Joy, you are so enjoyable to watch!! I understand exactly what you are talking about w/ your husband!! It gets old trying to have a conversation w/ someone who is quiet and reserved. So, we end up talking to ourselves, until we can get out in the real world again! Stay sane. ❤️
Nope! I have several pages in my notebook with “JOY” on the top. I have all my favorite videos saved in a sewing section on You Tube. I thank you so much for being an amazing instructor, seamstress, your humor and wit, make me laugh and smile, love of Jesus! ❤️❤️
You can talk to yourself all you want Hun, Its when you start answering back that there will be a problem. LOL Your sweet, and a Pioneer in the field of saving our "purchased/Owned classes" in Blueprint and Craftsy! Thanks a million....
I’m absolutely distraught 😩 about it. I’ve been with them almost 10 years and there is still so much to learn . Truly that back catalogue of Craftsy classes are like gold. If they just go away that is a crime. 😩
I totally agree. The quality of their Classes was great. They were such good value and you could revisit them as needed. I had been to several so called classes in person and I was often disappointed by the quality and the depth of information portrayed by the teachers. often it is presumed that a person who can do a task can actually teach someone else. that is rarely the case. good teachers are a rarity. Joy teaches us really well because she always communicates all the steps. we are fortunate to enjoy her lessons.
I was interested in the Blueprint subscriptions... I really do my homework with everything.... NEVER believe in forever! That was the first red flag for me. Long story short, I never got a subscription, because I never saw ANY new content in one year on there. Some had disappeared. So I knew it wasn’t going to last long. Glad I didn’t pay for membership.
Joy I'm so glad you mentioned this. I have started downloading all of my patterns that I have from Craftsy/Bluprint. I have over 400 so I'm starting to decide if I like some of them enough to take the time to download them.
I have that plastic picture frame for a picture of my grandsons. I got it at Dollar Tree. They had three different sizes. Love your talks. My husband is retired too and he doesn't talk much either. But we do have to be safe and stay home because of our age and my husband's health issues. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.😊
When you download videos in Bluprint, they are accessible in the Bluprint app without having to stream them or when you don’t have internet. If you go in Bluprint library you can find them but that doesn’t help if the Bluprint app goes away.
Hey Joy, You and I are twins for sure. BTW, royal blue is your color for sure. I live in north Texas and all of my husband’s family is from Kingston. I didn’t even know anyone was aware of the place until you and Leon started channels!!!! Lol. I enjoy watching you and hearing the same about your antics. Keep up your Christian promotion. It is always good to go public with your beliefs and let others know what is important in your life. 😁

Such a beautiful top you are wearing today, Joy! I'm so sorry for everybody who purchased Craftsy/Blueprint classes. Such a terrible thing that company has done. Thank you for the link to the sewing caddy, that would be a nice project to start now for Christmas gifts.
This was the first I had heard of the problem with Blueprint. I am super disappointed! I did have a thought. Most of the teachers probably have books or websites. I had gone through all of Suzy Furrer’s pattern drafting classes. I downloaded the ones today for the slopers and reprinted the materials but then realized when I first took her classes, I bought her book! I am a visual learner so I’m going to rewatch her classes just so they are more fresh in my mind. I sure hope they figure out how to let us keep the classes because I have 20 or so I really learned tons from. The others I don’t care so much about.
One way to download to your computer is to use an internet extension. The drawback is that you may have to download one lesson at a time and name each lesson file. You should be able open the class in multiple browser tabs so that you can download multiple lessons simultaneously. The CEO stated in the letter that they are looking tor various ways to get our videos to us. I hope they can because I have a lot of classes that I purchased at full price.
I certainly hope they figure out how to "allow" us to download them to our computers. I have plenty of room there, plus I could always store them on an external hard drive. But putting them on my iPhone is not an option. They won't fit. I just got off the phone with Apple, and if I put them on my phone or iPad with my photos and videos, and they go up to the iCloud, I can't then erase them off my phone, or they will automatically erase from the cloud as well. What a racket! They know exactly what they're doing. They want to appear to be working with us, but still have our classes hostage. Sorry, just very angry right now.
