      Marcus was always been a good person. But he did change because of silco always threatens his family and despite the knife right up at his neck he still chooses to play the game that their government had created for the sake of his love ones.

      @@christbenitez8797 I disagree. When we meet him, Marcus is a hot-headed young enforcer, arrogant and spiteful towards the people of Zaun. He also makes a deal with a criminal, going behind the back of his boss (even thought her death wasn't part of the deal, and he was shaken by it).
      Then he saves Vi, but rathen than risking her revealing the truth, he decides to shut her up by sending her to prison and throwing away the key.
      In the following years he becomes a somewhat better person, perhaps in part due to having a kid, ma he still isn't a good man.

    I like to Point out that it was not just Vi that dies. Cait and Jayce also may have died in the explosion. The two were outside the door. Jayce saw the kids inside and was the one to point out the kids as thieves. Leading the enforcers to give chase. The enforcers also went straight into the room. It’s most likely that Jayce and Cait got vaporize so they didn’t stop to check.
    This may also be why Piltover and Zuan were able to come together. With the death of Cait, her mom would have mourn and been more understanding of Vander. Since Vander already lost one kid. She wouldn’t want him to lose the others. Having them released back to Vander. The one to take the sole blame for it would be Jayce, but since he died there was nothing they can do. The investigation ended at that Jayce was experimenting on dangerous “magic” which led to the death of two kids and himself. This will also lead to Viktor never being pulled in to investigate the apartment.
    Heimer may have also played a big part in this as well.

      Whether Jayce died or not is irrelevant. His illegal research caused the death of a child. Had he survived, Jayce most certainly would've been banished or imprisoned and his research summarily destroyed.
      However, if Caitlyn had died, there's no way in HELL Cassandra, and by extension, the Council would allow Undercity sovereignty or equal coexistence with Piltover. Mylo, Claggor and possibly even Powder would be rotting in Stillwater and the bridge would've been closed off to Undercity indefinitely.

      I like this better than mine.
      In my version only Vi died by throwing herself in front of the blast so she took the full force of it and died on impact.
      Heimerdingers brain at the time never made it back to the moment where judgement was passed down, so Jayce ended up being expelled, and then committed suicide.
      Hex Tech was never invented nor will it ever. Viktor died to his disease and Caitlin did her own thing.
      But Jayce and Cait dying in that explosion would make more sense bc Vi, Jayce, and Cait are the three main people who kept the story moving by dragging both each other and Jinx and Viktor into it.

    What’s kind of sad when you realize that both Jayce and Viktor are likely also dead because due to Vi dying, Jayce DEFINITELY got banished from that city after also being disgraced. That along with the clear showing of how the loss of his life’s work impacted him mentally, combined with the guilt of causing a young girls death, and Jayce undoubtedly committed suicide in this universe.
    And because Jayce didn’t develop Hextech, Victor would go on to develop his disease that he has no means of curing and so he dies without leaving any legacy he wanted to leave behind

Unless Cait's mom was an even greater person than we have been shown (mind you I do consider her despite her imperfections a very great person in how she used her position of influence in her society). If I don't throw in the Cait died too part then all that happened is some Zaun terrorist blew up a building. Making the citizens afraid of their personal safety. If Cait died too, the daughter of one of Piltover's most prestigious families we are talking war. Unless indeed Cait's mom's grief made her see the need for change. As terrible as it’s going to sound, this was definitely the better universe. I love Vi as I relate to her deeply and, yes, things weren’t the same with her gone. It’s also safe to assume Jayce went through with his suicide attempt in season 1 after failing to do something with his life- which sucks. However, it seems to me that life is genuinely better for the general populous with the “legends” dead. They only become legendary due to tragedy. It breaks my heart that they wrote it that way (esp bc I’ve played the game and been into the lore for several years), but more people were happy and healthy and the world seemed like a better place- at least within Piltover and Zaun.

    I feel like this alternate universe really shows that Powder turning into Jinx wasn’t Vi’s fault but Silco’s. Vi “leaves powder” in both universes around that time (granted, different circumstances). She also believed Vi was dead until she got out of Stillwater in our universe. Powder was without Vi in both instances but in the alt timeline Vander raised her as apposed to Silco. Silco fostered Jinx in our universe. I’ve seen tons of arguments circling online saying Powder turning into Jinx was Vi’s fault. I’m here to say they’re WRONG and the alternate universe proves it.

