While we appreciate your talent, it was clearly the new gloves that accomplished that lap time.
I'm your 666 likes
TheBlackAngel who gives a fuck if your his 666th like
tarrayne gee and who gives a fuck about your stupid opinion? Exactly, no one so just shut your mouth.
tarrayne gee funny the fact your about 10 year old dishing out abuse on RUclips because if you weren’t behind your phone or computer you’d cry 😂
@sven kip and who in the fuck wanted your opinion? Absolutely no one, now shut your fucking mouth
The sneaky "Henlo" 919 in the thumbnail
Reminds me of all those cute shiba inu vids I cant stop watching
Erik Rasmussen i can't stop too, such cute, much doggo, amaze
@@ddt3619 i suggest you watch the suki and shiro channel. Those little potats are gonna kill me with cuteness
Erik Rasmussen i'll watch, thanks
Btw nice conversation under a sim racing video :D
@@eriktruchinskas3747 THE POTATS
Everyone gangsta until Jimmer brings the X2010 to Bathurst.
Sub 70 seconds
I've actually done that, got a 1.16 or 1.14 lap, it was so scary yet so fun
The Tomahawk
@@myk1137 sub 60 seconds
I was there that day, Jenson went out on a damp track when he set his fastest time. Plus the demo Pirelli's are as hard as concrete too, which didn't help his lap time one bit. What was cool though was earlier in the morning watching Jenson with his father John in the passenger seat drive the wheels off a AMG Benz around the track as he was learning it. Met John later in the day and he was an awesome bloke.
I only have one question was jenson driving for mclaren at 2008?
@@kertjj3522 Nope he was not, It was Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen, who were the McLaren drivers in 2008, Jenson did not go to McLaren until 2010.
The god slayer yeah but he wasn’t really going for a really fast time
Μιχαλης Κολλατος he was at Honda at the time
Honda went bankrupt at the end of the season and so Ross brawn bought it (creating Brawn GP) and Jenson drove for him to win the championship
Jenson’s Dad was an awesome lad. I miss him around the F1 paddock and such. I’ve never met him but I got to see Jenson drive in Australia 2016.
That 919 lap was mental, can't imagine reacting that fast.
if u think that´s fast, then imagine what the redbull x2010 would be
That 919 lap is truly one of the scariest laps I've ever seen. I don't think anyone would have the kahoonaz to push that hard on Bathurst in real life. I wouldn't even in a sim. Nice lap Jimmy!
Absolutely insane. Almost 3/4’s of the time it takes a fully trimmed out V8 to do a pole lap here. Ridiculously quick, especially when he’s going over the top of the mountain
Just imagine the G Forces involved. LOL.
@@rafaelmoutinho3366 but the 919 is real
That felt like it was in x2 over the hill
Yeah that downforce really changes that part of the track hey
little did Jimmy know, that a year and a half later, he'd be sim-racing with Jenson button himself.
Little did he know, that he would be a real racer.
Little did he know, he'd be a race winner.
Little did he know that he would be a championship winner
Little did he know, he would be racing an M4 GT4 at the N24
I remember when Jenson did this and beforehand in theory it was believed that the F1 could do 1.38 at Bathurst. But when it came time to do his laps, there were a couple of problems. the gear ratios were set up for Albert Park and because of the camber that Mt Panorama had, the bottom of the car was scraping on the road. Also Jenson said that was the first time that he had ever driven around Mt Panorama and how unique it is, it would take him a fair few laps before really understood how to drive around the track.
What is remarkable on that day was Craig Lowndes was only 1 second slower. Considering that was the first time driving an F1 car and it had been years since he had been in an open wheeler. Admittedly Craig knows the circuit quite well which would have been an advantage, still that shows just how good a driver Craig is. A shame he was not able to showcase his skills on the world stage.
Tom Newham Lowndes was always my favourite driver
Saying Craig knows Bathurst quite well is understatement of the century like saying Lewis Hamilton or Michael Schumacher are fairly successful F1 drivers
Jordi Lew very true
Button didn't go anywhere near his maximum. Obviously he was told not to anyway, as having a accident on the hill could be death in a F1 car. Plus he needed to be at the Aus GP next week. I would say high 1min 30's
I saw Lowndesy win the Bathurst 1000 in '08, I was stoked as I was travelling the country in an old Falcon at the time. I still remember the chants: LOOOOOWWWWWND-SEEEYYYYYYYY!
