this is very cool, finish the levels and all the object placements and surely ill love it way more than i already am. (my favorite level is also bumper yard, i love the pinball aesthetic at the start.)
this whole fan game thing is really unique and you are probably the only one that had time to do this, huge props, also im making a 2 act zone based off the first level you made with my own gimmicks if you dont mind
Sunshine Shores: Short, could do with more rings and needs to establish its gimmicks better Egg City Ruins: Could be harder, and have unique gimmicks, but overall good with very clear pacing Sandopolis Hill Act 1: Quite good, although maybe indicate the pits. Correct. Sandopolis Hill Act 2: Really good, I love the setting. Although the speed section drags slightly. Marble Caves Act 1: About your average Marble level, not bad, with good difficulty. And what Toxic Caves remix is that using? I love it. Marble Caves Act 2: A very good setting, and mostly more of Marble Caves Act 1, which was great to start with. Ends before it starts though. Bumper Yard Act 1: A casino level done correctly, I suppose. Maybe a tad generic, but otherwise not much bad to it Bumper Yard Act 2: Sunset is a tad difficult on the eyes. And I do not like the waiting at the beginning, at least add some obstacles. And then it ends. Labyrinth Forest Act 1: Very good. Challenging, full of secrets, nice setting, intuitive pacing (although that is a given with Labyrinth) Also a decent length compared to some other levels. And nice SBZ Act 3 ending :) Labyrinth Forest Act 2: Well that was a drastic change... Gameplay and design wise? It's more of the same, just tougher, which is how you want it. Launch Night Act 1: Aside from this being the 2nd zone to use Starlight, it isn't terrible per se. The water is a bit random though... Launch Night Act 2: A pretty good chase sequence ig. Maybe make the timer tighter. Lake Factory Act 1: Good ig not much to say Lake Factory Act 2: Test level done right for the most part. Although there's too much breaking glass bumpers. Tone it down and add obstacles I say. Good length aswell. Flying Fortress Act 1: *screw you I was gonna call one of my levels that* Great! Airship level done well, with split paths and stuff. Too short tho. Flying Fortress Act 2: So uhhhhh, what's the setting here meant to be? Either way not bad, if a tad easy. Flying Fortress Act 3: your starlight addiction aside, this one's nice. Egg Station Act 2 was meant to be based off of Titanic Monarch 2. Unfortunately, CSS doesn't have teleporters. 6. Starlight was overused due to the lack of mechanical themed levels in CSS. Not trying to justify anything, I also agree my levels are way too short, I can't make full length levels. Also, if you wanted to see what it was intended to look like, just scroll down on my channel, past the fnf and mega maker stuff, and you should see "Sonic Exploration", which was what I was going to call it before I realized making an actual fangame is difficult. ~Thanks! This is the same thing for my css fangame which is sonic into eggman's base but quickly it got canceled due to lack of levels which was the 20 level slots which means i can only make 20 levels so i cant get to the extra zone but when v13 came out i decided to remaks the whole fangame but it was renamed to sonic and the lost islands so im working on its levels so sonic and the lost islands (or SATLI for short) was gonna have like 32 levels but that was way too much like it was gonna have 31 levels for sonic into eggman's base or sieb so satli is gonna have like 22 levels for now on
I'm making a Sonic fangame in CSS as well called Sonic: Crystal Chaos, although the original name for it was Sonic: Pedal to the Metal, which is way more cooler :-|