So sorry about what is going on with blue print. Hopefully all of you will be able to download the classes. I loved the sewing caddy. This is little idea I had. I had my sewing things in drawers and containers and it would drive me nuts finding what I needed. So I bought those things that are clear and have the pockets and you can hang on a hook on the back of a door or on the wall. Now I can see everything I have and pick what I need very quickly.
I smell a class action lawsuit coming on if they don’t fix this! When I purchased all my classes, they promised lifetime access!!! I haven’t viewed half of the classes I purchased!
I have purchased 172 classes, and I to have not even had a chance to watch over half of mine. This is just wrong! If they don’t let us download them to our PCs to back them up, then we are owed refunds for each and every class.
I agree! I don’t have as many classes as some of you, but it clearly states on their page “lifetime” access to the classes. Yes, since they’re closing shop, they do need a way for us to download the classes.
Joy, on the home page of your iPad you will see a highlighted bar across the bottom of the screen, It will have about five different icons on it. There should be an icon that looks like a little blue file folder; click on that. It will take you to your downloads . Look at the left hand column,”Browse”, click on the icon that says, “On My IPad”. Good luck! 😊
Thank you for sharing. I have classes on there also. Going to log in to see if I can find something out. I probably wouldn't find any more than you have but I going to give it a try.
So my son is a gamer and showed me how to use the xbox download. The biggest challenge is that it only downloads as the class is playing. Meaning that I have to play the entire class. Some classes are 6 hours long and you have to press record at the start of every section. I have 30 plus classes. I'm very disheartened right now. I have checked into a downloader but you need a separate harddrive to store to or it will completely bog down your computer. I'm hoping there is a solution that is accessible to everyone.
Joy I didn't even know about Bluprint's plans. Thank you for letting us know. I don't know if this works but try checking the browser's download page to see if the class content went there. It is in the browser's drop down menu that has history, bookmarks, new tab, etc
Joy thank you for all your good work. I downloaded the blueprint app and all my classes but the files are not in my files folder only on the app. Thanks 😘☺️ again for your wonderful ❤️❤️ work Margaret from Australia 😊
I am in the same boat 100+ classes that I love to watch all the time... I read on Cashmerette's instagram that Bluprint is trying to figure out a way for us to keep our classes some how. Cross fingers it is a fair resolution.
Carla Lissa They should at least make them avsilsbloe for download... I can through craftsy app on my ipad, but not on my PC. IT is of course not at all practicle to download to the ipad at all... noody would buy a class and not being able to access them
Gee, even if they make the classes available for download, how many of us have disk space to store fifty, or seventy, or a hundred videos? That is a lot of memory. I know that, at one point, I tried to download just four classes to my iPad for a trip I was taking and the iPad ran out of memory. That is when I discovered that the stupid Bluprint iPad app doesn’t provide a way to remove the videos that you downloaded. No way to delete them off of the iPad. And the iPadOS provides a way to see how much storage is being used by data associated with an app, but does not provide a way to delete that data, because they naturally assume that the app will provide data management for its associated data. Nope, not the Bluprint app. The only solution was for me to uninstall the Bluprint app, which also causes all the associated data to be deleted, and then reinstall the app. I was not exactly impressed with this awesome “design feature”.
@@Joy4650B I don't know about the Dollar store but you used to be able to buy the slanted acrylic holder at Michaels. I would guess almost any hobby store would have them. I have no clue what they would cost though, especially if you wanted 12.
On my iPad I save pdf and stuff to iBook you can create folders to. When you open page there is circle ⭕️ clock or map icon click it, then you use forward icon - like your sending it in text , then instead use message tab you open more then select “iBook “ it saves in there. You can then email them to yourself.
I am hoping to trust that Bluprint will let us have our classes on dvd or something equally similar, but what I'm worried about is the 2 that I've started with my membership and not bought. I haven't finished either project yet. One is a stranded knitting project that I'm loving, and the other is drafting a skirt. I am so worried I won't have time to finish these projects that I'm slow at before they are gone. So that's on my to do list this week! Those poor instructors! I sure hope they can keep the rights to their classes!