    • @l.n.3372
      @l.n.3372 27 дней назад +65

      It absolutely isn't Vi fault but in season 1 finale, Jinx herself blames Vi. Jinx says that Silco didn't create Jinx ... "you did." That's the ammo Jinx stans use to blame Vi for everything.
      It also helps that in this alt timeline, Powder isn't angry anymore. She's just grieving her dead sister. In the normal timeline, Powder actively hates that her sister "abandoned" her, and Silco feeds upon that resentment cuz he's angry at Vander betrayal too.
      And it helps that in the alt timeline, Zaun is much happier. Powder doesn't have any reason to wallow in sadness forever as the city is better for everyone. Silco and Vander repair their relationship too.

    • @grandpa6065
      @grandpa6065 26 дней назад +34

      I feel like that's a false equivalence on its face. Vi's death here vs Vi's departure in canon is worlds apart, quite literally.
      For one thing, Vi's death here is accidental. In canon, Powder operates under the belief that Vi left her willingly because she's such a jinx. In neither universe, Vi left via her own decision, but in only one universe, Powder ends up misunderstanding Vi's absence deeply. Which (like Vi with Cait) gives Silco room to wiggle right in.
      Like I get where you're coming from, but the argument is supported poorly in this specific instance.

    Edit: I didn't think that some people misinterpreted why Powder was being hostile towards Ekko, but the reason why I did bring up when Powder and Ekko first enter the bar is because she acts very similar to Vi which made sense considering that Jinx was like that in the main timeline.

      @@CrispyChristieMAC "as she matured she would have accepted that Vi was ultimately responsible for her own death and not Ekko."
      This is a nice idea but it doesn't fully track with what we witness in Ep 7. When Ekko first learns about Vi being gone, the convo goes like this:
      E: "Was it you?"
      P: "*You* gave us the tip. We went on that job because of you"
      E: "The job. That's why there's no hextech here"

      In that scene, you can really tell there's some resentment and suppressed hostility coming from Powder -> she still blames him.
      Trauma bonding is a thing (typically an unhealthy thing, but I digress) but Ekko doesn't have the same exact kind of trauma to bond over. Maybe they're together because he's been good emotional support and actually shared his feelings

    I’d like to clear things up.
    A big part of why Powder became Jinx is because of Silco. He took Powder in, and taught her to be a killer. Plus with all the trauma she had for killing everyone she loved, she would’ve been crazy.
    Silco didn’t take in Powder, and Vander could teach her to control her emotions. (Plus Vander’s also mourning too)
    Another thing to point out is that Silco and Vander were friends again with Silco still having that damaged eye. Silco probably saw the letter Vander wrote to him, and they both became friends again.

    The person Milo is attracted to is in a band, rather than a gang, and there’s zero way for Vi’s death to have affected her dramatically.
    ONE PERSON’S DEATH CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD, JUST LIKE ONE PERSON’S LIFE CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD. Every great hero or villain you’ve been taught about was SURROUNDED by people helping or enabling them. There’s gotta be multiple changes in order for that universe to be so peaceful but the way people are talking about it low key makes sense.
      If you think about it like this Powder is the person we sorta follow around in that universe. VI’s death would have affected her deeply and if we are sorta seeing the world through her then of course it would feel like everything changed because of her death.
      Not to mention her being a huge character in the canon timeline for many people her absence would be the notable part of this time line even if there are more obvious things to indicate it being different like VI’s siblings being alive. We spend so much time with her it feels weird that she’s not really there.

    Sky got a lot closer with Victor and probably became his personal assistant, kinda filling the space Jayce left open (their relationship was similar to season 2 but a lot less physical and a little more
    reserved)
    Jayce ended himself out of guilt for killing Caitlin (he was ready to do it in the og universe so with the stricter security there was no one there to intervene)
    Heimerdinger stepped down as head of the council, since one of his most promising students actually killed someone and was creating magic literally blow his nose (plus the added tragedy of him killing
    himself)
    Kassandra (Kaitlyn's mom) took over as head of the council and used this tragedy to help the ppl of the under city
    (My English is bad sorry 😅, I came up with those ideas while thinking about a fanfic where Jayce ended up in the good universe alongside Ekko and Heimerdinger )

    Unpopular point of view: Powder in a parallel vers isn't happy and light version of herself. She lives with thought, that she kills her sister. Her potential as an inventor has not been revealed (she helps Ekko from the parallel vers, but did original Ekko need her inventive talent?) She talks with a dead Vi, because she can't let her go. But she still stores hextek
    Well... Is she really happy version of herself?