Bathurst, gotta be one of the best tracks on the planet!
Nah man have u seen oval racing those tracks are crazy
@@bil5479 lol that has to be a joke
I live about 2ks from the track, can clearly see the Mount from my front yard.
bigfella yeah nice, I’m from WA went to the race a couple of years ago box seats on the pit straight,so good!
Ruben Fraser nah man they just turn left
368km/h down Conrod. YEET!
you need to see the speed of a hennessy venom/koenigsegg agera rs down the road,,*_* 380+ kmh ^^ i would like to race this track in rl :/ but its 14000 km away :/
@@simonwolff9935 I would like to do that speed with the Regera mod for AC, except that its development made the brakes pure shiite
And Conrod used to have no chase....it was introduced to slow them down.
@@simonwolff9935
Impossible....it's a public road any other time....speed limit 60kph and a hot bed for Police radar.
@@AUmarcus :/ i wont give a damn and would push a v12 to the limit if i had one :D here in germany thers a part of a public road which had some similiaries but isnt as long as the one of mount panorama D:
The last lap in the F1 car was absolutely AMAZING!!!! You were soooo freaking commited!
i particularly enjoyed the lockup going down the hill. if i do that i usually end up in the wall
Yeah, watching that lap I actually felt like I was sitting in a racecar.
Freaking
New 'How fast can X lap Bathurst' series confirmed? :D
“Try to beat Scott McLaughlin’s Bathurst Lap Record Challenge” video?
I second that
I third that opinion
I fourth that
Fifth that
He’s gotta do it in a V8 Supercar tho
I'd forgotten just how brutal that 919 is... however, for some reason, I find myself remembering
Nice i luv it thrilling scary very pro most mistakes on cold ones has a huge chance of youre end brock in a f1 gr8 screaming jet sound also yeah all round from me
Ethan Kearley looks easier to drive than the McLaren.
Let me be absolutely clear, Mate you can drive.
Unless they want to die I don’t think anyone would try this irl
Cassarolle nah u seen tt bikes. People have done crazier things
A lot if people will try this if you let them...
Bathurst isn't up to f1 standards and it can't really be ever but I highly recommend watching the bathurst 12 hours
What a great video. Your history knowledge, the story telling and the attention to detail. Make more like this one please. Thank you
That last lap in the McLaren and the flying lap in the Porsche were some of the most exciting things Ive ever watched in a sim. VR takes the experience to another level and Im not even the one driving. Along with Spa, Bathurst is one of my absolute favourite circuits in the world

"It's Broadbent! Martin, that looks as if he just rubbed the wall there"
"You're right there, Murray"
Unless I’m very much mistaken...I am very much mistaken...it’s Broadbent in the McLaren. He made contact with the barrier.
Loved this video jimmy. We need more Bathurst on the channel 🚗🌬
you know it's gonna be interesting when the title includes the word "Destroying"
Spontaneous but thoroughly entertaining. I had to resubscribe a couple of months ago because when I deleted my old Google account that don't use anymore, I realised I was still logged in to RUclips with my old Google account and all my subscriptions were there. Anyway all your old videos are coming up on my recommendations again so I get to enjoy my favourites all over again.
200 mph across Bathurst mountain CRAZY!! Can't believe how fast the corners were taken! Great video great ride! Thanks
Nice basically 2 vids in 1
Does anyone else think Jimmy sounds like Murray Walker? The accent, the timbre and the enthusiasm are just right (perhaps with fewer gaffs…)!
I’ve driven around this track in a Ford Mondeo. It’s a regular road when no racing on. Lady selling plums from her gate on the Conrod straight.
The amazing thing about driving around Mt Panorama in real life is just how crazy steep it is. It's something that you just don't pick up watching on TV, or, as it seems, driving sims. The climb from Griffins up to the cutting is brutal.
Glad to see you played our Australian track.