Apparently, NBC is starting up their own streaming service, calling it Peacock, as we speak. Won’t be surprised to see everything from Craftsy/Bluprint to migrate to their new streaming platform.....
I literally saw last night in my checking account on June 6 where Bluprint billed my checking account for my monthly fee Can they do that because I thought as of may 31st they were done. Any ideas?
Before Bluprint, Craftsy gave you the ability to download your classes. I only did a few at the time on my iPad as I liked watching them in-flight when I used to travel a lot for work. It was easy, just hit the downward facing arrow. I can’t recall if I deleted them or lost them when transitioning from my old iPad to new, but the whole download was available and a simple process. I think that capability should always have been made available to anyone who purchased a class. For me the frustration is that there has been no further update from Bluprint on where they are at in the process. Updates would ease the concern and anxiety people are feeling at the moment. I own a vast number of classes and doing want to lose them ☹️
I own around 60 crafty/bluprint classes I managed to download 2 classes on my iPad. You have to download the bluprint app from the App Store I only have a 32gb iPad I mainly use it to watch bluprint it will only fit about 4 classes before the memory is full. You can’t download on a laptop or onto a memory stick.
I was extremely upset about blueprint!!! I didn't find out in time and had coupons for 6 classes I was waiting to use. Now I have lost them for sure. I'm trying to free up space in my tablet. I will pick my most important classes and try to download them first. Verizon said a sims card will only help if blueprint will allow it. Apparently they won't. I feel bad for everyone loosing classes. So expensive! Hope you can find a way.
Boy...that was not very good news you shared about Bluprint. I immediately went over there and started poking around. I don’t know if you saw the Letter to Customers...but it does appear that they are trying to work something out that will allow us to keep the ones we’ve purchased. Frankly, I’ll believe that when it happens. I too go back and reference them. I’ll see if we can figure out anything on this end...you already have two techies working on it so I doubt very much if my teckie son can help.
Personally I think they should send us dvd's of all our classes on their dime. I have close to 300 classes I've purchased for lifetime "forever". Pffft, they didn't have the kahones to send email about it, you have to go find it on the website. UGH,
@@amendez6358 I feel your pain I have 244 I learnt how to draft sewing patterns on Craftsy. I hope they honour their plan to ensure we have a way to continue with access to our classes. Im so disappointed and I don't think I'll be buying any type of subscriptions in the future.
I found my stuff in the "documents" app on my kindle fire home home page that's all I have right now, no laptop. My sister has a smart phone, that is where she finds her stuff. If that does not work, you can buy a kindle fire for as little as fifty dollars, would be worth the investment to get back all that stuff, if it does not work, you can download music on it to listen to while sewing. Good luck!
Beverly how do you begin the download from Blueprint? I have a Kindle Fire. I would like to check and begin downloading my classes. Thank you in advance!
JOY ! ! I had not heard about Bluprint ! ! ! I have 71 classes ! ! I am sooooo MAD ! ! The instructors should be up in arms as well. They put there hard work out there, we bought it and now it is going away ! ! I want DVD's of all my classes by gosh ! ! Have to calm down . . . . . . . .
The instructors are mad! I feel really bad for how they were used and now, abused. A very sad thing for them after all the time and effort and travel they put into their classes.
@@Joy4650B I wish they would let us download the classes or provide us with DVD's. I learned so much from these wonderful instructors, I don't want to loose it all. Oh by the way, I have learned a heck of a lot from your wonderful videos as well. You make it so fun and your results are just stunning ! Keep up the wonderful job you are doing. I have 2 sisters that live in OK, in the north east part, I live in Utah. Can't handle that humidity back there anymore ! ! ((hugs))
Thanks for sharing the caddy pattern. I was going to purchase the Ann top pattern. I have been trying to decide for sure. I watched her video and it seemed like it worked so easy. What should I look for on the sizing? You are rolling in the dough with Amazon and RUclips. Lol well, I did purchase a few things with your links. The latest being the wheel ruler, it just came in today. Thanks for hanging out with me!
Thank you Shirette. The price is the same whether you link or not, so I always use links if RUclipsrs leave one. If you are the same size all over, then the pattern might work for you. When I use the size I need for my bust, the armholes are gigantic.
