How to Password Protect Your Pendrive | Lock A Pen Drive with Password (Windows)

You can add password protection to your pendrive/thumbdrive without using any third-party software. Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and 11 have the Bitlocker program that you can use to protect your drive by adding a password to it. In this video, we are going to learn how you can password-protect your pen drive with Bitlocker.
The USB drive or pen drive is a great way to transfer files and folders. Many people today carry a pendrive in their pockets. But sometimes, we put sensitive information on our pendrive that might be harmful for us if it falls into the wrong hands. For this reason, it is wise to password-protect your pendrive if you have some confidential or personal files in your pendrive.
In this video, we will learn how you can put a password on your pendrive. So whenever your pendrive is inserted into a supported computer, it will require a password to access the pen drive. We will use the Windows Bitlocker program to accomplish this task. However, if someone formats your password-protected pen drive, then your pen drive will be unlocked. But people won’t be able to access the contents of the pendrive because those will be deleted by the formatting.