Well done! It just goes to show that a lot of time can be made up approaching skyline and then managing the increased speed on the way down. Only a few are true masters of this... Peter Brock to name one. It takes true courage in the real world.
Holy Moly watching you drive the 919 evo is hypnotising. Just raw awesome!
For the first time watching one of your videos I was legitimately pumped watching this lap. I'm always excited but I was clenching and screaming when that Porsche went up and down the hill!!!
That was great, Jimmer... Really get a feeling of the rush with that VR view
Fun fact: the main straight going down the track is called Conrod straight, back in the old days they didn't even have "The Chase" as apart of it (the sweeping left right corner after the right hand bend, it was just one giant long straight they changed it after numerous high speed deaths, the name came from the cars throwing conrods from pushing down the straight to hard.
That was great in the F1! Well done. Bathurst circuit outside of the race season, is a road open to the public - I drove it in real life a few years ago in my road car. Amazing track (but police speed traps everywhere!).
Oh the memories this car brings back!
I was a boy back then and out of the blue I saw a young man on the wheel of the McLaren! And he blew them all away, lost the championship that great year (2007) BUT I knew that he was gonna be a champion!
What a double gift from ya Jimmy! That last lap was scary af🔥🔥
Not the X2010? Granted, I don't think it can get over the mountain without killing any occupants, but it should still be somewhat interesting.
Pietersielie Pretorius I tried that a couple weeks ago and I think I got somewhere between 1.05 and 1.15, I know that's a big gap but my memory is awful haha. my driving was decent though I think
Jimmer you should try to wrestle a Stadium Super Truck around the Nordschleife
In his last lap in the f1 car it looked like he was channeling Senna. The car was just twitching around at the very limits. Amazing stuff jimmer.
Shoulda turned the TC back on with the MP4/22 but that 919 EVO lap was absolutely insane
That lap was mega impressive man, kudos to you. 🤝
I stopped watching initial d to see this
David Varela initiaaal D, initial D
Breathtaking tension. Great driver!! Respect. Australia.
God knows how much I missed your hotlap videos Jimmy. Good to have you back finally!
J'étais en apnée tout le long de la vidéo et toi tu conduis en nous parlant......impressionnant!
Love this video. The 2007 MP4-22 driven by Fernando Alonso was sold in 2018, once sold. It was shipped across to the USA to go to a private collector who then took the car to IMS. That private collector is my father! Having this car in our garage is flipping bonkers. The car takes 7 people not including the driver to start and manage and when running at idle, you still need earplugs to think
What other cars is in your fathers collection? Great investment to go with inflation to avoid loss of buying power if money was in the bank. Smart guy your Dad😊
Wowww that lap in the 919 Evo was perfect! Using the whole width of the track coming millimeters from the walls, hitting the braking points and apexs. Man that was intense. Good shit!
British RUclipsr DESTROYS librul laptime with SPEED.

Amazing driving sir. Many years ago I professionally photographed many a race at Bathurst and even had a Porsche Cup pilot drive me in my car (back then a 3 series Beemer) around a few laps. It's a hell of a track and I've witnessed some pretty fast driving around there but your 'virtual' drive was right up there for viewer excitement. Your voice even conveyed G-forces - you are not Murray Walker's grandson are you? :-) Cheers and thanks from Sydney - Dave
Last time i checked your youtube account you just passed 100k subs now you are at 167K WOW!
Hard work pays off dude.
Dude that was insane driving. Well done on not hitting the wall.
Brilliant Stuff Jimmers, The times you were putting in over one of the Hardest Tracks was just Amazing. Love your videos/races & look forward to your next Venture ;-)
I never realized how scary bathursts infield is. Crazy stuff and probably the most horrifying vid I´ve seen a long time
HUGE respect
Even scarier for real.
Imagine the chaos if f1 raced at mount panorama
If I recall correctly, they were speculating the f1 cars could've potentially lapped around 1.40 as a rough guess. Pretty close!
I’ve gotten 1:50 on sim racing, using a 90s Ferrari f1 car
Nice freaking driving, absolute pleasure with great commentary like that.
