Marcus was always been a good person. But he did change because of silco always threatens his family and despite the knife right up at his neck he still chooses to play the game that their government had created for the sake of his love ones. If we are in his shoes we might do the same thing.
@@christbenitez8797 I disagree. When we meet him, Marcus is a hot-headed young enforcer, arrogant and spiteful towards the people of Zaun. He also makes a deal with a criminal, going behind the back of his boss (even thought her death wasn't part of the deal, and he was shaken by it). Then he saves Vi, but rathen than risking her revealing the truth, he decides to shut her up by sending her to prison and throwing away the key. In the following years he becomes a somewhat better person, perhaps in part due to having a kid, ma he still isn't a good man.
@@amynolan1498 I never understood people with this perspective. Vi had just seen her whole family died, and the only good thing that was left in her life accidentally caused it all. people blame Vi for causing Powder's trauma, but maybe that trauma wouldn't have been there if Vi were given the chance to go back to Powder instead of being dragged away by Markus. there are no villains in Arcane: everyone is unfortunately a victim of circumstance. ...except Maddie, fuck that traitor
i saw someone say that caitlyn probably didn't drop the trinket in this universe, which is the noise vi initially heard to alert her that someone was in the hall and honestly it makes sense. in the og universe she heard them and put the chair up against the door as they all went for the balcony, but in this one she probably held the door closed herself bc she heard jayce opening it, which put her just a few steps closer to the explosion and that was tragically enough to kill her. wild to think that the only thing that kept vi alive was her would-be soulmate dropping something from the box she was carrying on a day they never met
@@Softerhazei think this video just spliced s1e1 and s2e7 scenes together. i don't remember episode 7 actually showing us that part of the robbery, so this is just my speculation
I think it could be that the trinket wasn't dropped because Jayce could have been carrying it instead in this universe. It would also mean that Cait and Jayce are closer to the blast and could have also both died.
And Jayce probably killed himself. With a death that case would probably grow in priority (and it was already high priority), which means Viktor wouldn’t interfere and Jayce would kill himself.
@@TheRandyalexit's possible Viktor went into shimmer instead of hextech perfecting chemtech in the process which shows why there was chemtech in the alt universe
You know, if you stop to think it, if she knew, Vi would be okay with dying, because it would make a world where her family is happy, even if she is not there.
If Arcane Vi, The Vi we knew, knows about the other timeline, her siblings and Vander being alive, Zaun having improvements. She'd be alright with being dead
I absolutely love how this timeline implies that Powder and the rest were never punished for that. The look on Marcus' face...the horror of seeing a dead child, despite it being from Zaun
Yep, instead of tensions increasing over a successful robbery. Unity was built of a tragedy that everyone can relate to. Nobody wants to be “that guy” when dead kids are involved.
I like to Point out that it was not just Vi that dies. Cait and Jayce also may have died in the explosion. The two were outside the door. Jayce saw the kids inside and was the one to point out the kids as thieves. Leading the enforcers to give chase. The enforcers also went straight into the room. It’s most likely that Jayce and Cait got vaporize so they didn’t stop to check. This may also be why Piltover and Zuan were able to come together. With the death of Cait, her mom would have mourn and been more understanding of Vander. Since Vander already lost one kid. She wouldn’t want him to lose the others. Having them released back to Vander. The one to take the sole blame for it would be Jayce, but since he died there was nothing they can do. The investigation ended at that Jayce was experimenting on dangerous “magic” which led to the death of two kids and himself. This will also lead to Viktor never being pulled in to investigate the apartment. Heimer may have also played a big part in this as well.
Whether Jayce died or not is irrelevant. His illegal research caused the death of a child. Had he survived, Jayce most certainly would've been banished or imprisoned and his research summarily destroyed. However, if Caitlyn had died, there's no way in HELL Cassandra, and by extension, the Council would allow Undercity sovereignty or equal coexistence with Piltover. Mylo, Claggor and possibly even Powder would be rotting in Stillwater and the bridge would've been closed off to Undercity indefinitely.
I like this better than mine. In my version only Vi died by throwing herself in front of the blast so she took the full force of it and died on impact. Heimerdingers brain at the time never made it back to the moment where judgement was passed down, so Jayce ended up being expelled, and then committed suicide. Hex Tech was never invented nor will it ever. Viktor died to his disease and Caitlin did her own thing. But Jayce and Cait dying in that explosion would make more sense bc Vi, Jayce, and Cait are the three main people who kept the story moving by dragging both each other and Jinx and Viktor into it.
That would make 0 sense since the reason why Vi didn't die in the explosion was because Jayce was trying to enter the apartment so she rushed to the balcony and the explosion didn't hit her. For the explosion to kill her Jayce would have never entered the apartment and Vi would have stayed there and died lol
What’s kind of sad when you realize that both Jayce and Viktor are likely also dead because due to Vi dying, Jayce DEFINITELY got banished from that city after also being disgraced. That along with the clear showing of how the loss of his life’s work impacted him mentally, combined with the guilt of causing a young girls death, and Jayce undoubtedly committed suicide in this universe. And because Jayce didn’t develop Hextech, Victor would go on to develop his disease that he has no means of curing and so he dies without leaving any legacy he wanted to leave behind
@lonesurvivor8828 pretty sure Shimmer isn’t around for Viktor to get his hands on because it would undoubtedly be outlawed in Zaun in this reality and Singe would probably have just straight left the cities to go somewhere else to continue his research since there’s no way he can do it in Zaun
@ in the normal timeline, Jayce gets knocked out from the explosion because he was right at the door trying to get in, and Viktor wasn’t even there, he debuts when Jayce is being questioned during the aftermath of the explosion and is inspecting Jayce’s work
@Zaina_Anas yeah he helped, but a lot of the issues that the current time line had was halted at Vi's death. Jayce would've k/lled himself due to the explosion, Viktor would've died from his illness probably. The city would've lost 2 Zaunites and a boy from Piltover in the one fell swoop. Heimer probably would've used that moment to collect both cities, both that would be mourning a loss, to bring them together
Why would they Unite? Sorry. But if anything it would separate Zaun and Piltover even greater. Unless Cait's mom was an even greater person than we have been shown (mind you I do consider her despite her imperfections a very great person in how she used her position of influence in her society). If I don't throw in the Cait died too part then all that happened is some Zaun terrorist blew up a building. Making the citizens afraid of their personal safety. If Cait died too, the daughter of one of Piltover's most prestigious families we are talking war. Unless indeed Cait's mom's grief made her see the need for change. But that would be quite an enlightened response to such a tragic lost. That's not who we are. We are not that strong (although Cait eventually became that strong).
