The pirate leader in the movie is actually a Somali migrant who drove a taxi in Michigan somewhere. I forgot. There is a clip of him being interviewed by a news channel somewhere on RUclips. You can look it up.

This movie was based on true event, the leader pirate was captured by the U.S navy & was sentenced to 27 years in an American jail in the U.S for piracy Justice has been served
Some of us hate the fact the pirate was trying to tell as though the captain was a stupid child who need to pay attention. Had the pirate been unarmed and no hijack event, the person would have been brushed away like the trash rubbish the person is.
This is realistic real-life. This is similar to my experience without the guns. Talking pragmatically to third class Asian Indians and Malays who tried to pretend I am in the wrong for every petty thing that happens. They call me racist because I took the matters personally like any sane person would. If I included a stranger who is neither their people, they lied and pretended they have done nothing to me. That is bullying. And they behave surprise that I should have been "the past is the past" and not harbor actual hatred and disgust.

I think it was Minnesota. But yeah the 4 actors playing as pirates were all friends from the same area even before they filmed the movie.
"Lock and hold" is suspiciously advanced vocabulary.