That commentary during that lap was awsome
Beautiful drive this was the craziest lap ive ever seen at bathurst
Jenson actually had slicks on in his run, if you wanted to be precise
That 919 Evo lap was epic. Amazing driving Jimmer!
By far my favorite circuit.
Hooning around this track is insane. Utter gold, keep it up 👍
I once smashed a shit-hot 20 minute blistering Bathurst lap in my 1967 VC Valiant wagon, screaming down through the dipper at a diaper-soiling 5mph. Wild times indeed. Fully loaded with traveling crap and 4 cases of VB, dead rear shocks, glistening headlights and the best set of hubcaps you've ever seen.
The best I've seen you drive in all your videos, great job Jimmy!
jesus christ this is insane....i just ordered a wheel and pedals....now...i will order oculus and start fromthere. amazing driving as usual jimmers
That evo lap was astonishing. Brilliant.
wow that game gives you such a sense of speed...
Almost 2 years later you beat him.... awesome
Do the McLaren mp4/20 at Bathurst!!
And the Mp4/7.
We'll try and get F'man to do it. 🙃
And the AK-47
Mp4/31
MasterCard Lola.
that 919 is pure excellence
And now Jimmy holds the lap record
Bathurst and the 919 Evo was a combination I didn't know I needed.
You need to come to the Bathurst 1000 at least one time in your life! I've been twice and loved every minute of it!
Those small v8 f1 cars just look incredible.
I thought this was going to be crap but turned out to be fascinating!!! great stuff
I was saying to myself when Jimmy said that he should bring the 919 that it's nuts. A blink of the eyes and we're in a 919. Great driving
I didn’t know they allowed plebs to drive this car. Was there a rule change?
@@HammyMansell80 if you don't like what he does, don't watch him. It's as simple as that. And everything you said about him earning a fortune from doing nothing is a lie. It takes a lot of effort and hours of practise to record and edit a video. It can be very tiring. Not only that, he earns money through various companies by sponsorships and that sort of thing. I sense a hint of jealousy in you because of the money he earns.
@jonny j I never said it's the hardest thing ever. I said it can still be hard to create the right video. I'm not fanboying either. Just because I am proving a point it doesn't mean I'm fanboying
lmfao @@HammyMansell80
The 919 was absolutely mental. Way to wrestle it around.
One of the best tracks out there would love to go here one day
Only about 2.5 hrs west of Sydney.
Nice vid jimmer this vid was really good for me as i was actually at the event where my 2 favourite drivers jenson button and craig lowndes drove their own cars then swapped cars very good vid boi
I was so spooked when the wheels lifted during the breakzone before the downhill bits
Youve managed to attract lots of aussie viewers with this one
The 919 lap was breathtaking. Good job
The sense of speed on this game absolutely mental.
Jesus just looking at how fast you can talk while hot lapping... that's real talent!
I love Bathurst, it's so fun to drive.
I imagine the replays of those runs look superb
That. Was. Awesome. One of your better videos.
Looks like a fun circuit to drive!

My g forgot about the Lotus 98T lmfaooo
I came to see the F1 lap. Yet Bathurst with that 919 evo? Nice lap, Jimmy!
That was fantastic. I was laughing at the thumbnail thinking it was just a funny addition but when you said you'd lap the 919 I was literally cheering lmao
That 919 evo lap was mental
Jensen remarked that he missed a few corner entries/apexes and a couple of braking markers. He said that he would have liked half a day to really dial in the car for the track. Has anyone ever mentioned that you sound uncannily similar to the late Murray Walker? BTW : That was an insane correction under braking into the ‘Elbow’ on your 1min38sec lap. Best race track on the planet imo (and not just because I’m an Aussie).
Moar Bathurst lap challenge needed.
Mate, that 919 Evo lap was the most exciting racing lap I’ve ever seen, sim OR real! 😂
So fast it looks like its in fast forward. Impressive performance Jimmy
Hi Jimmy, that was absolutely amazing!!! Cheers from Australia.
One of the best "Breaking lap record" you've ever done!
This is my favorite track of all time
Not sure if someone suggested that already, but there is a far better version of Bathurst available on the AC track reboot website.