@GeneJohnson-vy2ci because this is the other time line where hex tech never became a thing, where Silco never became an evil bastard and could turn Powder into Jinx. This is the time line Heimer spent 3 yrs probably negotiating peace after the death of *children*. Dying kids *usually* brings people together because children are innocent in war, innocent in a lot of thing.
@@_TIO No Children died. Cait if we give in to the belief that she died there was at that time an young adult (college age?) and Vi was in her yearly to mid teens. And why would Piltover have any sympathy for some punk thug especially if we throw in the possible Cait death into the mix. It would be all about Cait and they would all but forget someone else died that day.
Not to mention, the crystal's explosion could even be stronger depending on which rune jayce was experimenting with since in this reality it wasnt the acceleration rune
@@Dead25m they never used any particular runes in the crystals but mainly as a fuel source so the crystals meant for acceleration rune could be different from the other implication the others uses hence the theory of a much larger explosion since the acceleration rune heavily focus on being stabilized first and calmed down
I love the thought that ekko is the boy savoir, but my mind never shut up about how he was the one that made them go to this heist, the one that either make vi die or all the others die because of what powder took from it specifically the fact that ekko followed jayce to his house. Like he was the reason for the big thing yet he is the one that saved the world
@whatsgoingonpeople yes, but I mean what connected vi and powder to the world of jayce and Viktor? It's ekko. I don't mean he's the reason at all. No one knew what would happen. Each one of them was wrong in some way that day, but I mean, he's the string that connected them to the other characters of piltover. Maybe even if he didn’t tell them about jayce, they would have known in another way. It's just the thought and the feeling of knowing ekko is the first step that sends the others to their doomed path/walk
Same thoughts exactly. Like the way the alternate powder pointed how it's was ekko's "fault". Maybe if ekko did not tipped them about jayce's wealth , everything would have been totally different.
@@jaemcee1596there's a lot of "ifs" in that line of thinking. We also learn Vander specifically told them that part of town was off limit for "jobs". If Vi listened to him it never would've happened. Or if Jayce wasn't trying to break the law and and mess with contraband and walk into the show where Ekko was none of it would happen.
Lol I will never understand this joke. Is it cuz the fandom collectively hates Jayce? It was one incident in which the kid was standing still in the middle of a fast paced battle. Ever since then the only other people he’s killed/ attempted to kill were Salo and Viktor. Isha doesn’t count because too many people were involved. She sacrificed herself to save jinx, vi, and Caitlyn from Warwick after Singed subtly powered him up in the middle of an attack ordered by Ambessa. He’s as much at fault as everyone else
@@xagram7614 who said it wasn’t? I acknowledged it in my first sentence. I’m just perplexed is all because jokes often express an underlying sentiment. In this case, one that I disagree with.
@jumbojoe3030 It's dark humor my man. Nothing more nothing less. I don't hate Jayce. But i can laugh when people joke about how Jayce really killed it in his first fight scene with his hammer... like that kid. As for why it stuck to Jayce and not others when others in the series killed kids, most indirectly, I think the humor sticks more because Jayce was an updtanding, bright young mind that wanted to bring good to the world, so the irony that he killed a kid is probably why the humor sticks. That was the last thing he wanted to do. But such is dark humor
@@aVenomousSnake well I suppose humor will always remain a mystery. Although i don’t often laugh at these jokes, I still find some clever ones amusing every now and then. Anyways, Jayce isn’t the only self-righteous character with a kill count. In other words, there must be more to it than just situational irony. I still think this running joke moreso pertains to Jayce’s negative reception amongst the community, not “hate” perse, but I’ll just leave it at that. Agree to disagree.
I believe Jayce was sent to a timeline different from Heimer and Ekko because he isn't alive in that timeline. Be it dying from the explosion or not having a chance to make his case to the council, being banished, and not having Victor to stop him from suicide. It seems that most timelines with Jayce probably ended up heading in the same direction as the hextech, dark souls timeline.
@Rayzenwho That's true. At first, I just thought that wasn't Jayce, but reddit community seems to think it was. That's interesting that Ekko took on the role of the other Ekko and I imagine the same for Heimer rather than being a separate entity in that timeline. Maybe Victor pulled him into that timeline?
I think that in all universes where Hextech is not developed Jayce probably dies as a child. The mage who saves him and his mom from the snowstorm in season one is Viktor. It's a bootstrap paradox.
@@aVenomousSnake stop listening to redditors 😂. 90% of y'all posts are just other people's observations. I'm asking please have better standards for yourself 😅
Shit really better off with them dead as someone who never played league of legends before watching, that’s exactly what I thought. Watching that lame ass romance😂
If we think in infinite universes everything is possible, so there are probably more universes where they didn't meet or where one of both of them died
she would have most likely died as the trinket that cait dropped alerted Vi that someone was coming. as the trinket never fell, vi never knew jayce and cait were coming, so cait was never a couple steps behind. jayce, cait and vi were all killed in an instant as a result of these series of events and circumstances.
The inevitability that the "Hex Crystals" would lead to Powder always getting her family killed; whether that's Mylo, Clagger and Vander, or Vi, it seems it's the catalyst to who she is and the world around her.