Hi Joy. Good on you for spreading the news. I wouldn’t have known about it if I had not stumbled upon a comment on Pinterest. It would have been better for them to email their statement to everyone. I do hope they don’t make everyone wary of this kind of purchase.in the future.
I was really upset to learn about Bluprint too Joy....read the letter just yesterday. I don't think I'll be able to download those classes, but will poke around some and see if there is a way. I did download PDF info from those classes though. I have in the past purchased a handful of their classes, but just this Mother's Day, my son and daughter-in-law bought me a year's membership.....how disappointing to not be able to enjoy this gift for a full year....I am really hoping/expecting they will be reimbursed. . .as they also bought a membership for her mom. I have made two of those Sewing Caddy's as gifts, never got around to making one for myself. Might be a good time to do that.
Well if all else fails, you could video with your phone and download to your computer. Hopefully Bluprint will find a decent way to make it right for everyone. Joy, have you tried "Flonaise" ? Once a day and does a great job for my husband.
Yes, Diana, I have tried all the nose sprays. They work great for a few weeks, and then they do nothing at all. The only thing that always works for me is Benadryl.
I don’t know if you use an IPad or not, but if you go to the blueprint site where your. Lasses are click on the down arrow and it will bring the class up. I then chose the box in the upper right corner with the arrow, scrolled over until I found books and selected that. The file immediately saved to books and is easy to find.
I got an email that they were shutting down! The email did say they were looking at various options to get the classes we purchased to us. I hope they come through.
From what I understand if you have an ipad and an apple computer what you put in the cloud on your ipad.. you can open up in the cloud on your iMac ... also I just read blueprints letter on their sight and they said something about trying to find a way to give the people a copy of the classes that they have purchased.... so hopefully they will find a way to do that so you can have a hard copy or someway of accessing your classes...
If you go to the App Store and download Files app it is a blue folder, that should allow you to access your files. I have lots of files saved on my iPad. Hope that helps!
I had a feeling that this was going to happen. It’s why I didn’t renew my membership. They deleted a couple of classes I had and I wasn’t too happy about it.
Shazia Rosay Amy Alan did a great Beginning Serger class where she shows you how to make a bag using your serger and sewing over the zipper. Then there were two other classes by Sandra Betzina.
You can obtain the Bluprint app from store on your I pad. Then you can download your classes and always have them . Google bluprint there are instructions. Hope this helps
First I had heard this. What a bummer to leave without people getting to view classes forever. Hope somebody knows how to help us download the classes. By the way, I love to listen to you, no matter the content!!
I'm very disappointed in Bluprint too! FYI, I found the following statement in a Colorado newspaper article: "In a WARN notice to the state, the company said that it is closing on or about July 22." The article went on to say 137 employees will be out of a job when they close. Best of luck to us all to get our classes downloaded before July 22. I would suspect Bluprint will tell us all how to download our classes on July 21st and have their website crash due to the amount of people trying to access it. LOL. I won't be holding my breath that we will be able to keep our classes. Such a shame!
I usually save everything to iBooks but I haven’t tried a class. I only have a few so I’ll go try and see if it’s possible. If not I have no clue Joy. This is disappointing. Nope doesn’t work and I have no tech skills. I hope they come up with a solution for you Joy. I was able to save the sewing caddy pattern. Looking forward to making it. Thank you!
Margaret Rose I have some difficulty navigating iBooks, but I do have things there I can eventually find. I will go try to download my classes and see.
I’m actually disappointed in the number of comments about consumers’ losses. My first concern was about the loss that the artisans and other Bluprint staff have suffered in losing their jobs - and sent them a letter expressing this. The company have made it clear in their communications (which I received - and I live in New Zealand) that they are looking into ways for people to be able to retain access to the classes. Surely there are far more important things going on in the world to focus on!
Joy - try to down load the class to your Android phone (if you have one). Then email the file to yourself. You should be able to then open it on your PC and save it to your computer. Try it and see if will work for Blueprint. I have not personally purchased any classes so I cannot try this . But this is how I save all my patterns. After you have confirmed it will save on your computer you should be able to delete it from you phone.
