You make it look easy. I'm pooping my pants thinking about just adjusting my valve clearance. Well done.

    Great video amigo.
Why did you reinstall the balance shafts? Most people in America choose to delete them.
Also saw you install a sleeve in the cylinder bore. Can you give more information on this?

Do these engines have a liner/sleeve by default, or do you need to bore the block to make room for it?

No. And honestly they don’t need to be sleeved they are cast iron closed deck blocks

OLÁ 22/06/24 Com a chave de impacto a ar comprimido é fácil desmontar o motor, e mais ainda, é a forma perfeita de danificar um parafuso. A Marreta deve ser guardada no banheiro. Aferir e conferir exigiria maiores conhecimentos técnicos. Quem será a próxima vítima? Roberto Udo Krapf

      Hello Roberto,
Thank you for your comment. It seems like you're pointing out the potential risks of using a compressed air impact wrench, specifically how it can easily disassemble an engine but also damage screws. You also mentioned that the sledgehammer should be stored in the bathroom, which sounds unusual. Could you clarify what you mean by assessing and checking requiring greater technical knowledge? Additionally, your question about the next victim is intriguing; could you elaborate on what you are referring to?

I have worked on diesel engines, gasoline (petrol) engines, steam - gas - wind and nuclear turbines, paper machines and steel factory screws and presses, refinery compressors & pumps and dozens of other types of machinery. Applied engineering bachelor degree.
While I generally agree with you on finesse and skill over brute strength and “sledgehammer mechanic” skills,
You seem like a real arrogant fucker to come here with such an attitude after this gentleman took his time to make this video and share with us.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

We install the balance shaft so that the engine is smooth without vibration and the piston sleeves are installed so that we can put standard size pistons otherwise we have to put oversize pistons.

      @@mirzamec9322 thanks for the reply.
How much did you have to bore the block to make the liner sleeve fit?
Deleting the balance shafts makes these engines much more reliable. The balance shafts are not properly oiled so have seen a lot of failures from the wear of the balance shafts sending metal thru the engine. The back 2 holes in the block are not fed oil and rely on splash lubrication. This is a flaw in the design. Most rebuilds in America opt to remove them. The front block holes are plugged to seal off the oil gally holes. Then use a timing chain oil squiter from a 2Rz engine to keep oil on the camshaft timing chain. This modification also frees up a bit of horsepower.
I saw your from Pakistan. I’m American but my wife is Indian. I’m watching your video from India on a trip here. Namaste