As terrible as it’s going to sound, this was definitely the better universe. I love Vi as I relate to her deeply and, yes, things weren’t the same with her gone. It’s also safe to assume Jayce went through with his suicide attempt in season 1 after failing to do something with his life- which sucks. However, it seems to me that life is genuinely better for the general populous with the “legends” dead. They only become legendary due to tragedy. It breaks my heart that they wrote it that way (esp bc I’ve played the game and been into the lore for several years), but more people were happy and healthy and the world seemed like a better place- at least within Piltover and Zaun.
As some other people have pointed out Jayce and Caitlyn probably died in the explosion too or they would have been the first in the room not the enforcers.
@@vig4259 I think she and Jayce might get minor injured or something because the enforcer looks a bit surprised when seeing Vi dead. so there are no other casualties.
Less people do not die. With vi dead, Jaycee and Caitlin also die, meaning victor also dies without hextech. Yes it may be a happier dimension. But I ain’t happy 😭
I see people in the comments theorizing about how Jayce probably died from the explosion too or that he was banished but I think that he killed himself. Since a true tragedy came from this event, a child dying, Jayce had immeasurable guilt and had less sympathy from the enforcers, Heimerdinger, or Viktor. Meaning, no one would be there to stop him from taking that step.
besides the fact that her death is so tragic here, I forgot how light Vi's face and eyesockets looked, it's like she's missing all of the trauma that ages her face in the og timeline, the heavy eyebags and wrinkles.. the hardened facial lines, teenage Vi is still so innocent here :(
I also believe Cait died in the explosion as well, since I read somewhere that one of the writers said Caitlyn and Vi are together in every universe, except for the one in which they're both dead (which would be this one)
Violet is the type of person who would be fine with dying if it meant saving her sister from becoming Jinx, saving her father Vander, Benzo and a better Zaun for everyone. This show is so tragic.
The door wasn't barricaded as well, so jayce and cait being gone as well as vi makes sense. I also believe its the reason why jayce ended up in apocalypse town
I believe Vi's death may have lead to opening eyes on how dangerous Hextech could be and either Jayce himself decides to let go of his dream or the council themselves took more severe actions to ensure tht Hextech was nvr made.
I'm pretty sure the universe in which everybody's thriving and there is peace between Zaun and Piltover is better than having Vi around to punch things.
@@potato31415 Yeah, but it still doesn't feel right knowing Vi will never be able to see the undercity flourishing like this... I just wish there was a universe where both sisters could be together and happy is that too much to ask?
What makes this sadder is that Vi dying was one of the only ways to make piece between Zaun and Piltover because in the altenate universe Ekko and Heimerdinger were in Jayce was actually tried for his illegal studies that caused Vi to die and without Jayce ever creating hextech Zaun and Piltover made peace and it was easier for Piltover to make peace with Zaun because in that alternate universe Silco found that letter Vander left him which made them both make peace with each other also fun fact about Jayce's alternate universe and Ekko's is that Jayce was taken to a univere were something happened to Ekko my guess is that Ekko in that alternate universe died in the fight with Jinx on the bridge, and Ekko was sent to a univere were something happened to Jayce and my guess to what happened was that Jaycd was tried for his crimes cause Heimerdinger wouldn't defend him because Jayce's expitment caused the death of another person.
It’s not that Ekko died in the timeline Jayce was in, it’s that he never had the Z drive. Every timeline where Viktor gave Jayce a rune ended like that except for one, that being the one where Jayce got the acceleration rune, Ekko made a reverse formula of it to make the Z drive, and Viktor got to see the timeline Jayce went to
@@worried189brick2 yeah but if Vi didn't die we know that he wouldn't listen to Heimerdinger and continue his studies with Viktor and we know that because time traveler Viktor went back in time multiple times until he finally gave child Jayce the acceleration rune which led to Ekko being able to break through Viktor's mask which made it easier for Jayce to get through to him
@@spoonmcfork yeah the main thing I was really pointing out was just that they were both sent to timelines where something had happened to the other person
No, Heimerdinger was there long before all actions and with all knowledge from his world. He knew everything that Ekko shows him about Zaun and used that knowledge to create peace between piltover and zaun.
I feel like this alternate universe really shows that Powder turning into Jinx wasn’t Vi’s fault but Silco’s. Vi “leaves powder” in both universes around that time (granted, different circumstances). She also believed Vi was dead until she got out of Stillwater in our universe. Powder was without Vi in both instances but in the alt timeline Vander raised her as apposed to Silco. Silco fostered Jinx in our universe. I’ve seen tons of arguments circling online saying Powder turning into Jinx was Vi’s fault. I’m here to say they’re WRONG and the alternate universe proves it.
It absolutely isn't Vi fault but in season 1 finale, Jinx herself blames Vi. Jinx says that Silco didn't create Jinx ... "you did." That's the ammo Jinx stans use to blame Vi for everything. It also helps that in this alt timeline, Powder isn't angry anymore. She's just grieving her dead sister. In the normal timeline, Powder actively hates that her sister "abandoned" her, and Silco feeds upon that resentment cuz he's angry at Vander betrayal too. And it helps that in the alt timeline, Zaun is much happier. Powder doesn't have any reason to wallow in sadness forever as the city is better for everyone. Silco and Vander repair their relationship too.
I feel like that's a false equivalence on its face. Vi's death here vs Vi's departure in canon is worlds apart, quite literally. For one thing, Vi's death here is accidental. In canon, Powder operates under the belief that Vi left her willingly because she's such a jinx. In neither universe, Vi left via her own decision, but in only one universe, Powder ends up misunderstanding Vi's absence deeply. Which (like Vi with Cait) gives Silco room to wiggle right in. Like I get where you're coming from, but the argument is supported poorly in this specific instance.
But in deason one vi ausência is diffetentr Powder think that vi hated her something that make her angry and While the season 2 she just die for her fault making her fell sad
@@grandpa6065 Yeah, having a loved one die in front of you, and that same loved one disowning you and going no contact would trigger entirely different reactions.
