The second part of our trilogy of videos concerning the first war, the Titanomachy.
A ten year war amongst the Titans and Olympians, different generations of Greek Gods. Chronos, the leader of the Titans and ruler of the universe was challenged by his children, Zeus and the Olympians.
Very little is actually known about the Titans, as they were more a footnote to the gods of Greek Mythology. There was a poem dedicated the events of the Titanomachy, but it was lost to the sands of time, and so we have taken what we know to make this video.
Living Mythology is an attempt to entertain, relax and educate all in the one place. We are trying to forge narratives so that people can experience the religions and mythologies of the world as they were meant to be. Not as dry academic monoliths, but as living breathing tales and parables as experienced by the peoples who worshipped these beings, in an attempt to make sense of their own lives and the world around them.
This channel is in its infancy, so we hope to improve and develop it as we gain more experience.
All of the tales are taken from very conflicting traditions across many centuries, so there will be many a moment when decisions need to be made to create a more cohesive narrative. If we present something that seems to be in contrast to details, rest assured we have researched many forms of the traditions and come to the conclusions we have done to form the videos.
There will NEVER be total agreement on any of these narratives due to the history and differing ways they developed over the centuries.
These videos are for entertainment and an easy gateway to the subject. If you wish more academic details then please direct your attention to the wide source material and others who perform those types of academic video essays.

The voice acting is awesome. each sounds and feels as invested as the character they portray. And they say Zeus' name with such hatred
Gotta say, when Baldemort said “Welcome…,” at the 9 minute mark, I half expected to hear “…gentle listeners. I am Baldemort, your faithful servant.” 😂
I knew he sounded familiar that's our guy from Warhammer,.. well at least it sounds like him😅

Never has this war been told with such passion, at least not in our modern era. Hence forth, when I imagine the word "muse" or D&D Bard or any form of narration...Baldy and LightB are the bar they must meet. Anything else is just a pale imitation. Simply gorgeous narration and voice acting.
I love it so much. The only I would recommend is using the same art pictures for character representation. Like Zeus being represented by Achilles and also Zeus from the game smite. It might be better to just use as one.
But its a such a small thing it doesn't take away from it. This is amazing
just the simple gesture of looking at all the comments alone says so much about the commitment to the work yall are doing and the amount of yourselves that you are putting into it all. much respect and appreciation for that which is most assuredly deserving.

Boldamort, first of this is absolutely fantastic… as all your work is. I have loved Mythology since I was a young lad, what texts are these from? Most books on the early time of the Greek Gods and their battles with the titans are very scarce on details, or just gloss over it. I would love to read the original texts if you would kindly share.
Hiya. Yes, they are incredibly scarce.
So, needing to create a cohesive mythology and story for this period, we have tried our best to reflect the struggles and the importance of the war. The horror of the Titans and their tyranny. Kronos especially.
So, with no other choice, we have written and presented it ourselves. We did our best to compromise the most important parts of the war from the little that remains.
We hope you enjoy it. We never claim to be prefect, or scholars. We are just doing our best.

Only a fool threatens a neutral party during conflict. Then again Chronos had hubris and arrogance in full here.
Apologies for not getting to this one sooner.
On the one hand Styx dragging Iapatus's soul is a dramatic as everything signal for the reserves to sally. On the other, the deat hof a Titan is not something that can simply be deligated to the unthought processes. This is an event that demands her personal apperation.
I love all of these touches, the fleshing out of these myths so that it is less a rote recount from this or that author and more telling a tale all your own.
I am glad for the pair of you taking this path.

Great video! Are these videos pure fiction based on Greek mythology?
We try to stay accurate to the Greek mythology it’s based on but yes it’s all fictional stories we write and voice ourselves!
There was once a long epic poem about all the details that happen in ‘The Titanomachy’ but unfortunately it’s been lost for many years! We do a lot of research and try to stick to the original takes as much as possible, while still being a coherent story and enjoyable!
But there are so many versions of the same myths with subtle differences sometimes we have to make a decision on which to depict and stick to!
But our intent has always been to inspire people to explore the original myths and variations, we just want to spread and share our love of mythology!