    • @sittinginbushes

      yeah, I don't think she's okay either. and despite how stable she looks in the other universe, I don't think she's that far from her jinx version. I think in this one she also feels like a jinx bc of hurting her sister to the point of her death it's just that other factors like silco didn't make her go to the brink of her sanity

      She doesn't store hextech though, you have to pay attention when you watch shows. It was Ekko who went back to the scene of the crime to collect the shards, they started bringing tech to her hideout only after Ekko and heimdigner asked her for help

    It's incredible the effect Vi's death would have on a number of people. In season 1, the only reason Jayce got away with his research exploding was because no one got hurt. He couldn't get away with 'just a slap on the wrist', as Heimerdinger said, because someone died this time. Viktor likely died from his illness, Jayce was banished or imprisoned and Vi's death/the death of a child, became a catalyst for REAL change.

  • @staffdespell
    @staffdespell 8 дней назад +1

    I saw a theory that powder dropped more than one of the hex gems, and that's what caused it to kill Vi, as the explosion would have been bigger and had more impact. It also would have likely also killed Jayce and Caitlyn because of this, allowing Zaun and Piltover to unite over the deaths of children of each others leaders

  • @ChristianJucelleVillaluz
    @ChristianJucelleVillaluz 11 дней назад

    Vi's death was a trigger to many things. That explosion alone ended Vi, Jayce(probably caitlyn too). Changed marcus's PoV about his hate to Zaun. Which prevented him from every thinking of making a deal with Silco. And probably also the reason why Silco had to be there for Vander and Powder. He already knew the kids when their parents were still alive.

  • @bizzyg5751
    @bizzyg5751 28 дней назад +13

    I have a theory that Silco was jealous of Vi. When he learned that Vi's group had caused that explosion that led to Piltover's unrest and once again oppressing Vaun, Silco honed in on Vi and used her to get to Vander. The others didn't even matter. He wanted Vi dead, but he let Powder live. Vi was the child that changed everything with her conception if he was in love with her mother. Vi was the light of Vander's eye and changed him too (so did Powder, but Silco, one eye blind, couldn't see Powder). Vander changed for love and a better future, which Vi represented. But in the future where Vi's dead, somehow him and Vander rekindle and create that better future. This reality highlights Vi's significance so much. I'd like to see a reality where she wasn't killed or thrown in jail. Is her existence an catalyst for good or misfortune. How much of a difference does she make?

    I used to think “Wow they really made an alternative reality where everything is better because Vi died” but that’s not why. It’s because of hextech not existing. If anything, the fact that Vi died made some people’s life worse (Like Jayce, Viktor, Vander..) It’s all part of the butterfly effect. It’s not better because Vi died, but due to the kind of person that Vi is, she’d probably be okay with dying even if it causes her family intense grief because it’s better than what’s happening to them in her universe

    Although this was an important divergence point one should not underestimate the fact that another crucial divergence point was that silco read vander's letter and they wound up forgiving each other as opposed to silko winding up backing Singed. No Singed, no shimmer and chemtech to further destabilize zahn and piltover. And with vander still serving as a community leader, powder had someone stable to help her get over her grief and build a better life for herself... And his deal with the enforcers would have allowed him to keep powder and the other kids out of custody.

Knowing Vi and Powder through Ekko, he probably was the driving force that convinced the Council to finally help Zaun, and pull some strings to give Jayce a pardon. But the whereabouts of the Jayce and Viktor of this timeline is still up to interpretation. 😉

    • @rikk319
      @rikk319 4 дня назад

Viktor never explained it , he just give the rune to jayce to stop him(viktor) , like you can start by not giving the rune at the first place.

    don't forget that in this timeline, viktor will have died due to his disease. jayce would have been killed by the blast, severely injured or very well imprisoned by the council as his hextech would have caused the death of a child and they would have had no mercy on him. Not sure about Caitlin, but she didnt look like she was very close to the blast at all, so i guess she would have just grown up as a member of her household and lived her very privileged life. Most of the bad people in this timeline would have been killed or suffered terrible fates such as lifetime imprisonment.

Only now, he is still on the council, so he had the power to make a lot of positive changes in how Piltover handles Zaun.