If our jinx really died then the powder on the other timeline might become the Jinx we know from league. She can probably figure out how ekko travelled in time and do the same hoping that she can save her Vi, she will fail, become insane, and accidentally destroy her timeline, somehow she will find her way on Arcanes timeline at some point to annoy Vi and cait like she usually does
This explains too much on why Powder in that universe is the way she is... Sure, Mylo no longer picked on her after Vi's death, but Powder almost never leaving the bar and acting more like Vi when she got older just hurts... Edit: I didn't think that some people misinterpreted why Powder was being hostile towards Ekko, but the reason why I did bring up when Powder and Ekko first enter the bar is because she acts very similar to Vi which made sense considering that Jinx was like that in the main timeline.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why Powder got in a relationship with Ekko in that universe. It was Ekko who initially gave them the "tip" to go to that place, so it would be reasonable to assume that Powder may hold Ekko partially responsible for Vi's death. Thoughts?
@@libberator5891 Any normal functioning person would realize pretty quickly (Which Powder is in this timeline) that Little Man is not responsible simply for giving a tip. She would have naturally been devastated, but as she matured she would have accepted that Vi was ultimately responsible for her own death and not Ekko. It also likely would have been something that they bonded closely over especially being similar ages and especially with Vander and Benzo being close friends. I don't think there is anything odd about it at all. Tragic events are far more likely to bring people closer together.
@@CrispyChristieMAC "as she matured she would have accepted that Vi was ultimately responsible for her own death and not Ekko." This is a nice idea but it doesn't fully track with what we witness in Ep 7. When Ekko first learns about Vi being gone, the convo goes like this: E: "Was it you?" P: "*You* gave us the tip. We went on that job because of you" E: "The job. That's why there's no hextech here" P: "You should leave. Go. Before I do something I regret" In that scene, you can really tell there's some resentment and suppressed hostility coming from Powder -> she still blames him. Trauma bonding is a thing (typically an unhealthy thing, but I digress) but Ekko doesn't have the same exact kind of trauma to bond over. Maybe they're together because he's been good emotional support and actually shared his feelings
@@libberator5891 No she doesn't blame him she thinks he is being an ass for no properly remembering Vi's death, she thinks he is messing with her. You interpreted that scene completely wrong. She was hostile because he was being an ass.
In alt U, both Vi and Cait died from the explosion. Then jayce killed himself (victor wasn't there to stop him like in main U as he was disappointed in jayce, since his invention killed someone)

Some people may ask, “Why didn’t Powder turn into Jinx after Vi died? That would’ve caused an equal amount of trauma to killing her family and Vi leaving her.” I’d like to clear things up. A big part of why Powder became Jinx is because of Silco. He took Powder in, and taught her to be a killer. Plus with all the trauma she had for killing everyone she loved, she would’ve been crazy. Silco didn’t take in Powder, and Vander could teach her to control her emotions. (Plus Vander’s also mourning too) Another thing to point out is that Silco and Vander were friends again with Silco still having that damaged eye. Silco probably saw the letter Vander wrote to him, and they both became friends again.
it's not that Vander taught Powder to "control her emotions", it's that her sister's death traumatized her to the point where she didn't believe in herself and didn't have the motivation or courage to do anything big with her life without her sister
I like the little detail that Vi risks her life to pick up stuff thou she might die if she lingers there longer while Powder ditches the bag later running away from a guy. That little thing in the beginning made me cheer for Vi more.
Vi dying here means that Jayce absolutely jumps off the building no matter what, he wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of a child’s death No Jayce means that Viktor eventually dies of cancer The best timeline, fucked up enough
Imagine finding out that there is an entire universe where the people you love are alive and well and everyone is safe and it's because you died...that would be terrible 😢 my poor Vi
I think Caitlyn and Jayce also died, because if you think about it, how many children of Zaun didn't die before and nothing happened? It wasn't until a girl from Piltover of the Kiramman house also died. I think that in honor of her death, Cassandra finally does something together with Vander to build a better place for the children.
Vi dying wasn’t the only change. Silco also received Vander’s letter and forgave him for trying to kill him, which is an enormous act of mercy and forgiveness. Silco doesn’t become a crime boss, doesn’t invest in shimmer, and it doesn’t hit the streets. The person Milo is attracted to is in a band, rather than a gang, and there’s zero way for Vi’s death to have affected her dramatically. ONE PERSON’S DEATH CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD, JUST LIKE ONE PERSON’S LIFE CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD. Every great hero or villain you’ve been taught about was SURROUNDED by people helping or enabling them. No one person is important enough, powerful enough, intelligent enough, strong willed enough, that they could overpower even a small group of others. People have accomplished EVERYTHING by working together, and anything else is just a fantasy that perpetuates itself by erasing names.
Well Silco probably found the letter because with Vi dead, Powder never would have fallen into Silco’s hands. It’s reasonable for think that Silco not having Powder around would have changed many actions he took as she played a massively significant role in his life once he “adopted” her.
As much as I love Vi her death definitely wasn’t the only thing that affected how well this timeline is. There’s gotta be multiple changes in order for that universe to be so peaceful but the way people are talking about it low key makes sense. If you think about it like this Powder is the person we sorta follow around in that universe. VI’s death would have affected her deeply and if we are sorta seeing the world through her then of course it would feel like everything changed because of her death. Not to mention her being a huge character in the canon timeline for many people her absence would be the notable part of this time line even if there are more obvious things to indicate it being different like VI’s siblings being alive. We spend so much time with her it feels weird that she’s not really there.
Not just vi, cait and jayce also die in this explosion. Cuz theres an official statement that in this universe both cait and vi are dead. and each and every other one they're together.
