll think twice before driving crazy like that.
I feel safer driving in Atlanta than Miami any day. Smh I mean it's so bad that people don't even stop for dogs crossing the street they rather run them over i mean i've seen it several times.

usage of turn signal in Miami is considered “weakness”. that’s an explanation I saw on social media, one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever read
I doubt that’s the actual reason. That comment was probably just a troll 😂
You should ask a real Miamian what they think about turn signals lol
@@ARUclipsChannelwithNoName I live in Miami and I’ve seen that comment on Miami social media “only in Dade”, and others 😂