I knew about Craftsy changing to Blueprint a year ago and have been upset about it and I only had 3or 4 classes. I just refuse to buy any from Blueprint because what would keep them from doing the same to us again. Dirty business practices!!!
@@nottetheredtomyphone5624 that is where it looked like it put the few I had room for on my ipad. How do you get the files out from under the bluprint app so you can access them. I am assuming the app will not work either once they shut down the website. Can't see them support just an app when they are trashing an entire site they were still taking subscriptions for over the weekend. Strange. Crossing my fingers we will be treated justly.
Joy, don’t waste any more of your time trying to download your Craftsy/Bluprint classes to your iPad. Even if you scroll your screen around until you find the blue file folder, the only thing you will find there is your downloaded class materials, not the videos themselves. The Bluprint app knows how to find and decode any downloaded videos, but that won’t do you any good if Bluprint goes away. Think about it: If those classes really downloaded in an unencrypted standard video format that you could view with any old video application, unscrupulous people would have been stealing the video content left and right. Seriously, we are all dependent on the content owner’s willingness to crack the code for us to continue to receive access to what we bought. Isn’t the Information Age fun?
I already downloaded my 30 classes. It works as you described except after you see click the download and see it starting to circle, you have to close down the app. Then concept your phone or tablet to your computer. Your phone will be shown as a drive. You must copy from the phone to your computer. Then go back and start up the app again and select the next lesson. each lesson has to be done separately. Bluprint is encrypting the file when it finishes downloaded. You interupt the encrypting when you close the program out before it can encrypt. It is time consuming but you do develop a rhythm. I did 30 over a few days. I am investigating some other ways such as program called realtimes. Search for "download craftsy class" and you will see some ideas.

I smell a class action lawsuit coming on if they don’t fix this! When I purchased all my classes, they promised lifetime access!!! I haven’t viewed half of the classes I purchased!
If you read their terms of service you will see that we all agreed to no suits, only possible arbitration 😥
Even me.
@@AriesGlamourGirl that I agree on. Refund to us in full
Why don’t we all stop watching NBC.
Lillian Shemet I did stop watching NBC. Savannah Guthrie is just hateful and Kristen Welker is as well.... Love Hoda and Dylan.
Good luck! 😊
Yep. I read that when I googled for help. My Ipad doesn't have that blue file folder for some reason. It is quite old now. Probably five years.
Thank you for sharing. I have classes on there also. Going to log in to see if I can find something out. I probably wouldn't find any more than you have but I going to give it a try.
I have over 120 patterns from Craftsy I need to download 🤪. I am not thrilled about what they have done. Love the caddy!
Your top fits you beautifully
I just love the blouse you are wearing
I am in the same boat 100+ classes that I love to watch all the time... I read on Cashmerette's instagram that Bluprint is trying to figure out a way for us to keep our classes some how. Cross fingers it is a fair resolution.
Carla Lissa They should at least make them avsilsbloe for download... I can through craftsy app on my ipad, but not on my PC. IT is of course not at all practicle to download to the ipad at all... noody would buy a class and not being able to access them
@@Makapida Agree 100% anyway possible, but we should have access to the classes forever!
I was not exactly impressed with this awesome “design feature”.
made one years ago, they are fun. Got my pitcture frames at the dollar store, not sure if they still sell them. Never heard of blueprint
Yes. I heard about Bluprint. So sad. I love your blue top. That neckline is very attractive on you.
I think the acrylic stand in your notions caddy is just a 5x7 picture frame that you can get at the dollar store.
This is a SLANTED frame. That is important.
@@Joy4650B I don't know about the Dollar store but you used to be able to buy the slanted acrylic holder at Michaels. I would guess almost any hobby store would have them. I have no clue what they would cost though, especially if you wanted 12.
@@Joy4650B i have purchased this same frame at Dollar Tree and it is slanted.
On my iPad I save pdf and stuff to iBook you can create folders to. When you open page there is circle ⭕️ clock or map icon click it, then you use forward icon - like your sending it in text , then instead use message tab you open more then select “iBook “ it saves in there. You can then email them to yourself.