I've heard people speculating that Cait also died in that explosion in the alternate universe, which adds to the reasons why Piltover and Zaun could reach the peace we see later on. They both lost one of their leaders' children
My personal hc for the rest is : Victor died around the s1 finale (but wasted away since he had no access to the hexcore)he actually created Blitzcrank while trying to come in terms with his mortality Sky got a lot closer with Victor and probably became his personal assistant, kinda filling the space Jayce left open (their relationship was similar to season 2 but a lot less physical and a little more reserved) Jayce ended himself out of guilt for killing Caitlin (he was ready to do it in the og universe so with the stricter security there was no one there to intervene) Heimerdinger stepped down as head of the council, since one of his most promising students actually killed someone and was creating magic literally blow his nose (plus the added tragedy of him killing himself) Kassandra (Kaitlyn's mom) took over as head of the council and used this tragedy to help the ppl of the under city (My English is bad sorry 😅, I came up with those ideas while thinking about a fanfic where Jayce ended up in the good universe alongside Ekko and Heimerdinger )
i'm just wondering, for a moment, that everyone claims Vi as the jinx but what if Powder never took those crystals? The building wouldn't have blown up, they wouldn't have been on the run and the overall consequences wouldn't have been as bad - i imagine - so, what would've happened if Powder never took those crystals?
@ I know! Like so many factors other than vi can lead into a change of what happened but I feel like the heist would’ve been fine if powder didn’t take the crystals
@@sittinginbushes exactly! I love Vi and everyone else to bits because they are such well-written, poor little trauma filled children at heart. Yes but that would mean jayes would have continued to work on hexteck on his own without anyone knowing, and as we know how thing end when hexteck gets developed
I think what’s tragic for me is no matter if it’s a good or bad universe, both sisters can’t live in a world together, no matter what, they still lose each other.
Unpopular point of view: Powder in a parallel vers isn't happy and light version of herself. She lives with thought, that she kills her sister. Her potential as an inventor has not been revealed (she helps Ekko from the parallel vers, but did original Ekko need her inventive talent?) She talks with a dead Vi, because she can't let her go. But she still stores hextek Well... Is she really happy version of herself?
yeah, I don't think she's okay either. and despite how stable she looks in the other universe, I don't think she's that far from her jinx version. I think in this one she also feels like a jinx bc of hurting her sister to the point of her death it's just that other factors like silco didn't make her go to the brink of her sanity
She doesn't store hextech though, you have to pay attention when you watch shows. It was Ekko who went back to the scene of the crime to collect the shards, they started bringing tech to her hideout only after Ekko and heimdigner asked her for help
I think she definitely isn't happy in that universe, I mean Vander tells her she's limiting herself or something along those lines and I immediately thought well yeah, her sister died and she hasn't been able to move on as well as others may think she has + is probably afraid of other people important to her dying too so she doesn't want to leave them and go do her own stuff
@@privateuser3726 Ironic that you are telling others to pay attention when you yourself didn't. In the last scene of episode 7 Powder opens a drawer with hextech gemstones inside it. Those are probably the same ones she collected on the day of the explosion.
the grief scenes in this show are so raw and impactful. they did emotions stellarly especially considering it's animation - or maybe because it's animation. huge props to the animators and voice actors
vi dead, warwick never exist ,jayce and victor gone, no jinx, singed never made into general, ionia invasion failed, riven still in noxus army, yasuo never branded a murderer, yone alive... and so on
It's incredible the effect Vi's death would have on a number of people. In season 1, the only reason Jayce got away with his research exploding was because no one got hurt. He couldn't get away with 'just a slap on the wrist', as Heimerdinger said, because someone died this time. Viktor likely died from his illness, Jayce was banished or imprisoned and Vi's death/the death of a child, became a catalyst for REAL change.
I saw a theory that powder dropped more than one of the hex gems, and that's what caused it to kill Vi, as the explosion would have been bigger and had more impact. It also would have likely also killed Jayce and Caitlyn because of this, allowing Zaun and Piltover to unite over the deaths of children of each others leaders
Vi's death was a trigger to many things. That explosion alone ended Vi, Jayce(probably caitlyn too). Changed marcus's PoV about his hate to Zaun. Which prevented him from every thinking of making a deal with Silco. And probably also the reason why Silco had to be there for Vander and Powder. He already knew the kids when their parents were still alive.
I have a theory that Silco was jealous of Vi. When he learned that Vi's group had caused that explosion that led to Piltover's unrest and once again oppressing Vaun, Silco honed in on Vi and used her to get to Vander. The others didn't even matter. He wanted Vi dead, but he let Powder live. Vi was the child that changed everything with her conception if he was in love with her mother. Vi was the light of Vander's eye and changed him too (so did Powder, but Silco, one eye blind, couldn't see Powder). Vander changed for love and a better future, which Vi represented. But in the future where Vi's dead, somehow him and Vander rekindle and create that better future. This reality highlights Vi's significance so much. I'd like to see a reality where she wasn't killed or thrown in jail. Is her existence an catalyst for good or misfortune. How much of a difference does she make?
My depressing headcannon is that cait and jayce died too. We didn't see them in the s2 e7 scenes coming into the room to see what happened. They were right behind that door. Honestly, it's a miracle the three survived in our timeline. I always thought it was dumb luck, even before we got the alternate universe stuff. This show makes me so sad yet so happy at the same time. And I kind of hate it for that 😅.
I used to think “Wow they really made an alternative reality where everything is better because Vi died” but that’s not why. It’s because of hextech not existing. If anything, the fact that Vi died made some people’s life worse (Like Jayce, Viktor, Vander..) It’s all part of the butterfly effect. It’s not better because Vi died, but due to the kind of person that Vi is, she’d probably be okay with dying even if it causes her family intense grief because it’s better than what’s happening to them in her universe
So, for that reason Jayce must be in prison or wandering in other place trying to figure science and magic…Caitlyn probably with Maddie, Powder hiding the gems? She probably will begin to experiment something in the future. I love the idea of that alternate universe, it change its course completely ❤️
Maddie is likely not in the picture, no hextech means no reason for ambessa to show up, no reason for her to show up means no reason to push maddie into the enforcers, so they likely never meet. Jayce probably ended up killing himself, he was about to the first time, and this time it's much more dire.
Jayce probably offed himself. Viktor probably offed himself as well or died early of his sickness. Dunno about Caitlyn. She probably would train together with her trainer more. Mel might join her mother.
Although this was an important divergence point one should not underestimate the fact that another crucial divergence point was that silco read vander's letter and they wound up forgiving each other as opposed to silko winding up backing Singed. No Singed, no shimmer and chemtech to further destabilize zahn and piltover. And with vander still serving as a community leader, powder had someone stable to help her get over her grief and build a better life for herself... And his deal with the enforcers would have allowed him to keep powder and the other kids out of custody.
Let’s not forget that Heimerdinger arrived to this timeline, around this time before Ekko. Knowing Vi and Powder through Ekko, he probably was the driving force that convinced the Council to finally help Zaun, and pull some strings to give Jayce a pardon. But the whereabouts of the Jayce and Viktor of this timeline is still up to interpretation. 😉
After that trauma and guilt, Viktor wouldn't have been there to keep Jayce from offing himself, and Viktor would have died without hextech to stave off his disease, so...no interpretation needed as to where Jayce and Viktor are; they're dead.
Someone pointed out that there were 3 hex crystals that exploded and thats why it caused the death of vi, jayce and caitlyn. Where in the original universe they all only got knocked over because of the one crystal.
What i don't understand is , it's not vi's sacrifice that makes the other universe better , it's the arcane that never been utilize as hextech , if viktor really is time traveling to undo it , then why give jayce the arcane everytime? why not just save jayce from the snowstorm then stop there. Viktor never explained it , he just give the rune to jayce to stop him(viktor) , like you can start by not giving the rune at the first place.
In the original version they kinda foreshadow this as a possibility. We see the kids out on the balcony before Vi comes out and they flee. But for a moment, the viewer is left wondering if she made it out.
don't forget that in this timeline, viktor will have died due to his disease. jayce would have been killed by the blast, severely injured or very well imprisoned by the council as his hextech would have caused the death of a child and they would have had no mercy on him. Not sure about Caitlin, but she didnt look like she was very close to the blast at all, so i guess she would have just grown up as a member of her household and lived her very privileged life. Most of the bad people in this timeline would have been killed or suffered terrible fates such as lifetime imprisonment.
People also tend to forget that Heimerdinger landed here 3+ years earlier than Ekko with all the knowledge he had gained from being removed from the council and going to Zaun. Only now, he is still on the council, so he had the power to make a lot of positive changes in how Piltover handles Zaun. This might not be directly tied to Hextech, but it definitely helped lead to the world Ekko saw when he got there.
Probably the council did not forgive Jayce in this universe, it makes sense since this time his experiment not only destroyed a building but killed someone, also the council would have banned hextec and Victor simply continued as Heimmerdinger's assistant
- Jayce is expelled from the Academy and never creates hextech - Hearing that Vander lost a daughter, Silco decides to come visit him and they end up forgiving each other, shimmer is never created - together, they unite the undercity and start talk with piltover, obtain more equality - Ambessa never comes to piltover -Viktor fking dies
Cait, also died in that universe. I think one of the story writer said that in all universes Vi and Caitlyn are always together, but there’s only one where they aren’t because they’re both dead and that’s that universe. 🫠
Look at Marcus' face. No more judgement of Zaunites, just shock and upset that a child has died.
Probably was a better person in that universe ig
This was Marcus before corruption.
@@naniyan7648probably seeing a child die like that shook him to his core principles as a father so he probably ended up being a better person
If you listen closely in the show, when Powder screams “Violet”, it’s the same scream she let out when Vi left her at in the first season
When Vi ‘left’ her to cool off for a moment and prevent herself from causing any more harm to Powder 🥲
Still left and we are talking about powders perspective @pointseventhree
@@amynolan1498 yeah i know, i just thought I'd clarify since I've seen a lot of people forget that Vi didn't intentionally leave Powder alone!

How do we even know she was his daughter? Maddie was confirmed to be a Noxian
i saw someone say that caitlyn probably didn't drop the trinket in this universe, which is the noise vi initially heard to alert her that someone was in the hall and honestly it makes sense. in the og universe she heard them and put the chair up against the door as they all went for the balcony, but in this one she probably held the door closed herself bc she heard jayce opening it, which put her just a few steps closer to the explosion and that was tragically enough to kill her. wild to think that the only thing that kept vi alive was her would-be soulmate dropping something from the box she was carrying on a day they never met
But u can see in this video that they still put the chair up against the handle

I think it could be that the trinket wasn't dropped because Jayce could have been carrying it instead in this universe. It would also mean that Cait and Jayce are closer to the blast and could have also both died.
@@a_for_apocalypse ohh ok I see, I don't remember the scene well so I just assumed this was only what happened in this alternate timeline 😂

@@TheRandyalexit's possible Viktor went into shimmer instead of hextech perfecting chemtech in the process which shows why there was chemtech in the alt universe
The anomoly will be created in any universe , this one is from ekko (or maybe powder after she saw what ekko did with the crystal)
You know, if you stop to think it, if she knew, Vi would be okay with dying, because it would make a world where her family is happy, even if she is not there.
I hate that you're right
If Arcane Vi, The Vi we knew, knows about the other timeline, her siblings and Vander being alive, Zaun having improvements.
She'd be alright with being dead
I thought the same thing
100%
Isn’t about vi it’s about the hextech
I absolutely love how this timeline implies that Powder and the rest were never punished for that. The look on Marcus' face...the horror of seeing a dead child, despite it being from Zaun
Yep, instead of tensions increasing over a successful robbery.
Unity was built of a tragedy that everyone can relate to.