I also do this on my iPhone as well. If you need help let me me know glad to help.
Oh, man! So sorry about Blueprint! (I’m among those who haven’t tried it, but was thinking about it! ☹️)
Any ideas?
Thank you Joy, your so much fun.
I own a vast number of classes and doing want to lose them ☹️
O my gosh, I haven’t heard this.
I also have purchased a lot of classes through blueprint.. nooo, yes they need to figure this out.
Hi Joy love your work from Western Australia
UGH,
Yeah. Really small of them to not email us all. We are hearing it from each other.
300 classes.... Wow
I bought alot of classes from Craftsy.🤯🤯
@@amendez6358 I feel your pain I have 244 I learnt how to draft sewing patterns on Craftsy. I hope they honour their plan to ensure we have a way to continue with access to our classes. Im so disappointed and I don't think I'll be buying any type of subscriptions in the future.
I received an email from them but they didn’t give a lot of information.
I wonder if it could be saved to my Kindle app on my iPhone or iPad? If so, I can access it on my computer that way.
OMG, that weight is a fabulous idea!
JOY !
I haven’t ever purchased a class why would I when we have you 😂😷
😆😂. That's funny!!
I enjoyed your video. My iPad has a file folder, don’t ask me how but it does.
I love the blue top you are wearing. Hugs. God bless.
Ohhhhhh what’s happened with blueprint good job you told us what are we to do 😮😮😮😮
Hi Joy,
When you find out how to download our blueprint classes please let us know.
Hmmmmmmm. That is interesting. I do have an Ipad.
Dang, I need to get over there and check out a class I was gifted.
If you go to the App Store and download Files app it is a blue folder, that should allow you to access your files. I have lots of files saved on my iPad. Hope that helps!
I looked for that but didn't find it. I'll try again.
I had a feeling that this was going to happen. It’s why I didn’t renew my membership. They deleted a couple of classes I had and I wasn’t too happy about it.
Which ones? I don't even know what I have in my stash
Shazia Rosay Amy Alan did a great Beginning Serger class where she shows you how to make a bag using your serger and sewing over the zipper. Then there were two other classes by Sandra Betzina.
@@auntmayme8119 let check on those, thanks
You can obtain the Bluprint app from store on your I pad. Then you can download your classes and always have them . Google bluprint there are instructions. Hope this helps
I already have the Bluprint app, and I already downloaded to my Ipad. I cannot find them though. My Ipad has no folders and no downloads.
I hope that another company steps up to provide the same type classes.
Yes, I have purchased SO many classes from Craftsy. It's so frustrating.
Joy, for your allergies try Fexofenadine (non-drowsy), over the counter Works great with no side effects
Haven't heard of that one. Is that how it is labeled?
@@Joy4650B Allegra, I think.
Perhaps you haven't spent over $5,000 for classes like some of us have. This in no way reduces how we care about other people's issues.
Love your two tops.
🤍 That acrylic storage!
Joy,after I lost my classes with Craftsy, I said noooo way to Bluprint. I hope all of you can regain your classes or your money back.
I knew about Craftsy changing to Blueprint a year ago and have been upset about it and I only had 3or 4 classes. I just refuse to buy any from Blueprint because what would keep them from doing the same to us again. Dirty business practices!!!
Google “how to read my downloads on an iPad” and you will get the instructions. It’s about a 6-step process.
I did exactly that. I did what it said, but things it said to do were not on my ipad.
@@Joy4650B They are in the Bluprint App inside the Library.
There is a letter from the CEO on mybluprint that says they are working on a way to get us copies of the classes we bought.
Wow, I bought classes from Blueprint.
Thank you Ms. Joy for informing us. I, too, am frantically downloading my vids.😡
I only watch you, Vivmom, some Mimi G, and some Brittany J Jones. I guess I COULD branch out some.
Those are my favorite seamstress too.
You have to try Lifting Pins and Needles. She has great ideas and shares everything.
Do watch Tom Kat Stitchery you will love her
Have you watched Sew Custom from the UK she is fabulous