Nobody wants to be “that guy” when dead kids are involved.
So much for the City of Progress.
@@e-man7418 I would be "that guy". Thieves get what's coming to them.
Basically became their 9/11 when people united out of loss and abandoned their local hatred (for a time at least).
Dead teen.
Damn even in another timeline jayce be killing multiple children 🤣
I'd like to think Cait and Vi dying in this timeline as bittersweet, they realy are inseperable
I mean... there is always shimmer....
@@wizardwolf1020 undoubtedly of course
Jayce and Caitlyn probably died with Vi. If they survived, they would’ve been the first to find the kids, not Marcus.
@ in the normal timeline, Jayce gets knocked out from the explosion because he was right at the door trying to get in, and Viktor wasn’t even there, he debuts when Jayce is being questioned during the aftermath of the explosion and is inspecting Jayce’s work
If you also think about it, with Vi's death, Zaun and Piltover united under her passing. Her death reconnected two cities.
I thought it was heimedinger in his 3 years in this universe
Great point, that didn’t cross my mind till you pointed it out
Well, the crystals don't have runes on them
@@Dead25m they never used any particular runes in the crystals but mainly as a fuel source so the crystals meant for acceleration rune could be different from the other implication the others uses

I love the thought that ekko is the boy savoir, but my mind never shut up about how he was the one that made them go to this heist, the one that either make vi die or all the others die because of what powder took from it specifically the fact that ekko followed jayce to his house. Like he was the reason for the big thing yet he is the one that saved the world
I think before Ekko, Jayce & Viktor really set the whole thing off. As we see in the finale
It was viktor(from another universe and time line) who told ekko that there's a huge loot at Jayce apartment.
Jayce never fails to kill a kid........ even in an alternate universe

He's not alive in the timeline he was sent to tho?
That figure, the one that holds down the hammer? It's him
@Rayzenwho That's true. At first, I just thought that wasn't Jayce, but reddit community seems to think it was. That's interesting that Ekko took on the role of the other Ekko and I imagine the same for Heimer rather than being a separate entity in that timeline. Maybe Victor pulled him into that timeline?
@@aVenomousSnake It's pretty clear that that's the case. Heimmer said that the Arcane reacted differently around Jayce

Most likely Caitlyn and Jayce died too ...they were on the opposite side of the wall
She didn’t die tho
I see people in the comments theorizing about how Jayce probably died from the explosion too or that he was banished but I think that he killed himself.
Since a true tragedy came from this event, a child dying, Jayce had immeasurable guilt and had less sympathy from the enforcers, Heimerdinger, or Viktor. Meaning, no one would be there to stop him from taking that step.
besides the fact that her death is so tragic here, I forgot how light Vi's face and eyesockets looked, it's like she's missing all of the trauma that ages her face in the og timeline, the heavy eyebags and wrinkles.. the hardened facial lines, teenage Vi is still so innocent here :(
Whether the universe she's in, Jinx/Powder committed fatal friendly fire
Also she not only caused Vi death but also Jayce, Catlyn and Victor
I also believe Cait died in the explosion as well, since I read somewhere that one of the writers said Caitlyn and Vi are together in every universe, except for the one in which they're both dead (which would be this one)
Violet is the type of person who would be fine with dying if it meant saving her sister from becoming Jinx, saving her father Vander, Benzo and a better Zaun for everyone. This show is so tragic.
The door wasn't barricaded as well, so jayce and cait being gone as well as vi makes sense. I also believe its the reason why jayce ended up in apocalypse town
Now, Riot, as you showed us that universe
We deserve a separate series in that universe
I believe Vi's death may have lead to opening eyes on how dangerous Hextech could be and either Jayce himself decides to let go of his dream or the council themselves took more severe actions to ensure tht Hextech was nvr made.

Nah fuck vi bro 😂😂
I mean vi diddnt have to die jayce just shoulda listened to heimer when he warned him not to fk with hextech
It’s not that Ekko died in the timeline Jayce was in, it’s that he never had the Z drive.
But in deason one vi ausência is diffetentr
Powder think that vi hated her something that make her angry and
While the season 2 she just die for her fault making her fell sad
@@CrispyChristieMAC "as she matured she would have accepted that Vi was ultimately responsible for her own death and not Ekko."
This is a nice idea but it doesn't fully track with what we witness in Ep 7. When Ekko first learns about Vi being gone, the convo goes like this:
E: "Was it you?"
P: "*You* gave us the tip. We went on that job because of you"
E: "The job. That's why there's no hextech here"
P: "You should leave. Go. Before I do something I regret"
In that scene, you can really tell there's some resentment and suppressed hostility coming from Powder -> she still blames him.
Trauma bonding is a thing (typically an unhealthy thing, but I digress) but Ekko doesn't have the same exact kind of trauma to bond over. Maybe they're together because he's been good emotional support and actually shared his feelings
I dont think she blames him but herself, but she doesnt want to admit it she should know the crystal causedthe explosion @libberator5891
Fact about the hex crystals. They are actually the souls of scarners people

Some people may ask, “Why didn’t Powder turn into Jinx after Vi died? That would’ve caused an equal amount of trauma to killing her family and Vi leaving her.”
I’d like to clear things up.
A big part of why Powder became Jinx is because of Silco. He took Powder in, and taught her to be a killer. Plus with all the trauma she had for killing everyone she loved, she would’ve been crazy.
Silco didn’t take in Powder, and Vander could teach her to control her emotions. (Plus Vander’s also mourning too)
Another thing to point out is that Silco and Vander were friends again with Silco still having that damaged eye.
Vi dying here means that Jayce absolutely jumps off the building no matter what, he wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of a child’s death
No Jayce means that Viktor eventually dies of cancer
The best timeline, fucked up enough
Viktor doesn't have cancer.
This show is a true masterpiece.
I always thought that vi should have been hurt in that explosion. It cuts too perfectly to her being on her feet in the original.
And I guess the death of Vi was also the reason Vander sent that letter to Silco.
Cait probably wasnt hurt but jayce i think killed him self and victor didnt stopped him
Vi dying wasn’t the only change.
Why are you shouting?
Jayce at the door: 😮,😑😧
In the best timeline, Ekko never gives Vi the tip about Jayce so they never try to rob him in the first place
Beautiful edit. 🎉
Thank you 🙌
Oh God, seeing these scenes in this sequence honestly makes it hit harder
My personal hc for the rest is :
Victor died around the s1 finale (but wasted away since he had no access to the hexcore)he actually created Blitzcrank while trying to come in terms with his mortality
Sky got a lot closer with Victor and probably became his personal assistant, kinda filling the space Jayce left open (their relationship was similar to season 2 but a lot less physical and a little more
reserved)
Jayce ended himself out of guilt for killing Caitlin (he was ready to do it in the og universe so with the stricter security there was no one there to intervene)
Heimerdinger stepped down as head of the council, since one of his most promising students actually killed someone and was creating magic literally blow his nose (plus the added tragedy of him killing
himself)
Kassandra (Kaitlyn's mom) took over as head of the council and used this tragedy to help the ppl of the under city
(My English is bad sorry 😅, I came up with those ideas while thinking about a fanfic where Jayce ended up in the good universe alongside Ekko and Heimerdinger )
i'm just wondering, for a moment, that everyone claims Vi as the jinx but what if Powder never took those crystals? The building wouldn't have blown up, they wouldn't have been on the run and the overall consequences wouldn't have been as bad - i imagine - so, what would've happened if Powder never took those crystals?
Yooo, I was looking for this comment. People gloss over this very detail!
@ I know! Like so many factors other than vi can lead into a change of what happened but I feel like the heist would’ve been fine if powder didn’t take the crystals
ppl who claim vi as jinx are stupid. it was no one's fault, they were children
@@sittinginbushes exactly! I love Vi and everyone else to bits because they are such well-written, poor little trauma filled children at heart. It's where my point of there being a load of different chain of events going off that led to the events and the ones that took place after.
(Also, i am assuming you were agreeing with my point - or semi-agreeing - so i apologise if you weren't)
Yes but that would mean jayes would have continued to work on hexteck on his own without anyone knowing, and as we know how thing end when hexteck gets developed
I cried with this scene. To this day I still cry.
Jayce definitely killed himself in this timeline
I think what’s tragic for me is no matter if it’s a good or bad universe, both sisters can’t live in a world together, no matter what, they still lose each other.
Unpopular point of view: Powder in a parallel vers isn't happy and light version of herself. She lives with thought, that she kills her sister. Her potential as an inventor has not been revealed (she helps Ekko from the parallel vers, but did original Ekko need her inventive talent?) She talks with a dead Vi, because she can't let her go. But she still stores hextek
Well...
Well she’s definitely happier than the one in our prime universe.
Part of me think’s either Jayce died in the explosion or He got arrested because of gemstone’s killing vi
What if... Vi wasn't fast enough?
Hmm.. that’s interesting. I agree with you.
Killing Vi, Caitlyn and Jayce were a big dan butterfly effect
The more you analyze this timeline, the more parallels you see
Also, vi was ultimately the one to inspire powder into using the blue things as weapons
Ahah the pincers holding the gems are base on Viktor's mechanical additional arm
Ok, that's a good universe, also without war. But I can't imagine a world without my beloved Vi ❤😢
Same, every time I watch that scene.. hits me soo hard.
Such a good episode!
What is episode?
I never seen this scene

The way that cait and jayce also probably died😭
So Vi was really the main character afterall, she influenced many things
😶🙌🏻
I would like to think that Jayce died because he ended up killing himself when he tried to in season 1
Someone pointed out that there were 3 hex crystals that exploded and thats why it caused the death of vi, jayce and caitlyn. Where in the original universe they all only got knocked over because of the one crystal.
I can't take it seriously bc of Milo's bigass eyebrows‼️😭😭
I couldn't highlight which scene would lead to Vis death in that verse. This pieces it perfectly. Thanks
Glad you like it♥️
What i don't understand is , it's not vi's sacrifice that makes the other universe better , it's the arcane that never been utilize as hextech , if viktor really is time traveling to undo it , then why give jayce the arcane everytime? why not just save jayce from the snowstorm then stop there. Viktor never explained it , he just give the rune to jayce to stop him(viktor) , like you can start by not giving the rune at the first place.
and I also don't understand how there's even a future Viktor if he dies of his disease
I find this heartbreaking 😭
STOP IM CRYING
In the original version they kinda foreshadow this as a possibility. We see the kids out on the balcony before Vi comes out and they flee. But for a moment, the viewer is left wondering if she made it out.
Wasn't Jayce about to jump off but got stopped by Viktor?
So like, did he self exit in this timeline orrr...😭
don't forget that in this timeline, viktor will have died due to his disease. jayce would have been killed by the blast, severely injured or very well imprisoned by the council as his hextech would have caused the death of a child and they would have had no mercy on him. Not sure about Caitlin, but she didnt look like she was very close to the blast at all, so i guess she would have just grown up as a member of her household and lived her very privileged life. Most of the bad people in this timeline would have been killed or suffered terrible fates such as lifetime imprisonment.
What an edit
This is cruel 😢
People also tend to forget that Heimerdinger landed here 3+ years earlier than Ekko with all the knowledge he had gained from being removed from the council and going to Zaun. Only now, he is still on the council, so he had the power to make a lot of positive changes in how Piltover handles Zaun. This might not be directly tied to Hextech, but it definitely helped lead to the world Ekko saw when he got there.
wonder what happened to jayce and viktor after this.
Probably the council did not forgive Jayce in this universe, it makes sense since this time his experiment not only destroyed a building but killed someone, also the council would have banned hextec and Victor simply continued as Heimmerdinger's assistant
